It gave their L>A> dojo students and other "main roster" talents that were in America, at the time, a platform to perform on. From what I can recall, her husband was a wrestler briefly and when that didn't work out he moved into making ring attire. I saw them both on UpUpDownDown (the WWE-owned gaming CZcams channel hosted by Xavier Woods) before it came out that they were together, and they barely interacted. I can only remember them actually speaking once in the videos that I watched, and it came across like he was a kind of nerdy guy trying to start a conversation with someone he barely knew and she just responded out of politeness. Anybody who watched it would have had no clue that they even knew each other.
If WWE had pushed for the Mandalorian or any other Hollywood production, she’d have gotten the time off to do it. What she’s trying to say is that WWE punished her for going into business for herself at that time. She doesn’t know what the WWE would do now because she doesn’t know what the current WWE regime is like even with her friends there.

From what I can recall, her husband was a wrestler briefly and when that didn't work out he moved into making ring attire. I saw them both on UpUpDownDown (the WWE-owned gaming CZcams channel hosted by Xavier Woods) before it came out that they were together, and they barely interacted. I can only remember them actually speaking once in the videos that I watched, and it came across like he was a kind of nerdy guy trying to start a conversation with someone he barely knew and she just responded out of politeness. Anybody who watched it would have had no clue that they even knew each other.

The reason I say this is because in the past few months, I have seen several times online where Mercedes was in either photos or videos with another guy - a tall white dude who is pretty good looking. I think he was the one who carried her from the ring to the back when she broke her ankle in the match against Willow Nightingale in Japan. Then, I saw them sitting in the stands together for (I think) a Boston Celtics basketball game. And then I also saw them taking a selfie together on an elevator somewhere in NYC I think. And it was the same dude in all 3 photos. I saw pics of her and him together on her X page. And I looked at her husband's X page, and there are no pics or mentions of Mercedes at all in a long time.
