Sika holding a live chicken on Saturday Nights Main Event with Mr Fuji as his manager and biting it and taking its feathers off with his mouth is one of the memories I had as a kid back in the day of what I thought then was a scary man. But to hear he was a nice guy and well respected warms my heart. RIP Sika and condolences to Roman and the Anoa'i Family!
My exact same first memory when Sika name was mentioned, lol. Though just heard on some podcast, was originally to be Kamala but he had just quit, which actually makes sense cause the house shows were Hulk vs Kamaal earlier in year and that was the blow off formula for SNME
Sika and his brother were absolutely legendary. They were truly stars in the biz in the late 70s and early 80s.
As a young boy, I remember watching Sika and Afa in Sandor Kovacs’ All-Star Wrestling in Vancouver. They were sweetly nicknamed, “The Annoy Me Brothers” by John Hill, a Canadian professional wrestler best known under the ring names Guy Mitchell, Mr. X, The Stomper, and "Gentleman" Jerry Valiant.
Was he the Stomper before or after Archie Gouldie? I think he alternated between the Mongolian Stomper & The Stomper.
I loved Vancouver wrestling and Portland with Don Owens. Worked for Al Tomko in early 80s best time of my life
@Darin451 my grandfather served with Al Tomko during the Korean war
@@ithinkaboutthings9052 After Archie Gouldie (RIP)
@@pinotnoir6974 That man had a scary visage.
Rio rikishi told a dope story about watching the wild Somans training and he laughed and caught a elbow to the throat from skia
As a kid the Wild Samoans were the scariest heels to ever enter the ring. Thank you for the memories.
RIP Sika… 🙏
I remember seeing them in the Boston Garden as a kid in the 70’s with Lou Albano. The old wooden chair over the head spot was used and no sold by them. Just walking around with a chair hanging around the neck of one of them.
Terrifying and great at the same time for me as a child.
I still consider them the template for a monster heel team.
Sika and Afa had the BEST HAIR ever. Best pre WRESTLEMANIA era heel tag tea ever ❤ UNCLE SIKA, THANK YOU.
Lightest working. He never wrestled nia jax😅😅
To be fair she's not a Samoan. She's a Frigidaire.
How was she when you worked her?
Love watching your show and really enjoy Dutch telling us stories. Could you ask Dutch about I think his name was Bob Roop? When I was really young My Mom and Stepdad at the time took us to the Richmond Coliseum to watch NWA Wrestling we used to go a lot. Anyway One night Bob Roop was wrestling Ollie Anderson and Ollie just got so annoyed he just walked out. When we were younger we cheered for the Bad Guy's this was back in the 70's. My Mom used to tell us you need to stop y'all are going to get us Killed. We used to laugh, but The Bad Guy's were always nicer to us than The Good Guy's were.
First ever live show I saw The wild Samoans at my local highschool. And they made me instant fans. And were scary & couldn’t get over how gigantic they were. You felt like if they rushed into the crowd. No one would be left standing but those 2! RIP and my condolences to the family.
RIP. May god bless your family.
RIP YOU AND YOUR PARTNER SCARED ME AS A CHILD IS WHAT MADE ME A BIGGER FAN
Saw the Wild Samoans on Friday nights in Tupelo MS back in the early 70’s.
I remember Afa and Sika having a short program in Mid-South in the early 80’s against JYD and Mike George. Saw them live at the Monroe Civic Center. Good times. After shows we would hit restaurants on the highway to try and meet the wrestlers. Met several over the years.
I remember when Harley Race had Eddie Graham break a cinder block on his head with a sledge hammer ⚒️. Race claimed to have the hardest head in wrestling.
I wish Sika and Kamala would have had a longer run as a team. They were a scary team as a kid.
R.I.P. Sika Anoa'i
Yes I remember them broadcasting WWF on the USA network . Does anyone remember the old USA network ??
"I was stiffer than they were"
Uh Dutch, are we still talking about Punching?
Sika pulled a Fezzik for Austin Idol. "Everbody MOVE!" _crowd parts like the Red Sea_
The one trope worth remembering was attributed to gary Hart." Dont mess with island boys, man."
It was don't fuck with dem Island Boys
Sika's son Joe (Roman Reins) was an all-ACC Def Lineman at Georgia Tech
Dutch is ever clever
The video of him showimg utter disgust at wrestlemania 31 was classic. Seth was the harbinger of doom for Roman.
Oh, good Lord. For those who don’t know, the words trope & cliche are not synonymous; two different words with different meanings. James is what happens when you blindly repeat buzzwords.
The differences have been virtually eliminated in modern discourse to be fair, and he actually points out they are different and uses trope correctly
@@Dr.Quarex Listen to the clip again.
😢😢😢
Rip God bless but I wonder why The Rock hasn't said anything I bet he respected the hell out of him
New Jack tested the hard head theory on Gyspy Joe.
Sad Day In Wrestling
wwf was on tbs too before wrestlemania
Death was coming for Haku but got scared and grabbed another Samoan instead.
Dutch obviously never took a Samoan Spike!
does Dutch remember burrhead Jones in cwf ya didn't head butt him
The Rock is Black
The Rock is Samoan
Literally sold his head every match 😂
I remember in the late 70's I seen alfa and Sika tear a nite club in the Cleveland Flats up over some Idiot's thinking that The Samoans couldn't fight in real life lol
