CZcams reviewers: meh it's a flop because the hand gestures are gimmicky
I agree, its dunb watching people spend 2-3 minutes on the hand gestures lol. But what I did not like about my G8, was the screen was rather dim compared to the OnePlus 6 I came from. The G8 camera was WAY better than the OnePlus.
I got mine on Swappa for $235 recently. Best $235 I've ever spent and it was brand new

MKBHD preached manufacturers to make smartphones a bit thicker for a bigger battery, and when LG did that he didn't mention it and shat on the them instead..

The color accuracy of the G8 display is the best in the biz right now, even better than that of the S10's
Great phone, definitely will get one. Will buy the LG G8s.
The S is a worse phone, there isn’t much coverage on it but it basically has worse cameras, lower res screen, no boombox, and no quad DAC.
Just a little worst, it still have a 6.2 OLED FHD+ display that helps battery too, DTS surround and penta cam having a extra telephoto over the regular G8
Igor Mateus look up the specs, it doesn’t have the same cameras + a tele (like the tripe camera G8 models in some regions), the G8s uses smaller apertured and sensored cameras.

The LG Thinq was the first phone I got from AT& T, was I was still with AT&T. This phone lasted me 3 years! It was a fantastic phone! I didn't have one problem with it the whole time, until upon the 3rd year, it said in the middle of the home page that it needed an update. But, there wasn't any way to update it, since they didn't provide updates any longer. I would have bought a second LG Thinq if I could have. It was the best phone I ever had! It was also thin, black and sleek. It looked nice and I loved that phone!❤😊

you know you can deactivate the had gesture if you don't want it so whats the big deal?
What are your thoughts on Display bezels they seem quite big or are they smaller in person ?

The Korean G7 had a front facing speaker along with the boombox speaker.
Since 2010 LG has the BEST Costumer Service. Fastest repair and nicest staff.

LG G8 volume for headphones normal ..... home speakers or car 3.5 mm jack (maybe bluetooth I don't know) level volume punch, discern - recognizes that they are not headphones ( not to injure your ear ) for speakers or car system etc... increases by several percentage?! Is this true? I watched an LG review and mentioned it there said. For example + for headphones normal level 90+db, and for the home speakers system or car it raises the sound 100-110db+.... It's Fleksy. Grab it from the Play Store. This particular theme is the light color changing one.
Lg is good quality innovative brnad with least publicity not like other brand who copy fetures features form Lg and then showoff. Many new technology are frist introduced by Lg such as qhd display in mobile and curved mobile , etc. High quality products are made by Lg it is the most underated brand but people like showoff.

lg still produces phones,phone production will be in Vietnam and china . That's what Samsung did, a few years ago, the production of phones turned off in south Korea, and switched production to vietnam, China , india ......

I just got LG G8 and unfortunately I am very disappointed with the quality of the sound. It sounds like a low quality speaker, muffled even. After speaking to an LG rep at an AT&T store, she told me to turn on the DTS:3D Surround feature. I turned this on and the sound still sounded bad. I'm coming from the LG V35. Everything else about the phone is great. I love the size, display, and feel. If sound is really important to you, maybe you should try out the LG V40.

I think this phone is definitely a great buy since it has lg pay, a rival to Samsung Pay, by using magnetic technology.
what carrier offers the LG G8 with an included case?
Ours is the unlocked retail version, and thankfully it says on the box that it includes the case. Oddly enough it doesn't appear that the US carrier versions include one.
Carriers want to sell you the extras. Ridiculous to see this happen, especially at these prices.

@@peterfrancis3865 did you try it with different headphones/earbuds to make sure it's definitely the phone? Did you check the settings for balance and loudness under the Hifi quad dac settings?

US buyers get ROBBED though because:
LOCKED BOOTLOADER (no rooting)
LESS CAMERAS than international model
Disappointing because this THIS REASON (locked bootloader) alone, I will NOT be buying this phone.
