I don't know if it was included in the clips you saw, but the blonde guy in the sunglasses is the announcer for the world tournament, and has been for EVERY one we see in the show, he recognizes Goku's group because he saw Goku, Krillin, Roshi, Tien, Piccolo and Yamcha in 3 tournaments and welcomes them fondly (he's known Goku and Krillin since they were about 13 when they first entered a tournament); he is one of the few humans who knows that ki, flight, energy beams, and magic are all real instead of just 'special effects' like most people think, he even asks Goku if it was really them who beat Cell instead of Mr Satan because of this.
He's a fan favourite because he seems pretty chill and down to earth, and always respects the z fighters
Dude said i want to be in this waiting sequence of gotens head dive and put himself in, im dead lmao. but yeah this was a good place to showcase their character differences, it really showed how much Trunks is Vegetas son in terms of the personality and age experience. I loved this fight as a kid. The jokes on the fat lady was funny too lol

Yea unfortunately goten was at a disadvantage but put up a good fight. 1)trunks is a few years older I believe. 2) not to degrade chi-chi’s training for goten because she does indeed train him but considering it’s shown that trunks trains in the gravity chamber with his father he has had more intense training. Also bruh can we just talk about the fact that they are super saiyan this young. All those years of literal blood sweat and tears vegeta spent to go super saiyan and the younger generations are just naturals.

Goten is naturally stronger in my opinion. Trunks had a better training partner and the hyperbolic time chamber

I love this fight, it showed the potential of the new generation. The problem with kid Trunks is he's totally Vegeta's son: he's almost as cocky as the father, he only lacks "I'm the prince of the Saiyan's son!"

Trunks is older so that was a bit obvious x) he was born before the cyborgs came, and goten after cell's death so there is if i'm not wrong approximatively a 1 and a half years gap between the 2
no age has nothing to do with Trunks W being obvious. I think its because Trunks got to train a bit more intensively with Vegeta, while Goten had to train a bit with chichi and gohan but still chichi must have givened him more homework on top of that.
@@bryanu1737 goten became ssj first if i remember well and even if Trunks works with Vegeta, goten is younger and a nearly 2y gap, at this age is an enormous advantage

As far as Trunks vs Goten goes, yes Trunks is older and just a little stronger.
Goku learned the Kamehameha as a kid too, that was a big point in the original series where Roshi spent 50 years developing it only for Goku to get it before he's even 10.
On that note, I don't know how much was included in what you saw here, but the tournament announcer is the same one from back in the original series too, he's one of the few people who's in on all the ki stuff and was absolutely elated when Goku and company returned to the tournament scene.

goten never had that kind of training that trunks had and overall trunks is older and probably more experienced. yet goten still managed to keep up with him. no one should underestimate him.
Idk why but vegeta with that punching machine scene always reminds me of a roblox dragon ball game I played as a kid. You could literally control what percent of your power/ stats you use and I just remember putting it down to like ~10% or max, having other players use scouters to see my fake low power level and think they can beat me up only to pull a “it’s over 9000” on them lmao
