#Aaliyah #AaliyahMovie - Zábava
This took FOREVER to edit, I hope ya'll enjoy ‼ Aaliyah really needs a well done documentary at this point 🤩👏🏿
😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Will definitely be with seeing/ watching now
Lol you did good bro 😂I loved the editing
@Mari Christine Thank You ‼😅
Great work, Tony!!!
Romanticizing her relationship with this predator, melodramatic dialogues, mediocre acting for an overall blandness, inaccuracies in the stories and for the general cast, Wendy Williams directing it all…yeah, what could possibly go wrong ?
All of the above ‼🥴
the radio disney of it all lol 😆😂 her dancing wasn't good no offense.
the shade was shading 350 degree oven ,radio disney flavorless pie you roasted for real.
Not predator. A musical mentor. And they were NOT sexually involved. The fake marriage was a publicity stunt from her evil uncle Barry Hankerson who was responsible for her death.
@@musiclover-cn7tb Again let's not insult radio Disney like this
If Aaliyah gets another biopic, I want her family to be involved with everything from the music to the accuracy of events in her life.
Dream on her family ain't shit (except Rashad who is scared of mommy)
That won't ever happen. Her uncle just recently released her music to streaming platforms
It won’t happens until her uncle and mother pass away .
Her family the one who sold her off to pedo R. Kelly!
Too many secret that her family don't want out
I remember the night this movie premiered. It got roasted to hell on social media😭😭
You know I did too ‼😅
Lol I left work all early that night with snacks and everything to be let down lol 😆.
As it should have.
I was apart of the roasted session. Cuz it was terrible.
This was truly horrible. I will be so glad when a proper documentary is done for Aaliyah.
Me too. It's about time ‼
It seems like they'll do the same shii for Amys movie that's being filmed lately. And it's so sad
@@TonyTurner the other thing was nobody not even herself, knew how to pronounce her name in the movie, even though in the interview, she said how to directly pronounce it
People close to Amy are working on her movie though. So it won’t be as trash as this lifetime production. Plus it’s a bigger budget. All I know is that they better not put anything in there that wasn’t true. Because the Amy documentary pretty much sets everything straight.
She deserves a Netflix documentary or a Netflix series
Agree ‼👏🏿
I agree 💯💯
I agree
Nah, they'll just ruin & exploit like they've been doing lately. Her soul deserves rest & justice 👑
@@artistrevolution1016 Not if Rashad and her mother gets involved essentially
Chile the actress blocked me and I’m still blocked to this day 😅
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Alexandra Shipwreck we used to call her 😅
She got roasted for the Aaliyah movie and then roasted again for storm. 😂
Aaliyah was super private so I don’t think a movie was necessary from the jump
Honestly‼ I would love a documentary tho
@@TonyTurner a documentary would be good but it Has to be 100% honest and we all know her family is not telling the truth about the situation with you know who plus they need to make more funko pop figures of her like the “Try Again” look or “WNAR” w/ a snake wrapped around her
@Xpipian12 yeah her mom is still saying that the marriage is all lies. If we're gonna do this, tell the truth. It's been validated in court that it was real, let's stop trying to save face and be honest, let the truth be free... it's been long enough.
I don’t even call this an Aaliyah movie. More like a disrespectful parody
Wendy knew dang well she was straight up wrong for this movie smh
The Tina Turner, Selena, Ray Charles and recent Elvis Presley biopics helped elevated those artists legacies even further. Aaliyah deserves the same! 🥰😍🎧🎵🎶🎤. I would love to see a mini-series and documentary on her life, legacy and impact as well!
her family....
Wendy was just trying to dig up any kind of dirt that she could find on Aaliyah. She was mainly concerned with Aaliyah's relationship with R. Kelly. She wanted the tea on that. Wendy didn't care about Aaliyah's music and legacy.
Her family won’t most likely approve another biopic even if it’s done right.. honestly it’s just so hard for someone like Aaliyah to be replicated for a movie role. She’s just one of a kind
The best part of this movie was black twitter dragging it that was hilarious 😂😂😂
HILARIOUS ‼
I was there live when all that was happening. Same thing happened with drumline 2
Ikr the brandy and Alicia memes took me outn
@@mg682 that was awful 🤣
@@theofficialVEVOformu lmao 🤣
Aaliyah deserves bigger and better period!!!!
One major obstacle about making an Aaliyah biopic is finding someone as beautiful and charismatic as Aaliyah was. And someone who CAN both act and dance.
That's the challenge ‼
I personally think Zendaya should play Aaliyah.. yeah she’s a mixed race but tbh she’s the only person I can think of who can actually pull it off! She can sing, dance, & act! She also has Aaliyah’s body type which was skinny petite.. We have to also remember Angela Bassett and Lil Mama didn’t look nothing like Tina Turner and Left Eye and they played that role!!! Once Zendaya dresses up in Aaliyah’s clothes, plus makeup she can definitely pull it off! And Zendaya loves Aaliyah so I know she will absolutely make sure she kills it!! 🤷🏽♀️😘
@@cinnamonshasha9525 yes indeed you're right : same body type, she can act and she is also a very charismatic woman.
@@cinnamonshasha9525 z cant act she plays every role the same and does not look like aaliyah
@@bellanoche8990 while I don’t think she should be casted as Aaliyah, saying Zendaya can’t act is wild.
Lol Tony, “Nigerian R Kelly “ took me out! 😂
😭😭😭
LMFAOOOO 😂😂😂
😂 Was the actor Nigerian?
Thank you Tony for this video. Thanks for calling her "Fake Aaliyah" in the entire video 🤣🤣🤣 and "Nigerian R.Kelly" was hilarious too.
But seriously, this movie is an insult to Aaliyah's memory. That actress looks like Jhené Aiko and she wasn't able to portrayed our baby girl. Aaliyah was a very mysterious person, kind of shy and charismatic. In this movie she was transparent and boring. It's not about her music, her acting, her friendships or anything like that. It was about that controversy.
Aaliyah deserves an Hollywood movie or at least, a TV show on Netflix exactly like they did with Selena.
I really hope that one day, it will be possible.
Thank you again 🙏🏾
The way you kept saying fake Aaliyah 😂😂😂😂😂😂
😅😅😅😅
And no shade but, I’ve always cringed whenever the actress Alexandra Shipp is on the screen.…because of her portrayal. It’s no fault of her own, she was simply playing the cards she was dealt. I also remembered reading about a young lady named Zendaya pulling out of the script because Aaliyah’s family didn’t authorize this (smart move). Thanks for posting !!
Zendaya pulled out because the fans attacked her then she came out with she read the script and decided not to do it...I remember that like it was yesterday...I used to really like her and root for her back then...the fans were dragging her...
“What’s going on , y’all are going to jail” 😭😭😭
I lost it at Jhene Aiko?! 😂 I’m happy you bashed this ghetto ‘biopic’ with a dose of balanced humour to reduce the cringe. I only watched it once and I don’t know how I got to the end. All the way through I was internally screaming
🥴‼😭
I must’ve missed the Jhene Aiko comment !! I need to know what was said ?! 🤣
“Nigerian R” Kelly took me all the way out
😂😂😂💯
The fact the mom pronounced her name "ugh-liyah"... smh
Terrible ‼
It’s the fact that they still had R Kelly in the movie in 2001 im like by the end of 95 she moved on they was dragging the hell out of the R Kelly Situation. But overall the movie was horrible we need another biopic to release in theaters.
We Definitely Do‼
Wendy was wrong for this. 1. I will never watch a biopic, especially if the family didn’t give consent to do it. 2. I will never watch a biopic aired on LIFETIME……period.
