I relate to people telling me I walk too fast on such a deep level. Not only am I neurodivergent, I am 6'3". I'll be going at what I think is a slow speed and everyone else is still power walking to keep up. Slow walkers cause a deep rage within me.
I personally have trouble making and maintaining friendships because I just don't really reach out to people. You'd think it would be easier now more than ever with social media, but even just texting someone seems like a monumental challenge. I really just forget that everyone else exists when I'm at home...
I usually just don’t have the emotional energy to deal with anything anymore :(

For the over head light thing I can only have over head light if there’s is another lamp on to sort of make the room a little more yellow instead of the whit light.
If I turn my light off and then on again fast enough, the light turns to a less strong, yellow colour rather than the bright white light

And yeah. I have 2 friends. Maybe 3 now! But the two are friends I've had from grade school and high school and we're all 3 undiagnosed, but I'm like 90% sure all of us are neurodivergent. We can go weeks/months/years without talking and then just... be besties again.

Some overhead lights I can handle. If they're soft bulbs and not fluorescent. Except my ceiling fan light. It has one of those cupped lamp shades /under/ the fan that throws the light up into the fan, making it strobe when the fan is on.
Yeah, that light is never turned on.

I work at the post office delivering packages on Sundays and holidays. I live in Illinois (no, not Chicago) and this last weekend, we had a lot of snow and ice, so my road and the surrounding roads (yes, I live in a city) were solid ice. Driving on ice is very stressful for me. Ya know, the sliding and almost killing yourself or destroying other people's property thing.
I got like four blocks away from home and my brain decided to let me know that I deliver packages waaay out in the country, where the roads would be even worse... in a little mail truck that has no proper snow tires or 4 wheel drive. And when it's not filled with packages it's super light and awful on the snow and ice.
I have a panic/anxiety attack at the second stop sign from my house.
My current boss is the only boss I've ever told that I'm autistic.
Her response when I tell her all this and that I can't make it to work? (via text because phone calls are evil)
"Ok" and nothing else.
Right now I'm thinking she hates me and wants me fired.
I took orange Halloween hair color spray to the plastic light fixture in my bedroom when I was 8 or 9 because the light was so loud. It didn't work.
HOWEVER!!! In junior high school my mom handed me down her old bedside lamp that had a pink plastic casing and my room took on a pink hue every time I turned it on. I never used the overhead light again. I also am the reason an email went out recently to ALL staff members at work, reminding us that we need to either have our lights on, or have lamps on, and that "natural light from the window" wasn't going to be good enough.
My impulsive thing today was that there is a book on political-economic theory written in 1928 that I wanna read, but I was only able to find it in German, so now I'm continuing to use Duolingo to become fluent in German rather than search and search for an affordable English copy. Because somehow learning and becoming fluent in a language to understand its 1928 dialect is easier than saving up more money and looking for an English copy, lol.
I will say, the German copy was maybe $8 with shipping, and other copies were over $70. So...ya, lol. This was my solution. Just learn a whole language for free so I can read a single book.

Ok ok ok ok ok. I NEED to know if anyone else does this. Do you assign colors, personalities, shapes, or tastes to words, numbers, items, or thoughts? Hear me out, March is green, 3 is neon pink, left is thin, and the jumpy boots in Subway Surfers are evil. And I don't actively do this, it just happens. Does this happen with anyone else???
