I just can't see the Young Avengers making any where near of an impact as the original Avengers movie without some great story writing. And we all know how we feel about that.
They *should* have done Young Avengers at the end of phase 4, and West Coast Avengers at the end of phase 5.
A lot of things they should’ve done. Like have an Avengers movie instead of secret invasion. Tease the Kree & skrull war at the end of captain marvel. Have one of the Avengers be a skrull in disguise. Much like the comic books even the Avengers EMH tv show did where they took Cap and replaced him with a skrull and infiltrated the avengers. Have Kang be the mastermind of the kree & skrull war, Thanos prophecy of the infinity stones, have him be the most notorious villain in marvel history. But they messed up. I would’ve fathered Kang kill someone in Quantumania like kill Janet for betraying him or some shit. Maybe Kang escaping the quantum realm and Ant-Man stuck in the quantum realm. There were no stakes in that movie just like The Marvels. There were no stakes nor connectivity.
Cassie got a suit from her grandpa and the rest of the family in the movie so she has a suit.

Honestly I think they’ll make Young Avengers a Disney+ show so that they can have a bit more of a complex story without trying to squeeze another movie in before the two big Avengers movies. I also think that this will take a while to happen because it seems like we’ll need the Agatha show first before we can have this big team up. Maybe it’ll be like the Avengers movie where it took a while for the team to actually be out together

If it is a six episode series then might as well make a movie because it is the same run time. The 2012 Avengers film did not need 3 hours to tell the story of six heroes and have a team up at the end. MCU is having the same problem as Justice League, they need members that can fit together and make future movies work.

I really appreciated all the variations of "white" when referring to Baking Soda Vision.
Might also be interesting if they decided to utilize Spider-Man as the leader of the Young Avengers since he's also young and all.
I love the idea of Wanda's redemption arc being that she's key to saving the multiverse. In WandaVision Agatha says "it's your destiny to destroy the world" and...she didn't. I could see her being the one to destroy Battleworld and recreate a multiverse without Kang.

Hoping they stick with Kang arc and Young Avengers focuses on Qeng and his young variant "son". Conflict of ideals and young Qeng flees and finds/is rescued by Young Avengers.

I'm 99% sure that the Young Avengers couldn't save themself. They are not heavy hitters that could bring back the audience...
Honestly we wouldn’t even know unless we see it in action. But good writers and filmmakers can make this a hit which marvel is lacking right now
I think one problem is that MCU fans aren't always comic book fans. When the MCU does things Marvel did in the comics, all I hear is complaining and "bring back Iron Man!!" 🙄

@@BrandonGavin_EDC what made the infinity saga dope and no way home and wakanda forever dope was storytelling and continuity. Stakes too. But the main reason was they did their research on these characters and some were hard core comic book fans. You don’t see that anymore.
When did you initially record this? Or at least some of this because after talking about Kamala and Kate it sounds like this was recorded before we even got a Quantamania trailer then we go back to current stuff talking about Majors and Kang

I think Wanda hearing her kids is akin to Dr Strange hearing voices that he can save Christine, its just the darkhold playing tricks on their minds. like the ring from LOTR, it was to be found and used.
I'm hoping that they pull Wanda's kids from a universe where they're kind of aged up but I can also see Isiah Bradley showing up in the next Captain America. Also really hoping Kate Bishop gets more to differentiate herself from her dad. I liked how in the Avengers game (yeah, I know) the AIM tech to teleport.

I thought Strange 2 addressed the end of Wanda Vision just fine, they just didn't flat out say it as exposition. The darkhold corrupted Wanda, tempting her by showing her visions of her children in other realities and getting her to use it.
Exactly, I don't understand why these people can't seem to understand that. The Darkhold was technically the real villain in M.O.M.

Replacing Hulkling with a different character be one of the worst decisions the MCU will ever made. If I don’t get to see Teddy on screen I will give up on the mcu forever

What If.....Ms. Marvel gets a second season and then every episode could be her recruiting each Young Avenger and in the final episode, we see the team fully assemble and use something like "The Young Avengers will return" while a variation of The Avengers theme plays.
That way, when a Young Avengers movie happens, half the run time isn't used to introduce these new members.

