I was at MSG live for that SmackDown with my wife and daughter. It was our first ever live WWE show. When Heyman denounced Solo, EVERYBODY went nuts. They were so loud I felt the vibrations in my ears. Awesome night.
Hey AEW..... THAT'S how you do a damn story!!! After a couple days.... everyone already forgot about TK being jumped! Not only was the crowd stunned, they actually felt for Paul ❤ WWE actually made the most despicable manager a BABYFACE!! Holy Schneikies!!!

Tony can book matches but can’t do storylines if his life depended on it, it’s like he’s playing No Mercy on the N64 with how he books matches, great matches with absolutely no story at all, there’s nothing at all to follow week to week, yes WWE can sometimes be boring but when they do a great story, they really knock it out the park, and the PLEs are 10x better than any ppv AEW does, osprey and MJF are wasting away in AEW with the way they book.
Sorry but i have to disagree with you. The question is, where the actual F is roman? He is not even injured after he lost to cody at mania. Solo wanting to be a tribal chief dont make any sense just because their lazy leader doesn’t wanna work just because he had leukemia in the past. Yuck!

Roman’s father did just die, you know; perhaps he took time off after Mania because they knew his father was sick, & he wanted to spend time with him.
Or maybe he’s just off because they wanted to build up other stuff while he was out; either way, the pop he’s gonna get when he does return, is gonna be fucking immense.
As for it not making sense, that Solo would want to be the new Tribal Chief, of course it makes bloody sense; he’s spent the last couple of years living in Roman’s shadow: having to acknowledge him, help him fight his battles, and do what he was told as the enforcer of the Bloodline.
But, all of a sudden, Roman loses his championship, and isn’t around anymore; with the Rock also gone, Solo sees there’s an opportunity to step out of Roman’s shadow, with the Bloodline being there for the taking, and goes against whatever Roman had said, and brought in his own group of followers & enforcers, so that he will finally be acknowledged as the Tribal Chief & Head of the Table.
…but sure, it doesn’t make any sense haha.
As for your comment about Roman’s previous battle with leukaemia…that is just a fucking gross thing to say; the guy had a serious illness, that could have ended not only his career, but his life, yet he managed to not only overcome it, but he also overcame Vince’s shitty booking of him as a babyface, to become one of the biggest stars in recent times.
If you don’t like the ongoing angle, that’s fine; not everything is for everyone.
But to say it doesn’t make sense, is just bullshit.
Brilliant, brilliant, top tier acting. Paul not only with his facial expression but mannerism. Did you observe the redness in his eyes & a bit of unshaven grey stubble hinting he's having sleepless nights over the new Bloodline actions and the way they're out of control and the way he looks at Roman's Ula Fala showing how much he not only misses Roman but how much Roman means to Paul.
Then finally with his delivery "I love you Solo. I acknowledge..... ". A deliberate short pause "Not as my tribal chief" with the huge roar of the crowd, that's classic wrestling story at its best. This is how you can keep the audience engaged without doing constant flips and stunts in the ring. Paul is the whole Mount Rushmore that needs to be studied by any budding promoter and aspiring wrestlers on how to deliver a promo, engage the audience and make them dance to his tune, whether boo him or cheer him. A truly oscar worthy performance. I'm just salivating when Roman finally returns with Heyman and Usos to confront the new Bloodline faction. That story will be for months.

Been a Paul Heyman fan since the late 80s but this segment solidified him as my favorite wrestling manager of all time. He was absolutely incredible in this.

In New Zealand and Australia - Tongans, Fijians and Samoans make up a large proportion of Rugby Union and Rugby League players in those countries. It's impressive considering the relative small population size that these island nations are comprised of.
Since out of the 3 Fiji stands out in Rugby for their Speed , and since Tonga and Samoa are heavily represented in American NFL Football , I want to see Americans scout some Fiji talent

As on one side you think "Reigns was the biggest heel in the company", but his loyalty to him, makes you respect him.
Even if you hate Paul, your now like "I respect him".
I've been watching wrestling since around 1980 or so. I've seen a lot of great stuff. This easily ranked up there with the best I've seen.
It only makes sense for Heyman to be gone for a while and then return with Roman and the Usos. I’m also hoping they bring Zilla with them as a secret weapon. I know Zilla is expected to side with Solo but having him be an equalizer for Jacob Fatu makes a lot of sense

What they should do is somehow find a way to write Jey off of TV over the next few weeks (injury spot at MITB perhaps?) and then have Paul, Roman & a re-united Usos return as faces........ We don't need weeks of Roman and Jimmy trying to talk Jey back into the fold...... The whole notion of 'blood runs deep' can be left to tell itself off-screen for the most part; just like Roman turning face off-screen(*) has worked just fine.
(*In that respect; I thought it was clumsy of them to have Jey allude to Roman as being a "scumbag" in his promo with Gable this week.)
............The only thing I'm wondering is how they write Rock back into the storyline if we're gonna get Dwayne v Roman for WM41. All the more reason why I think they need Roman to make his big return at Summerslam and then slow-cook the Bloodline civil war for a few months before having a massive Survivor Series match in November.

