Marty Jannetty almost got his ass kicked by Ray Stevens. Marty was in San Jose, CA in the early 90s for a WWF show and all but threatened Ray Stevens (who was in his mid 50s) in the locker room. Apparently Ray was working as an agent at the time, and he questioned Marty who was half asleep about being too f*cked up to wrestle. I guess Marty didn't like it and got in Ray's face, so Stevens ended up going to Vince McMahon to let him know he was going to knock Marty out in self-defense if necessary. Ray didn't want to get in trouble with Vince if something bad happened, and Vince told him to do what he had to do. Marty wisely calmed down.
A couple years ago I saw Marty on something and he was blaming everything bad in his life on Shawn and Vince
That's par for the course with Marty. He obviously harbors a real resentment towards Shawn and envies his success and the fact Shawn outgrew him and cleaned up his act.
@@d.l.dickerson5489 I agree that there is resentment and envy towards Shawn on Marty's part....but I've always seen people say stuff like Shawn left the tag team because he was tired of "babysitting" Marty and all that jive....Shawn, at the time, probably needed a babysitter himself....he was screwing up with the drugs for years after leaving that tag team.
