After reviewing motel video footage, the incident escalates as the arrested suspect kicks out the patrol car window, resists arrests, and verbally berates the officers.

SAME! I was friends with a girl once upon a time. Her boyfriend at the time punched her in the face and broke her nose. I let her stay at my house , helping her to devise a plan on how to leave him.
In the middle of the night this woman CALLS the boy friend to come pick her up from my house!!!
Let’s just say I handed her ass to her and never spoke to her again.
My mom taught me and sister as teenagers never get involved in DV she had a friend that was killed over getting involved and the other woman was back in that relationship before her friend was buried.. 😢

The saddest part of this was hearing the absolute fear in her voice when she saw him in handcuffs, because she knew what's about to happen the second he gets out! It absolutely broke my heart hearing her come running up screaming "I didn't say nothin! Will, I didn't say nothin!...please just let me tell him I didn't say nothin...I need him to hear me say that I didn't say nothin! PLEASE!...its gonna be so bad when he gets out!"......that is so sad!

So happy I got out of my DV relationship…I used to be terrified to let people help me bc he’d try to attack them. I used to lie when people called the police, just like her. The fear really controls you…you get obsessed with the idea of not making them mad. Eventually I finally got the courage to leave on my own

She is not trying to protect him, she is trying to protect herself. The sad truth is even if she press charges that wont protect her and she knows that. A restraining order is just a piece of paper and stops nothing. If he gets charged, he might do six months and what do you think will happen to her after he has had six months to stew on it and blames her. The only real move she has is to move, preferably out of state.

UPDATE: It’s been 18 hours since I posted this reply and I see the original post here has finally gotten some attention that it deserves. Look I don’t like 50 more than anyone else especially after watching my son get beaten by them years ago. However, I don’t think they should be harmed in any way when they’re trying to protect women! That makes us feel like we aren’t protected by anyone which could lead to us cowering like puppets or walking around overprotective and hurting men just out of the fear and chance that they might hurt us. Both ways will end in chaos. I hope someone understands what I’m saying here.
If you haven’t figured it out already yes I’m a survivor of DA… I honestly never had the police show up when I called them and that was 30 years ago but I live in Philly. I also called and reported my 15 year old son missing and I’m still waiting for the police to show up. He’s almost 38 now…

I was a juror on a DV case back in 06. The woman was there supporting her husband in court after the state (California) pressed charges. He beat her (in front of the kids) for getting their son a haircut. Found him guilty but I always wondered what happened to them. Damn shame

This girl reminds me of myself. My dad finally had enough of me standing up for the guy and told me if I ever saw him again he’d get hurt. I didn’t believe my dad and he broke into my exes house with my brothers and I never saw him again. I know he’s alive but he never tried contacting me again after that. I hope this girl has family that will do the same.

He does not want g/f out of his sight. He pimping her out? He threatens to beat/kill the officer. Now she's defending him, "didn't say nothing", "gonna bail you out". This is why domestic incidents are so dangerous for officers. Glad the officer spoke to him in language he understands.

Nothing breaks my heart more than a victim pleading for her abuser. When I was in an abusive relationship and someone intervened, even asking if I was okay, I would freeze. I wish I had the strength to flee
10yrs in a mentally abusive relationship. I finally left, let me tell you.. that first step I took being FREE of him, was THE HARDEST THING I have ever done in my life. You are scared, because you don't know where that step will take you. You don't know how you will live, how your life will go. But it is better than living your life in a Prision you call a home. You CAN leave that kind a relationship, you just have to be stronger than the fear to do so.