That bit of storytelling with Heyman and the new Bloodline was outstanding. Absolutely perfect in delivery and execution. Like Dutch said, I loved it since it came out of left field so to speak. I been watching wrestling since the late 1970's, what kept me engaged was what happened on the show I was watching, then trying to piece together what I think was going to happen on the next show, the following week. The spectator, in those times, didn't have internet dropping spoilers and leaks literally telling us what was going to happen. When that started happening, wrestling was almost totally ruined for me. The mystique was lost. There is a long story with those leaks during the Attitude Era I could go into, but lets just say I tried to ignore them, but the others I knew that did read those would force what they read on me, messing up my experience.
Back to Solo and Paulie. We all knew something was coming, just not exactly what. When the turn happened, everything else fell into place, but the way it happened took us all by surprise. This is masterful story telling, the build of anticipation, the act and payoff, all wrapped in with a nice little bow, for this chapter.
Ever since the ECW days I thought box office actor right there in Heyman. He's too good for this standard and could of been a mega Hollywood star. Total natural!

The fact that every time I'm ready to be done with The Bloodline they somehow pull me back in. Masterful storytelling
The Bloodline should have used a forklift to lift Paul. About him being absent for awhile after the attack, as Jim Cornette use to quote mama Cornette, "how can you muss me if I don't go away". So now I guess the real question is, who is the head of the table??????? Sakoa, Roman, or the Rock.
I'd imagine it'll be a long game. Roman will come back and unite the Usos and maybe another, feud with Solo's group, and long-term, Rock likely returns to put them all under his umbrella for one more Mania run.

How rare it is nowadays for professional wrestling to actually legitimately impress viewer, and not just in a "good-for--a-wrestling-show" way but in a narrative dramatica story-telling fashion a la Game of Thrones. From that surprisingly heart-felt conversation with Punk (amazing to think they've not been interacting) to the arrival of Cody and Orton (the Batman and Superman of the WWE), to Solo's laughing... to Jacob Fatu's arrival... onwards to Paul taking those bumps... someone who never takes bumps, this was expectation fulfilled with surprises, energy, and renewed anticipation!
Now the imagination is engaged... think of how many different ways this angle could go! And the X-Factor... Brock Lesnar, does he come in on the side of Paul? What's the Rocks' roll? What of Cody? What of Punk?
Bravo to the team at WWE! Moribund and devoid of ideas for so many years, coming out of the shadow of Vince McMahon's scandal, and HHH rising from the ashes of obscurity and bad health!
All this and we have have Nick Aldis vs Adam Pierce to look forward to!

Paul Heyman is owed an apology by myself and many in the community when we crapped on him for saying that the Bloodline story was only in the 3rd inning a while back.
I was thinking about the ridicule he got for saying that. It is absolutely crazy that he was absolutely right - the possibilities with Jacob Fatu, who really is everything he was said to be and more, Haku's sons, gangster Solo, and the monster reaction when Roman and Paul return (they babyfaced Roman without him appearing on screen for months!), the reunion of the Usos, Sami(?)...and that's before considering the matches. It's incredible.

heyman has been a face to the crowd and a heel to the other wrestlers for like 15 years now. thats what cody rhodes meant by heels and faces being outdated. you can be as big of a heel to the wrestlers as you want but nowadays that will make you a face to the crowd if you are a good heel. its not a either or thing anymore.

I don't understand the logic that if a heel is attacked by the heel, it is a face turn. Bayley is a prime example, she was a really nasty heel, then she got tossed out of Damage CTRL, and magically she isn't a heel anymore? She wasn't thrown out for showing compassion or trying to stop them from being evil, why did that make her a face? I feel the same way about Heyman, he has been a heel for decades, last I checked, Roman was a heel, and he got attacked for defending him. Roman may (or may not) turn face, but nothing convinces me that Paul is suddenly a 'good person'.
