Your video was awesome for helping me with my install. Their directions say nothing about where to connect the harness! I will note that I seem to have new software and the CANBUS > settings were different. Mine were Simple -> Honda -> Honda-DA. Also make sure in the settings 'handbrake' is off otherwise it won't display the lanewatch camera while moving!

Idk if you ever found it but the radio amplifier that gets bypassed is located behind the passenger side panel in the back. The one with the cupholder real pain to undo, but the bypass does work

Hi, great video. My question is, where do you plug the optical cable from the amplifier? I saw you plugged only RCA's and i don't think the amplified version's speakers are connected to the head unit but to the amplifier directly. Head unit is just sending digital signal via the optical cable and amplifier is doing the rest. Thanks
I didn't plug the optical cable into the unit, but if I remember correctly, there is a port on the head unit. My unit seems to be working well, but I will look into rerouting the optical cable if I can find it!
Does rear camera work out of the box? on the Joying webpage they put some tutorial that mentions removing orange cable from one of the socket and connecting it somewhere else, for cars with manual transmission?
Plug and play, my backup camera 📷 works great! Just make sure you follow the video and place the Aux cables where I showed you and you'll have
no problems with the backup camera!
The 10 unit does it not fit like the 9 inch?
Does youtube play while youre driving? Also does the reverse camera work? noticed you didnt do the orange cable splice thing.
The reverse camera works great, just plug the Aux cables in by following the video, no cable splicing required! Have no tried watching CZcams while driving yet, sorry!💯🏁👍
Hello friend, yes, my car is an austere version but I have audio equipment under speakers, amplifier, which stereo grabbed the one that does not have an amplifier or the one that has for amplifier and did the commands work at the steering wheel?
Yes, my steering wheel buttons are still working after placing this stereo in my 2017 Civic Si.
Thank you for the excellent video-it’s greatly appreciated. I have a quick question about the Antenna Bypass Harness. Is this attachment necessary for the 2018 SI model's radio to function? I thought it was only required for the Touring model.
I believe it's needed for all models to get adequate reception quality for the radio.
FYI if you remove the clip on the bottom first you'll be able to pull out the radio a bit more

Excelent video! I'm eyeing the Joying unit for some time already but still not decided. I guess the two 4g antemnas are only needed if you will use sim card? Otherwise its not needed dissasemble the dashboard speaker?
Yes, 4G antennas are not needed if your pairing head unit with your phone!

No, not without purchasing the tire monitoring pressure sensors from their website.
Thanks, I have the light for tires pressure popping up everytime the car starts and I was hopping it can be cleared with the new unit. The car dealer says it needs the original head unit installed. Mine went black a few weeks ago@@Zspeed

Thank you for this video I just bought me one can’t wait to install! Quick question if I’m not gonna be using 4G or the GPS in the joying do I need to plug those in? I usually just use gps on my phone and if it comes with wireless CarPlay that’ll be even better.
As long as your phone is connected to the head unit, you should be okay without connecting the 4G, but I'm not sure about the GPS connection.
@@Zspeed I did it anyways and it ended up working perfect. Followed the video exactly super easy to follow! I have an EXL model and had some left over cables that didn’t go anywhere like this brown one. But had no issues.

The new radio covers partially de air vents. Is it a problem? I see you can't point it downwards without air hitting the screen
No problem with using the A/C vent, slight airflow blockage at the bottom of vent, but otherwise just fine.
My question is with the splitter rca to have all 4 ... 2 front and 2 rear can i adjust the rear speakers in the eq to adjust the rear speakers or doesnt work??? I know only the front speakers i can adjust but not rear. I need to know please to see if it makes sense to buy the rca splitter
I was not able to adjust the rear speakers with the EQ, so skip the splitter and run your RCA cables into the rear speakers outlet on the head unit. I think it sounds a little better with that configuration, but it might just be my imagination!

Hi great video, so I'm planning on buying this unit. 2 questions, # 1. Is there just one RCA plug-in in the back if the head unit for an external amplifier and subwoofer and should i splice thst into 2 to hook to my amp, and #2 is there a remote wire to use for the external amp also. Thanks
Yes, I believe there is only one RCA, but when it comes to external amplifiers, I'm only a novice at best and could not tell how to wire it correctly!

I have a Honda civic ex 2018 I would like to do this too but I’ve seen in other videos it’s unable to get out of Celsius for the temp controls did that happen with you? Do you know is Joying has fixed that issue?
My head unit displays Fahrenheit, no problems with that!
What year civic is this and what trim ? Also do you still have the dynamic guidelines when backing up ?

