Ableist are wild. Stay strong fellow disabled people.
The thing about the thick water is so infuriating, some people really need it but people who don't need it basically tuned it into 'lol this stuff is so weird and gross' without ever researching what it's actually for and some really good creators are also guilty of this!
What's the original tiktok about thick water? I don't watch tiktoks except in compilations, so I've never heard of whatever trend is being referenced.
My guess is that with most of the people they don't know what it's for so they don't realize that they're doing any harm. It's still not okay, but I don't think they're doing it intentionally
Yeah- it also totally adds to the stigma
@@cruztastrophe someone found, "thick water" at a drug store and, curiosity piqued, decided to try it out and it sort of became a tik tok challenge to go and purchase thickened water, try it and react, most of those reactions being in the vein of disgust.
In catching on as a trendy challenge, there was a risk of thick water supplies being reduced and becoming inaccessible to people who need it, prices rising due to increased demand, making it inaccessible to people who need it as well as shaming disabled people who need "gross thick water."

My problems with ableism as a witch in the community is the expectation to perform your craft to a certain degree. No, I don’t want to open my third eye, I have PTSD, I don’t need to see the shadow people in my house and increase my paranoia.
As an autistic witch with CPTSD, I want to validate you. I've ran into those people too, they tend to be the kind to gatekeep a public practice just because it has roots in some culture, like only Greek heritage people should be allowed to practice hellenistic paganism and druids should have gaelic heritage or something. There is also a side of the practice that is very free form, you practice when you want, how you want, with your own individual goals, and there are just suggestions for spells and paths that you can take to get there. I practice there in a mixed practice that leans into both science and holistic methods in tandem to treat problems in my life, I go to doctors when it's their specialty, I go to therapy, but I also do shadow work by myself and cleanse my home weekly and dedicate my cooking to the gods to honor them in my day to day. You can freely find what works for you. I wish you all the best.
No, I don't need to be in a coven. I'm autistic and don't want to feel like my practice is dependent on other people and vice versa and end up feeling like I'm "not pulling my own weight," in someone else's practice.
i got called an ableist slur today- no one did anything abt it and apparently people like to talk abt me behind my back cuz i “make weird noises” like- girl if u don’t wanna hear me stim then leave the room i’m not gonna mask again just cuz ur ableist
I mean if some guy out of nowhere in the hospital or the bus would just show you his pen*s and say watch this and ran away, wouldn't you also think something like: "my god what was that right now, what a weirdo" and afterwards it turns out he is mentally ill, when a supervisor try to calm down said person.
Wouldn't you still think this mentally ill person was weird?
And for the girls you behavior was just "weird" cause it's not common for them to see/hear disabled people.
The only thing you can do about that bad ableism is to be open about your disability and not be surprised if people may find you "weird"
Ableism is like those plushies that speak
On the outside it seems normal
but really, it’s just annoying
As a disabled person (autism and half deaf due to earplugs to help with autism) whenever there are no accommodations for me, I always look down at that person who designed it. Whenever a video doesn’t have subtitles I instantly despise that person as a lazy ass
If you don’t accommodate, you’re going to be despised, hard
For a second I thought this was meant to be for ableist people cause of the title lol.
My school has disabled bathrooms! (:
They are upstairs ;-;
same :(
Hey Spicey, just checking on you. It's been a while since you posted so I'm making sure you're okay.
I'm sure you're busy, just let us know if you're alright, please?
I find it so cringy when people say autism is a superpower, shut up warrior mum, I’m disabled
as someone both physically and mentally disabled (pots, gastroparesis, vcd, etc. and anxiety, depression, ocd, autism, etc) the amount of ableism is insane. like, why are there kids in school calling people slurs? why are horrible things like that so normalized and made to be jokes, and when it offends someone, theyre made out to be the problem. ableism is so stupid and how normal it is, is insane.
I love your content I hope your ok 🥰😁
The title implies that these tiktoks are ableist🤔 you may want to change the title as it is misleading. Tiktoks talking about ableism would work much better😊 just a thought.
i found the most recent vid bc i knew my stats would be better for getting noticed by you. i feel so ready to make my partner single, to take the express train straight to hell, to slide into the sewer. i have had these thoughts more increasingly but never wanted to act upon them as much as i do now.
Hey, are you okay?
Autistic people can't feel empathy?? Eh??? So you mean when I would feel bad for forgetting about my toys or not giving enough attention to one but too much to the other and feeling bad about it that just isn't empathy?? I think some are very empathetic, and yeah some can be less empathetic but not completely apathetic
whats the thumbnail? /gq
It’s a clip art of a variety of ppl with disabilities. 💙💙
@@OneSpicyDisaster oo ok thank u!