Literally had to come back and rewatch the video so happy that a TRUE Aaliyah fan is still talking about this disgusting movie even after 8 years later. She truly deserves a amazing biopic but this time her family needs to be involved despite whatever drama is behind the scenes I hope that they can put it aside and give her fans what they always want ❤️❤️
I agree her family, friends and colleagues need to be hands-on and involve with a well done documentary, biopic and mini-series on her life, legacy and impact.
@@clarissawestbrook2203 YESSS indeed it needs to happen❤️❤️
@@piscesiuv655 It does and when it happens I'll be supporting it! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Nigerian R.Kelly 🤣🤣🤣😭😩💀
😅😅😅😅
I remember at the start of the rumours and discussions for a Aaliyah movie.
Keisha Chante my personal pick was casted but when she heard the family was very much so against the movie she stepped away from the production.
The second casting was Zendaya and the fans were like no.
Due to the blacklash, issue with production and family again not wanting to be involved with the project she pull out of the role publicly with a letter.
Then Wendy fast Williams who was reporting all the gossip with this bio pic decided to get in on some quick cash for the project and we ended up with this hot mess bio disgrace.
This is the movie Zendaya was going to be a part of...they recasted it to this chick when she pulled out...
And look at Wendall Willam’s smh
They were so lazy with everything from the script, the acting, and the costumes like wtf? Aaliyah would NEVER smh. But it's not surprising Wendy Williams helped make this because she's all about gossip. Why as a fan would you want to make a movie centered around her alleged relationships instead of about her talent and career.... like??
This enraged me back then lol like the audacity... Everything was just wrong, corny & upsetting. & Since Rashad is a director, I'd love to see him direct a proper biopic or documentary.
‼‼‼
Omg this is the best review lol
You need to do more movie reviews lol.the Nigerian R Kelly and “fake” characters killed me😂😂 also omg the actors and performance scenes was just cringe!
I feel like people close to her or in the industry are scared or hurt to touch on aspects of her life but I feel she can have a biopic without discussing her personal life.
Her music, her fashion, her aura, her influence, and her legacy is worth to be talked about.
😅‼
Rest in Heavenly Paradise Queen 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
why does Rashads actor look like Drake😂
From his Degrassi days 😅
I was SO upset by this movie as a huge Aaliyah fan. Like you said, 75% of the movie was spent on her love life. But one the most egregious issues for me was how they played the relationship with R. That was NOT how it went. Dame even said the only thing she ever said was he was a bad guy. The fact that Aaliyah said "I want Timbaland and Missy to produce my album". No. She didn't ask for them. R. Kelly's inappropriate relationship with her and the fallout from it nearly ruined her career. That girl was demonized until Tim and Missy reached out and said they would produce her second album. And that was on the Wikipedia page. No watching of any other documentaries was needed. Just a basic search.
I mean please, the actress doesn't even look like Aaliyah in the first place. Aaliyah was a black woman not biracial lol.
Forreal she looked like Jhene Aiko 😅
aaliyah was mixed though
I mean the fact they could've made this biopic 1000x better if THE FAMILY WAS INVOLVED and they took out the romanticization of the predator -artist arc completely
This biopic made me mad . If we get another biopic I hope and pray her family participates and not some characters that didn’t know her for real to be in it . I want it to be the way Aaliyah would want it not what the industry wants it to be
Exactly ‼
i been saying they need to do a mini-series
and I would love it from everyone else's perspective. like we are all witness to everyone else telling her story, like GIA.
They skipped so much about Aaliyah life. She was in high school when she got signed. An Aaliyah got blacked after her first album. Because the R.Kelly situation. Timberland and missy was unknown producers. Because no one else didn’t want with her except her Jermaine Dupri
Alexandria Shipp should've been blacklisted after this movie. She was one of the worst actresses to portray Storm and she's a horrible actress with a horrible attitude off camera (her mother is a Karen so it makes sense).
thank you!!!!
Big facts..everytime I see her on anything I turn it
And the actress they chose for Aaliyah looks more like Alicia Keys than Aaliyah to me. They should've casted someone better too. This movie really garbage.
😂😂 yo I’m so happy you did this video. I actually never watched this… bc I never wanted to subject myself to this trash lol
They skipped so much about Aaliyah. She was in high school when she got signed.
😅😅😅😅😅
I watched it by some random Facebook bootleg link online, because I knew it was gonna be a hot mess and didn’t want to give them views.
The comment section had me cracking up throughout the whole movie.
I blacked out the movie because I thought the movie was horrible and so inaccurate. I wish that someone would make a biopic about her.
I'm so glad ur talking about this fake Aaliyah movie on lifetime it was trash. I remember watching it for the first time 8 years ago with my mom. I was pissed off yelling at the tv like wtf this is not Aaliyah. The girl who played aaliyah didn't give me no Aaliyah vibes at all all they were talking about was her relationship with R kelly and aaliyah was such a private person who never talked about who she was dating or nothing it was her personal life she wanted to keep to herself. My mom was also upset because my mom was a big r.kelly fan and she said the guy who played r.kelly looked like the r&b singer Joe 😅 this movie was terrible wendy Williams didnt care about how Aaliyah's family or her fans she just wanted a check! Aaliyah deserve way better a mini series on Netflix like Selena or a better biopic movie on the big screen.
THIS!!! she definitely deserves a Netflix series
As an Aaliyah fan, I couldn’t watch it too many inaccuracies , just sad!
I was really young, and it’s a blurry memory, but I remember seeing the trailer to this movie on tv. I also don’t remember watching the whole movie. Now that I’m older, being a fan of Aaliyah, and watching your commentary about this movie, I realize that they really didn’t care about Aaliyah and her legacy when they put this movie together. Everything about it is just disgraceful, even down to the characters pronouncing her name wrong is just horrible. You really don’t feel an ounce of Aaliyah when watching this movie. Disrespectful on so many levels. I hope we get a proper, genuine, and well thought out documentary about Aaliyah, her life and achievements. She deserves it. ❤️
You set the oven temp just right!! Agree💯💯 this was hot trash and garbage. She deserved better. Wendy was being her usual messy self. She had no intent of telling Aaliyah's story. When you said Timbaland boots 👢 👢I was done😂😂😂
😅‼🙌🏾
This movie is so much worse than I could have even imagined it being.
Fake little Aaliyah and Nigerian Kelly 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I absolutely will protest for a well done documentary or mini series where her family Mom and Brother get behind…..
What’s messed up too about the casting is Aaliyah was an excellent actress. Very weird how ppl treat her as a person let alone a legacy. Something about her reminds me of Princess Diana nothing but vultures circling her 😢
As horrible as it was, your commentary was cracking me up. "Nigerian R. kelly... he looks Brazilian." But seriously, that movie was absolutely atrocious.
😅😅😅
ZAMN!! That was 8 years ago???!! I still haven’t finished it … I just couldn’t . So thanks for this. I literally cut the movie off at the “pillow fight” scene .
😅😅😅
I could barely watch the commentary of this because how pissed I am of this movie. They did her dirty it’s so sad. We need another better version of this movie
ASAP ‼
Omg WHO are these people supposed to be!!?.. Nobody looks like any body 😂😂