Connect every plug possible, you may have some unused plugs when you're done!

My car is not equipped with blind spot sensors, so I am not sure about that!
Hi my friend hope you’re available to answer a question.. I’ve installed this head unit into a sport touring. How do I reset maintenance reminder and low air pressure.. I’ve tried holding down on the mileage reset. I just want to cancel the reminders out… thank tou
First make sure CAN box is set to RZC, car brand is Honda, car model is civic, and CAN box is set to 2016-2021-high if amplified and low if not amplified! Then try to reset everything.
I don’t think the tire pressure can be reset unless I buy the joying tire pressure sensor that screws onto the tire stem…!!!! Thanks for replying and I’ll try the can bus selection

I have not been able to reset the oil maintenance reminder yet!
Use the steering wheel to reset the oil. Go to the wrench and hold the ok button on the left side of the steering wheel until it pops up for the reset

After the speaker install Z-Speed did the Joying head unit built in DSP and using the factory amp. Did it improve the sound of your speaker setup?
Yes, after adjusting the equalizer, the sound definitely improved!

I'm sorry, the radio antenna wire that you insert to that area with the blue wire. Mine is shorter than the first one mentioned when you had mentioned touring. Was that the same for you as well? It seems like i wasn't able to push it in all the way for contact.
How is the brightness? I got a different aftermarket radio but compared to the Oem radio it’s noticeablably a lot darker especially during the day. I’ll probably get this radio if the brightness is good 😊

Probably you have night mode on. Those aftermarket screens are usually very bright.

I have not been able to access or reset my maintenance list either, if I figure it out I will definitely let you know!!!!
Another way to reset the maintenance stuff is using the steering wheel. Go to the little wrench and just hold the ok button on the left side of the steering wheel until it pops up with the reset.

Does the camera in your mirror still come on when using the turn signal?

How do you determine the correct CAN BOX TYPE
Select RZC, then select Honda, then select Civic, and finally select 2016-2021 high if you have an amplifier or low if you don't have an amplifier!
I just bought and installed this radio, work good but for the factory code for radio i have a 5 digit code for my radio and this unit is asking for a 4 digit code? I have an LX 2019, any ideas

Yes!
Do you experience any buzzing/static sound with this unit when no audio is played? Some users reported it and seems its due to two amplifiers.
Only a very faint hum when the unit powers up, nothing that is too loud at all, no buzzing sound or anything like that!
@@Zspeed just to clarify do you only hear it at startup or do you hear the buzz/static all the time ? Also does volume level affect the buzz/static?
I only hear it with the volume off. It doesn't increase when the volume is turned up. My unit only has a low level hum with volume off, no buzzing sounds, hope this helps!🏁👍

No problems noted yet, but I didn't use the internet that often.
Will this head unit allow more bass for aftermarket speakers or do I still need an aftermarket amp?

It does improve the overall sound quality but you will need a better Amp for real bass output. I'm looking into that very soon!!

How can I find out if my unit is with amplifier or not without removing the original unit first?
You can go online and look up your cars specific factory specs or you can assume that it has an amplifier if it has a subwoofper in the rear.
I have a joying head unit I just bought and I’m currently having 2 issues, though considering I only just got it I might figure it out, but the blind-spot camera in the side-view mirror doesn’t seem to work, and I cannot change any of the car settings through the unit, any suggestions?
What year and model car, is it installed in?
@@Zspeed oh right! It’s a 2018 Honda civic Ex-T with the blind spot camera! Admittedly I literally just installed it today and will most likely need to check for firmware updates as well to see if that resolves any issues, I am overall very happy with it in spite of those issues, and your video helped immensely during install
When setting up your unit, go to Factory, then choose RZC for CAN box type, then choose Honda, car model Civic and CAN box choose 2016-2021 High or Low. High if amplified or low if non-amplified. Then go to vehicle settings and make that the turn right enter camera has a green check mark on it!
Those white clips are called Grille clips in case they do get broken. EBay carries lots of these for cheap.

So, for the amplified 2019 Si Coupe model, will I need to bypass the factory antenna or not?
Yes, but I found the antenna relay, it's on the passenger side rear panel, much further back than the 4 door hatch! Video coming out next month, hopefully!
@Zspeed Interesting, because I wrote Joying inquiring about it & was told we don't need to bypass the factory antenna. 🤔
Well if you're radio works then you are all set! If not, you will need to bypass the antenna!

