Warning;English is not my first language
I live in India North East and we do have tribals celebrities, I am a big fan of one of the ladies in a music video where she sang some part I always thought she was more beautiful than the mc of the mv so I collected her pics from ig and Facebook in my phone. All my friends knew how much I liked her. One day a friend of mine called me in early morning which was unsual, long story short he saw the girl I longed to meet for and called me, which was near a cafe not far from my apartment, I was nervous the whole way and was thinking what I would say to her when I reached there my confidence flew away as I could barely look her from afar shaking, long story short I went to her and ask her for a pic (she was disguised and was not wearing makeup) but I knew it was her, she suddenly said she was sick and annoyed of ppl like me and told me to get lost.. I was so sad that day bec she wasn't what she looked like

I picked up *Roger Moore* in my taxi once. Because it was night, and he sat in the back, I didn't realize who he was. I was starting to become a professional singer, and we spent the whole half hour journey talking about ME and my dreams. He never once appeared to care that I had not recognized him. He gave me ideas advice and encouragement that actually led to me working as a singer for a decade. When he got out of the car, I turned around and switched on the interior light. He paid me £20 for a £14 trip, and as he got out, he said: "Well, good luck with the gigs." And he rolled his eyes as he smiled in that Roger Moore way, and my jaw dropped as I realized who he was. He was one of the nicest, most caring people I've ever met.

I've met a few so-called celebrities over the years. My favorite was Paul Newman. We met at Mid-Ohio race track while he was racing. We talked in the pits after the race and talked about racing, cars, and living in Connecticut, just small talk. We talked about everything but acting and I think he enjoyed it as much as I did, we talked for more than half an hour and the next day he spotted me in the pits again, called my name and waved as he was preparing for his next race. A classy guy who you wouldn't mind paling around with.

One of my friends is an instructor at a very well-known trade school for car & truck mechanics just a mile or two west of Phoenix. He was in his class room, doing paperwork between classes, when he looked up to find Nicholas Cage standing in front of his desk! He extended a hand & said, "Hi, I'm Nicholas".
My friend laughs about it to this day, because the first thing he blurted out was, "I think your movies are great!"
Turned out that Nicholas' nephew was taking an associates' in automotive technology at the school and being a gear-head himself, Nicholas asked for a tour. He was an extremely personable, likeable man. He later donated one of his cars, a Ford GT-40, to the school.

Yes - actors/actresses/singers of generations before the assholes of now really know/knew how to treat fans. they don't trash them/ignore them/berate them for interrupting their lives - they just knew to make a persons day by politely talking with them/interacting with them - make them feel important as they make them(star) by taking the time to ask for an autograph & thank them. Todays movie stars are just a bunch of arrogant self-indulged pricks. Men & women.

A few years earlier stateside in DC, Dad was at a jazz club and and the guy next to him at the bar commented how good the drummer was and they talked jazz over (more) drinks for about an hour. It was Jack Lemmon. He didn’t act like a movie star, just another jazz fan soaking up the scene. They don’t make movie stars like that anymore. He was stopped at a red light and his chauffeur allowed me to approach him and tell him how great I thought his singing was. He shook my hand off, called me kid, and gave me tickets to his show he was playing a few days later in Clearwater. He stayed stopped at the traffic light for 5 minutes talking to me. I was thrilled. I even teased him about his ridiculous tan he got in Florida. He was nearly red. LOL He loved that I poked fun at him. I'm Canadian and was on holidays, but I did go to the show I had tickets for and I took my grandparents with me. If you didn't show enough enthusiasm to please his ego, he was happy to let you know how unsophisticated and uninformed you were. And he was very, very good at it. I can't explain it. Many years ago when I was young I met Agnes Moorehead. A more gracious lady would be hard to find. Also when I was young I went to a play starring Geraldine Page. As she left the theatre she stopped to speak to her fans as if they were old friends. Not all celebs are jerks.

I met Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez together promoting their movie when I was working in TV. Emilio was REALLY cool and easy to talk to. I think I talked to him more. He was just another guy and his dad, Martin Sheen, whom I had seen forever on TV was just as nice, too. In fact, I told Martin Sheen , "It's a real pleasure to meet you Mr. Sheen." He said, "Call me Martin." Very warm guy. No, Charlie wasn't there and he was not discussed, but he WAS something of an elephant in the room (he had gotten some bad publicity at the time). Nevertheless, I liked Martin and Emilio. Neat guys.