Long legged Dame yelling at people prob the only thing they got right in this whole movie 🤦🏽♀️
Im so glad I never watched this travesty, but your roasting it made my day 😂😂 Your edits were perfect
😭😭😭😭😭‼‼‼‼
The whole movie was a joke. It focused way to much on r Kelly. Also they went against the Haughton family wishes. BUT THE CASTING sheesh. Also the romanticism. I get heated thinking about this movie. 😬
You are hilarious Tony! 😂😂😂😂. A future Aaliyah biopic should be just as good as other music biopics like the Tina Turner biopic, the Ray Charles biopic and the recent Elvis Presley biopic. It should also be released in theaters. They need all the rights to her music, her family, friends and colleagues need to be involved, the right young woman who looks similar to Aaliyah and embodies her had to give a phenomenal performance, it has to be well written, the right production, direction, be historically accurate and give fans some facts about Aaliyah that aren't as well known. It has to be at least a 3 hour long movie to to capture the whole breathe and depth of Aaliyah's life, legacy and impact.🥰🥰😍😍🎧🎵🎶🎤
Agreed ‼😅👏🏿
@@TonyTurnerI hope Aaliyah gets a well done documentary on her life, legacy and impact on a streaming services and a well done biopic on her life, legacy and impact in theaters in the near future. Aaliyah deserves bigger and better! 🥰😍🎧🎵🎶🎤
I hope a much better biopic or documentary of Aaliyah comes out this year!
Me too ‼🤞🏾
Thank you for this because there was no way I was watching this shit. Seeing Missy and Timbaland really conched it for me because they got the most random people that they could find to play these characters.
The movie was highly disappointing smh 🤦🏽♀️. That’s usually the case with lifetime making autobiography’s.