You're right, you have the newer updated version of this head unit, which is a little bit different from the one in the video.
So back in 2020 I bought a 9 inch head unit from phoenix audio I did the install and no audio came out I had an after market sound system installed so basically it’s been collecting dust because phoenix audio sucks as far as trying to help me

I installed the new model with Android 12 in my civic with factory amplifier.. everything works great, but I have problems with the air conditioning control, it doesn't work properly, for example, I can't manually adjust the fan speed or switch the air conditioning on and off... I tried different can bus models but unfortunately it doesn't work:-(
Try RZC, HONDA, CIVIC, 2016-2021

You might have to go through each CAN Box type until you find one that will let you operate the air conditioner properly!

Do you hear any noises when volume level is 0? I have a problem with that. Sound quality is much more better in compare to origin but not clear. Maybe someone solve this problem already?
I don't have any noises with volume at 0, not sure what's causing the feedback. Double check each connection!
Does this retain lanewatch on equipped vehicles?
I'm assuming it should, because the left turn and reverse cameras 📷 both work on the Si.
How did you get the cameras to work? I have a 14 si and having trouble with the back up and lane watch camera.
Have you gone through the settings menu to factory, then car mode, then go to CAN box, choose RCZ, then Honda, then Civic and finally choose 2014.
The side view camera works on this too?
Do you mean right trun signal camera? If so, yes!

I saw the harness under the accessory tab for the joying with factory amp and it's the same one that you have in the video.

No tpms, without purchasing the wheel sensors!

@@Zspeed nice I went the other way I added one for bass and looking into doing one for the mids and highs and getting a better head unit was easier then adding a eq along with the other stuff.
@@Zspeed Are you adding an Amplifier for subs, or all speakers? Is the sound on the Joying head unit much better than the factory head unit? The reason I ask is because I bought this so my all-around sound would sound better than the crappy factory head unit that literally put out terrible sound and loudness. Plus, I'm adding external subs and amp and I wanted the all-around sound to be loud enough with subs or balanced. The factory head unit would not be loud enough.

I hope you make a video explaining all settings in detail. My factory backup camera was working, then I played with the setting. I have no idea what I did and how to get it back. Also, the button on the turn signal for the lane watch camera doesn't turn it on. Do you know which setting that would be? Thank you in advance for making the detailed settings video.
@Zspeed yeah I think we'd all appreciate an in depth look about the settings. Especially some info on the TPMS cause I've heard conflicting things. Another CZcamsr says it works than another owner commented on his video that you need special tpms caps that joying sells to make it work. (1st time I heard that)
I ordered it and jt is missing the connectors to connect power to the existing usb connectors. Im irritated andnim sending this unit back

My fingers hurt! Also, my stock head unit is now bricked. Continuously trying to acquire gps signal when it doesn't have gps.
Hey bud, but chance do you have any update on accessing the TPMS and other vehicle maintenance settings. Everyone i know with a 10th gen is interested in this headunit but the TPMS reset being accessible is the "make or break" factor. Any updates you have would be greatly appreciated!

So i reached out to Joying. If you bought directly from them you have the option to add on the TPMS reset/ with tire sensors for 36 bucks. If you bought yours from Amazon/ebay, Amazon has the tpms tire sensors for 39 bucks but it looks like you'll have to take the headunit back out to plug in the info relay unit.
Yes, you will need to purchase the TPMS sensors from Joying if you want to retain this function. I have them but have not installed them at this time!
The reason why you couldn’t find the antenna model is not because Sal’s car is a touring model is because Sal is a four-door, and yours is a coupe. You need to find somebody who has located it on a coup, and yours should be in the same place.

Plugged it back in and the head unit doesn’t turn on :( there was a brown colored plug and a black plug with a blue wire in my 2016 Honda civic coupe EX-L that didn’t have anywhere to go.

@@Zspeed sorry i forgot to mention, i have the factory amplifier. I bought the same unit as you did. When my original head unit was cracked, I spilled water on it and the head unit completely powered off for good. Maybe I blew a fuse?

@@eyeyamjstn628 Yes, the audio fuse was blown. I just had to replace it with the spare and it turned on.
Hi I just installed this unit on my 2017 SI 4 door. Did you lose some of your speedometer customization? I lost a number of things like the G-meter, brake/acceleration gauge etc. The only selections left are fuel economy and lap timer. Joying did not have a resolution.
Yes, I lost the little wrench 🔧 setting and the high REV indicator!
I lost at least 5 customization. 😢. This is a NO for me.
