But theres polite ways to do it. For example, Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider was spotted at a six flags with his family and a lot of people wanted his autograph. He said "I really appreciate you guys, but today I'm dad". After that they all left him alone. You can't treat people like dirt or not acknowledge them, that's just being a jerk. You do have the right not to pose for pictures or sign autographs, but you have to tell them no in a civilized way.
I hate when people assume some celebrities are bad to their fans or are rude in general. Celebrities are people too they make mistakes. They can't be 100% perfect 24/7. Especially when literally the whole word is watching them. I can't believe people believe rumors so easily without looking into it more before they make a judgement.

Sometimes fans are the ones who overdo things. Actors are entitled to have personal lives even if they work on the big screen.
WatchMojo took that clip completely out of context where Tobey Maguire opened his car door on those people.
1. Those people were not "Fans" they were paparazzi who were blocking the road and flashing their cameras in Tobey's face.
2. From another youtube clip where one of the paparazzi filmed from another angle, you can hear Tobey repeatedly saying "Guys back up I can't see the other cars." instead of moving they carried on flashing their cameras at him.
3. They were blocking the road so both Tobey and the other cars that were trying to drive past couldn't get through then when Tobey lost it and opened the door on them they began saying that they were trying to "help him" drive through.
So trying to drive through with a bunch of idiots with cameras flashing in your face and blocking the road then losing your temper with them after asking them if they can move means that you're treating your "fans" horribly? Misleading dick heads.

When I met Bruce Willis, he was a very nice guy. I met him at a 5 star hotel in Hawaii in the elevator, I just said "Hey Mr. Willis, you were great in pulp fiction, you helped make that one of the greatest films of all time!" and he shook my hand, said "I appreciate that, thanks, I hope you have a great vacation!", he even offered to let me take a quick photo of us but I insisted that was too much (this was long before every phone had a camera on it and everyone had one), he seemed like he genuinely appreciated me just telling him l liked his work and not asking for more, made me think about how much some people probably really do ask of him...

Not only because I have no talents whatsoever, but also because I'm a private person, and people get flat-out nasty if you don't prioritize them before anything or anyone else, in spite of them being complete strangers. People are just entitled, including a lot of "fans".