Goddamn... I'm SO glad I never wasted my time watching this movie! The way you describe everything in this video makes the whole thing look so infuriating! No respect to Aaliyah, her music or her legacy, all it did was exploit her to scrounge for cash! Absolutely shameful! This roast video is perfect, Tony! Hopefully at some point we'll get an Aaliyah movie, series or documentary that shows genuine love and respect to Aaliyah and her legendary legacy and highlights the things we SHOULD be talking about! That is what Aaliyah deserves, has deserved and always will deserve! 🖤🖤🖤

Makes me upset how they kept dragging the R Kelly situation like Aaliyah was desperate for him or something still 5 years later. We didn’t even get to see much of her career at all, she definitely deserves a Netflix series
Honestly the worst movie ive ever seen.
It's definitely one of the worst movies ever! Aaliyah deserves bigger and better! 🥰🥳🎧🎵🎶🎤
I love your work of aaliyah . You did amazing. I can see you helping with producing or directing her actual autobiography one day. Thanks for taking your time .
Thank You so much ‼
I was very disappointed when I first seen the movie when it came out and then I watched it again as an adult and realized that it wasn't worth watching to begin with from the actors, music and everything as a whole I agree that we defiantly need a mini-series about Aaliyah and her career as a whole. Wendy Williams didn't even know Aaliyah and you can tell that this movie didn't tell the real story about Aaliyah
They need to let me play Aaliyah in a proper biopic

