- On November 3, 2023 in Florida, officers responded to a report of an attempted kidnapping. According to the caller, a man and a woman in a white panel van had pulled up to a 9-year-old girl and tried to get her to come into their van. The girl's father was nearby and confronted the couple. The woman became aggressive, spitting and punching at him. He struck her in self-defense, and the couple fled. This is body cam footage of the events that followed.

When I was 7 yrs old I was walking to the local store for my grandma, I was approached by an old man who said his sister was sick and he needed my help. He took my hand and began leading off the main road onto a side street; call it a sixth sense, call it God speaking to me; something in my head said: "Wait, he's an adult, you are a child, how can you help his sister?". So I let go of his hand and ran for dear life, ran like the wind, back to my grandma's apartment building. That has stayed with me all of my life.
I was 9ish, Santa Clara Ca, I begged my mother to allow me to walk the seven blocks to the AMPM pm circa 1980. (First time alone to get a candy bar).
On the way back a white van pulls up next to me the side door slides open and there's two white males shifting their weight back-and-forth beckoning me to come closer to the door. Like yourself some sixth sense kicked in and I ran home. I can still picture the scene in my mind nearly 45years later.

The look on her face when the cop tells her she has been accused of kidnapping a child.

Cop said something about a missing kid, I dropped my windows and popped my trunk, about 3 seconds later cop yelled out "sorry thanks" and pealed off after a car that was nearly identical to mine that just went by. I witnessed an attempted kidnapping while I was picking up my sister from school a few years back. It happened so fast and I thank god I was paying attention. I was a little early waiting for the school to be let out. I noticed that there was a suspicious black suburban that kept making loops around the school. I saw that the suburban suddenly stopped next to a little 7 or 8 year old boy walking by himself down the block. I pulled my car immediately out of the pick up zone to check on the situation. Once he saw I was right behind him watching him, he sped away real fast and took off. I asked the boy if he was okay and he said that man told him to "get in the car quickly and not to ask questions"
Poor child looked so scared. I contacted the principal and authorities. Made some posts on fb groups to notify parents to watch out for that vehicle description. I have no idea if they ever caught that guy. I just remember being so panicked. And I thank god that little boy didn't get taken.

As the little boy ran past me I snagged his hoody and held him. The woman was begging me please let them go… they finally caught up and showed me their badges and said “ thank you”. Later as I was boarding a guy came up to me and said… “ wow that was brave!”
Honestly it happened so fast I didn’t have time to think about being brave. When I got in my seat on the plane… I did break down and cry quietly. No one knew. I felt bad for them but the woman was kidnapping and it was just emotional. Didn’t hit me til I calmed down.

Neither of the occupants were a female. Neither had on the green shirt that was described by the complaints.
