The announcer thought Videl killed Spopovich so he was about to disqualify her, but Spopovich turned out to be alive still so she didn't actually get disqualified, the match just continued like normal.

@@bryanu1737 Maybe unfair, but you can't kill your opp to win in the Budokai Tournament. Luckily for Videl, Spopovich was able to take that blow and still live.

Goku's face says it all, he can't interfere out of respect for videl's fighting pride, but he is disgusted by Spopovich's cruelty.
If Videl was able to bloody up Spopovich, then I'm pretty sure Gohan would have turned him into chunky yogurt with a single punch.
Definitely the most brutal scene in DBZ, maybe the entirety of Dragon Ball. Gohan wouldn't just have whooped Spopovich's ass, he probably would have killed him in one shot.

@@rogersmith9535 the reason I think he woukd try to make him suffer is becuz in cell saga, perfect cell was probably around 45% of ssj2 gohan, and spopovich is less than 1%.....but who knows

This is the reason why Videl is a playable character in Dragon Ball Fighterz. Also you REALLY underestimate Mr. Satan. Dude is legitimately strong, he'd probably be Yamcha level if he could control his Ki. And thats not a bad thing when you compare Yamcha to the average human.

He doesn't even try to compete in the Budokai, which I must remind you he NEVER passed the first round, and his only true fight in Z was the Sibamen. Android 20 one shotted him, the Cell Jrs don't count, and the ginyu force was filler. So its not a stretch to say hes Yamcha level.

The average human has a power level of 5. Hercule is stronger than the average human but i doubt his power level is higher than 50
@Aimin he technically is, his power came from Babidi the M on his forehead not only shows that he is under babidi's control but it's also wear all his power is coming from. Spopovich and yamu were both normal human fighter's with no powers to begin with imagine what babidi's magic can do for someone with actual power to begin with?

0:54 that throw actually doesn't rely on much strength at all, it's all about using the opponent's momentum and utilizing your body's ability "lock" it's joints when your arms are outstretched (in the same way that the hard part of doing a bench press is actually getting it to full extension, but once you get there it's easier to hold up than it was to get it there)

Spopovich is weak even compared to human z fighters. He's just got a crazy endurance because of Babidi's spell.
I mean by far the weakest human Z fighter at this point was Master Roshi, and he could blow up the moon. So that doesn't even begin to cut it. Spopovich could beat perhaps low level ki users, and non-ki users that's it

Will he be able to beat strong non ki user though? People like Namu, Bora and General Blue are all non-ki user but they have shown a superhuman feat.
Namu jump several feet and give kid goku a good fight. Bora tanked a bullet and able to throw both Yajirobe and Goku far above the clouds. General Blue destroy post Roshi training Krilling in one on one duel.

the reason nobody stepped in to save videl was because she didn't give up, so the match was still within the rules of the tournament.
tournaments in these get bloody af so only if you give up and the opponent still keeps hitting you then people can step in.
btw the rules of the tournament are: 1-no weapons 2-no armor 3-don't kill your opponent, so anything goes if you stay within these rules. Unless I'm missing one rule

She should have just knocked him out of the ring from the start, although I don't think she would want to win that way. Babadi was continually feeding Spopovich power, that is the only reason he kept getting back up. If Babadi wasn't involved and this was a normal fight Videl would have won, hands down, KO. But she had no idea , who Babadi was or that something like that could exist to this point where power, could have just kept feeding to someone. But yeah definitely hands down Videl would won if this was a normal fight and if Gohan got involved that guy would been sent into orbit. I'm exaggerating a little bit about Gohan but still. If Gohan got involved that guy wouldn't have just lost, or got 1-shotted but he would have been sent flying far out of the tournament area. I'm telling you Babidi is the only reason why Spopovich stood a chance. He was just continually feeding him strength.