I think they need a second season of Ms Marvel to get a bit darker and less comical to build her credibility with the older audiences… then a series of her recruiting others would be very appealing-good call.

It would make more sense if that was all programmed into Jarvis not Ultron, because remember in the MCU Ultron was already mostly operational when Tony found him (confirmed when Tony and Bruce were in The lab talking about how the aren't even close to how advanced Ultron already is)

For the first time in a while, it looks like Marvel finally set up the Young Avengers pretty well. I mean, you have to watch the tv shows, but I think many did because it was during covid. They all have been teased at least and a few we already know have been "in training".

I hate to say it but the 'young' or 'new' or 'something' Avengers do not interest me at all so far. Marvel created the blueprint for team building franchise with Phase 1 => Avengers and then completely ignored it. Solo projects film and TV post Endgame are far below the mark of quality we were used to. Worst of all though they are unconnected and disjointed. They not only create zero intrigue and mystery towards a new over arching story and threat but they have actually diminished the work of the Infinity Saga. The current world of the MCU does not at all seem affected by any events from the I.S. aside from a random mention of the 'blip'. A giant alien world destroyer came up from the ocean, rips in space time formed around the statue of liberty with wizards and multiple Spiders Men fighting a guy made of sand, a guy made of lightning, a guy made of metal arms, and a crazy goblin looking older guy and NONE OF IT MATTERS.
It can't stay the same way focusing on few characters always, mcu needs to expand like comics. And mcu it still pretty much connected but you are still not ready to accept a bigger universe

The X-men will have a bunch of young members. I don't think you can have a Yong Avengers team. They might do a East Coast West Coast thing with some of them but that's it. I think they're gonna pull back on the Disney + shows and YA is more of a show than a movie

Of course you can. They aren’t even in the same universe to begin with. Last time I checked, in the fox X-men universe it looks like we’ll be getting the OG crew of X-men. Not the young versions of X-men anyway. Young Avengers can be a TV show for the small screen.

You need movie with a core of established heavy hitters with Thor, War Machine, Captain America (Sam Wilson) with an infusion of new blood She-Hulk (with improved CGI), Shang-Chi, Black Panther (Shuri).... and perhaps a chance for both Ant-man & Wasp. If recent movies (especially The Marvels) have proven that a strong foundation of iconic & well liked heroes are necessary
Sometimes your theories are reaching and you can tell you just make them for video purposes...but I absolutely love love this one. I hope you are right about everything you said in this video.

They didn’t show a lot. But they didn’t pass the torch to captain marvel or Spider-man as leaders of the next avengers. They were building up Spider-Man to be that next leader

If we're gonna get a Young Avengers movie, it's not going to be in the theaters. It's gonna be a Disney Plus special or series. Not a lot of people are excited for the young squad.
Edit: I also don't think they'll save the MCU from it's state now. They're not heavy hitters and a box office name. Fans are waiting for the X-Men, the Fantastic 4, and the REAL Avengers lineup. I like some of the new characters like Kate and Kamala, but the YA ain't the answer to the question right now.

Could Shuri Black Panther, Ironheart, or Toussaint/T’Challa II be a part of Young Avengers? It seems a shame to introduce them just to ignore them for the next several years. What about Miles Morales Spider-Man? We know he exists in the MCU, but we don’t know how old he is or even whether or not he has his powers yet, and having a team of mostly POC would be a nice change of pace for the majority whiteness of past teams. Also, if they’re wanting to lean into the metaphor of the young people having to fix the problems that their predecessors left for them, adding POC into the mix would certainly drive the point home.
If anything it will ruin the mcu with its cringe and just bad jokes and acting and uninteresting characters. Literally most of thr young avengers are replacements of original avengers but they are automatically more powerful and smarter like ironheart is so damm smart apparently and i bet in her series it will show her as the most smart person in the mcu or cassie who is now an expert scientist and is smarter than hank apparently. The mcu has fallen off so much they wont save it.

The Loki finale made it clear that the Kangs remained a constant threat. Remember that He Who Remains lives on through Victor Timely, too. The TVA already has its Kang.
