  • Welcome along on our first canoe trip of 2022! Albeit a short one, it was fun to get back on the water and enjoy some time outdoors. We decided on a Friday that we wanted to head out on Saturday so we put together a quick overnighter on Spider Lake at the Massassauga Provincial Park near Georgian Bay. We were really lucky to have nice weather and a tolerable amount of bugs 😅
I hope everyone has been able to enjoy some Spring tripping this year!

Nice to see you got such beautiful weather! I want to frame the footage you got at 18:23 - the sky is stunning and the mist rising off the lake *chefs kiss*

So great to see you, Matt and Bucky out on the first one of the year!! You guys genuinely love being out there and it shows in your chronicles. That was a lotta ticks! Wow!! We have one here in new england called the lone star tick that apparently can make you allergic to red meat. Im surprised that Bucky didn’t hear or smell the critter walking around camp at night. We have a 7 lb shorkie who has all four of us completely trained and we love it! I would like to start backpacking again and at some point maybe get a pit bull. Not because of their viscous rep but their body type seems so sturdy for backpacking. Syntax 77 here on youtube has one. She’s sweet as rain. Again, great to see you all again. Take care. NQU

We are so excited to be back out in the canoe! I wish Bucky would bark or something to scare things away but I guess the fact that she didn't meant she didn't think it was much of a threat haha She's also a pretty serious rescue so maybe she saves the alarm bell for bigger problems...she probably thinks I'm a wimp lol I know what you mean about getting a sturdy dog, that way they can carry their own gear! We watch Syntax 77 as well and I agree, that dog is really sweet. Thanks for watching!!