I liked how they had Aaliyah in all white at the end....It had me emotional, because 106 and Park was her last interview and she wore all white...It's still weird to me...She also wore all white in her last videos...More Than A Woman ...and Rock The Boat.
Yeah that last scene when she's wearing white was one of the best ones

I can't get over the fact that Aaliyah was a dance major in high school and this is what they came up with...come on man...🤣🤣🤣

Yes she definitely needs a biopic asap. She is really more than a woman.
that robotic singing is what I couldn't handle.
This movie is so middle school memories, middle school was nostalgic and traumatic for me
I died laughing at this entire thing...This commentary is just as good as what Tboz said about this mess...They put her in baggy clothes and bandandas on her, and we are like, "oh yes this is Aaliyah"...her running away when Nigerian r kelly gets married looks like when Syd in scary movie ran away...
I'm glad I never saw this film
I knew it was going to be a disaster, and your video just confirmed it.

They wanted everyone to forget her and the energy she brought. 😢 All of the big stars today are posers. 🙄😒 Not real talent. 😏
The Monique clip is 💯💯💯💯😅. Look at this s***. I watched it once and was so embarrassed at this attempt of a biopic. Very disrespectful to Aaliyah and her legacy.

A real Aaliyah movie should've had Lisa Tucker or my girl Sabi they're both singers and look similar to Aaliyah.
yes!!
Honestly, i don’t think her family will ever release a biopic because her mom and Barry are not on speaking terms. Barry owns the music and her family (mom/brother) owns her likeness.
That's why I was thinking more about a well made documentary. But both parties would have to be involved for it to make sense
I saw it and I was furious. It was horrible.
Throw it all away the actors wardrobe Wendy and co. just trash the whole thing. 😂. In all seriousness I never watched it, and had you not made a video about it, it would've remained a forgotten travesty.

You didn't miss anything....the movie wasn't great...I give it a C- for effort.
They didn't capture why I fell in love with Aaliyah...I thought she was mysterious and cutting edge...there was nothing hard hitting about it.
It was terrible they romanticized rkelly n liyah relationship i was like 13/14 when this came out and knew it was wildly inaccurate
The movie was trash & should ever been made non of the people looked like each other I got on for days
Thank you for this Tony, your videos are amazing, and I know you takes your time, to create your videos, I was so disssapointed in this movie, the girl was beautiful, but she didn't have that Aaliyah essence at all, she didn't do Aaliyah no justice---- this movie was a big NO! for me, I hope one day they will do a real biopic for our girl Aaliyah, keep up the great videos............
a mini series would be far more befitting Tony, I agree!
