- On September 10, 2022 in Florida, officers responded to a complaint about a young man harassing a woman. The man had reportedly been sending text messages via text and social media despite the victim's requests to stop contacting her. Officers arrived to the victim's private, gated community and found the subject standing outside the victim's home. This is body cam footage of the events that followed.

Another girl died from a stalker somewhere in South Florida. It was similar to this case, the guy kept texting, and kept harassing, he was also one of the maintenance men in the victims apartment complex, so he eventually let himself into her house and waited for her to get home. Hopefully they are watching this kid, he is clearly unhinged.
Hope the neighbor who was ignorantly defending this guy felt stupid when the girl had to come to the car an announce to the offender and everyone else that she doesn't want anything to do with him and he won't leave her alone.
Protect her at all costs. Don't let her go ANYWHERE ALONE. This is how things turn drastic and fatal.

When that young woman said "I feel terrified" and talked about being afraid she'd end up as a story on the news, my heart went out to her. No one should have to live like that. I'm glad those officers were 100% clear with the stalker.

That information should have been communicated to him much sooner. It took the police getting involved for her to voice her feelings. If you want to behave impudently and "ghost" or ignore people, there are consequences. Learn how to hold the difficult conversations that give finality to things.

This young female would be able to go out and not have to feel as worried. Because at the end of the day the police and especially the court system are very ineffective at dealing with things like this. Too often it ends tragically before any consequences occur. In Canada where I live there is no such protection available. Courts let repeat violent offenders out with barely any consequence. They return to terrorize the streets and you can't carry anything for self defense. You better have a good excuse for even using a knife to defend yourself against a crazy person. Or you may end up charged.

The consequences of repeated rejection can be exactly what you hear in the video: "Don't let me end up dead on Fox news." That woman is in fear for her life on a daily due to this harassment. I’m a a dad and grandad, and if I’d had a daughter and this happened to her, I’d be extremely proud of her speak up, but extremely angry that it was necessary. This shouldn’t happen, but it most definitely needs to be called out when it does. Speaking up is necessary but also traumatic. I have only boys, and they KNOW better than this! My granddaughters’ are being taught from a very young age(the oldest currently 8) to speak out if ANYTHING seems wrong. I couldn’t encourage this more strongly!

Granted the people in the video can't kick them off the sidewalk, but sure as hell the owner can regulate who comes in and out of the complex. That girl and her mom are so strong I love them. I love that they called the cops and let them handle this awful predator too. The mom hopping out of her car to tell the neighbor to stay out of it as police were handling this problem. And I'm surprised how calm the daughter was able to keep herself when talking to police. I would be so scared dealing with a stalker like this, one of my biggest fears. Because I know what I'd end up doing would land me in prison the rest of my life.
