@@XxBretterzzxX My only trouble with all of these are cost! I am looking to put a revo intake on it, stage 1, spacers 12mm+10mm, and maybe a walnut blast and oil catch can!
Do they still make this system and how much was it ? Also does it just bolt onto a standard downpipe ?
Hey mate, yes they still make this system! This is a turbo back exhaust, even tho in the video mine was just the backbox.

I now have the full system and its loud when open but basically stock when shut!
Great video, my only criticism is that I would have liked a clip of the sound inside the car (showing in text on screen valves open and closed). I’m considering buying an S3 S-tronic sport back so I’m looking to see what the mod options are.
Good point! Perhaps I will try include this in a future video! 100% get one, so much fun, and obvs you get the DSG farts from the S-tronic! My next few mods are hopefully gonna be Revo induction kit, spacers, and stage 1 remap!
Josh Stimson I’ve had a MK7 golf r I currently have a MK7.5 golf R I just can’t justify such a new expensive car as I don’t do any miles.
I like the RS3 style grilles you can get and I would consider an RS3 style front bumper.
malakianleon you pretty much have an S3 then? Same engine and a lot say the Golf R is more fun to drive! Yeah I’ve contemplated a honeycomb grill! To change to an RS3 bumper I’d also have to change the wings as the arches are bigger
Josh Stimson I love my Golf best car I’ve owned its such a good all rounder, I’ve had a mk4 and mk5 golf R32 so I miss the noise but unless you turbo or SC it’s difficult to get good bhp gains.
I have found a website that does an RS3 style front bumper and grill I’m pretty sure you don’t need wings for it to fit but don’t quote me on that www.xenonz.co.uk/store/p274/Front-bumper-conversion-for-AUDI-A3-S3-2009-2012.html if I was to do it I would obv have a front reg plate and I would find a way to put an S3 badge on it (nothing worse than a fake in my eyes).

I purchased my 2009 S3 Sportback in October last year and at some point I'm also considering getting an aftermarket exhaust for my car, but similar to you, I am picky with regards to what exhaust I want due to working shifts.
I'm already aware on cold starts my car can be loud sometimes (in my opinion) & if possible, I don't want to be annoying my neighbours any more than I potentially already am... Which is what puts me off other exhaust system's and why interested in this one.
Similar to you (reading the comments) I've had people ask what exhaust I've got fitted and that it must have a res delete, be modified in some way or be aftermarket...
So much so that I've checked to make sure and its definitely stock.
I was just wondering if your opinion(s) on the exhaust has changed during your prolonged ownership? Have you had any issue(s) since having it installed in anyway? MOT advisories, valve controls faulty or stuck open/closed etc...
If you could choose again would you go for the full turbo back exhaust? Or do you think the cat back is enough? I am getting my car "Stage 1" Remaped/tuned later this month at R-Tech Performance. I appreciate the turbo back system would be better for overall performance however I also am aware the cat back system would also offer better performance over the stock exhaust as it is now and as you mentioned, irrespective of the valve controls, I would be concerned the turbo back would potentially be "too much"
How much did the cat back system you've got cost in comparison to the turbo back... ? As I can't seem to see a price or option for just a cat back on their website.

Hiya mate, so I ran the cat-back system for about a year and a half, found it perfect. No problems whatsoever with regards to the valve or fitment. It's loud when open, but probably quieter than stock when closed. I made the decision to finally fit the other half of the system a few months ago, and don't regret it one bit, sounds so good when open(less muffled and restricted than the catback) but relatively quiet when closed (baring in mind this is a performance exhaust). There is no drone with the valve closed at cruising speeds, oddly its most quiet 60+. However once the valve is open the full turbo back system is very loud, and pops on the overrun (not on demand like the newer S3 8V DSG).
With regards to cost, its hard for me to say! I was working with the company therefore had a contra-deal. However, I'm sure if you got in touch with them, they would be able to help you out with any questions or requests.
Getting it mapped will be one of the best decisions you can do. Mine is stage 2, running 350bhp. Even a stage 1 will make it feel noticeably quicker.

Yes the plan is to go Stage 1 initially and then weigh up whether it's worth going to Stage 2 or not with mine being a manual like yours.
Who mapped/tuned yours?
Yes I hope so! With R-Tech, they've been able to get 310 - 320bhp & 320 - 377 ft/lbs of torque from just a Stage 1 Remap on a fully Stock S3 with no hardware mods on a number of occasions. But obviously there's a lot a variables.. manual/S-tronic, 99ron fuel, 5w40 oil used, recently serviced etc...
I've had the following work done last week in preparation for the Remap;
Inlets Walnut Blasted, Car Fully Serviced using 5w40 Miller Nanodrive Oil, Haldex Oil & Filter Serviced/Replaced, Oil Sump Removed & Pick Up Pipe Replaced, Cam Follower Replaced & the Diverter Valve replaced to the newer Revision G variant.
So I'm hoping on the day it should be pretty straight forward when it comes to the Remap... 🤞😂

I actually purchased my car already with a remap, I didn't know this though, until I contacted the previous owner about it and he said it'd been stage 2 then put back to stock (he wasn't sure if the map had been flashed to stock or not) so I got it dyno'd and it made 340bhp, then now with the turbo back around 350bhp.
Sounds like you've done pretty much everything you can do to prepare for a strong map! Defo let me know how you get on mate.
