Burns, Bugs, and Bears - French River Provincial Park

Back to the French River! This time we checked out a different area of the park, starting at Hartley Bay and working our way into the solitude of the Pickerel River, heading down to Georgian Bay. We set out with a site in mind and you can see for yourself if we got lucky or not! 😅
I wish I could have captured better footage of the bears (but the GoPro is a really wide lens and everything always looks really far away). Cool experience though! I feel like I've been waiting to see my 'first bear' for years.

Were you using the Unlostify map? The Unlostify map is from 2018 and the site numbers were changed in 2021. The fire was also in 2018. If you were at site 910 on the Unlostify map (and it seems there is no site numbered 910 anymore) then you could have gone down to #911 but it would have been burned out as well.
