    I have a 2017 honda civic ex and bought the smaller Kicker subwoofers that you got when I first got my car. Honestly, they sounded tinny and bass wasn’t as even toned as oem no matter how I played with the settings. I got one more replacement after but I don’t remember which one, and it still sounded worse. I gave up and kept oem, sadly I’ll say I eventually got used to them. Also, I have to say that Crutchfield has awesome customer service.

    Kudos to you for changing those out. Upon research, it appears to me that there is no way to separate the just the audio signals from the infotainment cluster. The sound you get through the speakers have been processed by the cluster/internal sound processor. My concern is that they are not optimized for aftermarket equipment, the resultant of which may be poorer sound quality.

    Hello! I have a2022 civic and just had the factory speakers replaced in all 4 doors with coax RF speakers and left the factory tweeters in. They installed a 12 inch sub and Kenwood Amp to run sub only. Now, the front 2 door speakers are louder than the rear doors. It sounds unbalanced and the factory eq isn't helping matters. It's all treble and bass. Can't hear midrange at all. I don't know if the installers didn't do it right or if it's the factory head unit. Any suggestion on a fix for this?

    • @Zspeed
      @Zspeed  Před rokem +2

      Have you tried adjusting the fader to favor the rear speakers. If that doesn't work, try turning down the treble. Looks like the problem with installing Coax RF speaker is that they have tweeters in the center of the midrange speakers, so you end up with too many tweeters! Is that the type of speakers that were installed?

    • @michellegloe1201
      @michellegloe1201 Před rokem +1

      Yes they sure did. I have since went to another installer and he told me it's Hondas head unit partly and the fact that the other installer put in coax. He's going to install a4 channel amp to help the door speakers out. I'm accustomed to having a great EQ so I can adjust all frequencies. Hopefully we can achieve that with the amp and I can get it sounding clean and not so bright.

    Good video, however you said if you de pin the wires, that the white is positive and that the blue is negative, which is incorrect as blue is positive for the center speaker and white is negative

    • @Zspeed
      @Zspeed  Před rokem +1

      If you checked the polarity and found blue to be positive and white negative, then differently go with that configuration! Thanks for pointing that out and thanks for watching!💯🏁👍

      @@Zspeed I found the wire diagram for the 10 th gen si, so looking at the schematic and it’s clearly blue positive, white negative, not trying to discredit you in any way, just a heads up, again, great video
