Purples are my favorite and my Viseart Amethyst palette is possibly the best purple shadows I've tried. I'm curious about the Smashbox trios as they seem expensive for what you get. Also, the purple one doesn't look like there is a matte so you wouldn't be able to get a complete look. Looking forward to your thoughts and sorry for the length!!
emilynoel83 Yay! I zoomed down to the description box the second I saw your eyeshadow and added that palette to my Sephora basket. The black liner actually makes your eyes look bigger and those purples are absolutely gorgeous on you!

Yikes I personally do not think those lipsticks are worth that price. Maybe the red and pumpkin spice but the rest of them dont look pigmented enough. Thank you for swatching them all and giving such a thought out review!

I actually LOVE the olive green. I bought it along with the blue as soon as they came out online because I was so excited about it and they seemed like very unique shades. (But I do love a more "out-there" lipstick.) I also don't consider myself "pretty" whatsoever, but makeup isn't about that to me. It's about having fun. And green lipstick is definitely fun.

Talking about how the lighting in the studio would effect the way your makeup looked while your hair was in rollers. Emily, I've never commented on your videos, but had to today to tell you how good the brown and taupe lipsticks looked on you. I always love whenever you wear any brownish lips, I have very similar coloring to you and they are my favorites to wear. But I have been wanting to comment ever since you had Eve. I was so impressed that you kept posting just as consistently and putting just as much work into the content of every single video you make. Nobody on youtube is more dedicated, thorough and trustworthy than you and you speak in such an intelligent, articulate way. I so appreciate you and the hard work you put into your channel daily. By the way, these lipsticks look awesome. I wish I could try them. L'Oreal Lipsticks used to be my favorite, but I'm cruelty free now. And I actually love the way they smell, they remind of old fashioned lipsticks.

LOVE the eye look! It isn't your typical application style, with your usual burgundy/cranberry theme. Looks stunning!
I had to return these the shades were patchy and the smell I couldn't take. What you said about the green lipstick "who thinks they are pretty enough" I wear green, yellow, blue I have confidence but most of all, I do not care what others think and there is nothing wrong with that. I was just surprised to hear you say that. If you look back at your footage of the green lipstick application, your eye color I could see the flecks of green more whereas most of the time your eye color looks brown. It looked flattering on you.
BARE I think people are getting offended by the first half of that comment and they forget the rest of it. She said if you fell the confidence and want to wear them then do! She simply doesn't feel confident in those particular shades. I don't know anyone who wears makeup that they don't feel flatters them.

I agree I was a little offput by that as someone who loves experimental lip colors. I'm sorry but I thought the whole point of makeup was to be creative and have fun my bad...but i have to admit she has great reviews and I already know going into her videos that she's not an experimental kind of person so I guess I'll be letting it slide 😂
This is old but I'm going to repeat what someone else already said she wasn't saying anything bad about anyone who wears bold colors like green. She was just saying most people aren't confident enough in the way those colors look on them to wear them. Poor choice of words maybe but she did say if you feel you look good in them have at it. I truly don't believe she in anyway meant to offend anyone. There isn't a mean, judgmental bone in Emily's body. At least in my opinion.

Honestly haven't gotten far in the video yet, but I had to comment that your eyes look so completely beautiful! I have hazel eyes and I am inspired because I haven't found a color scheme that makes one's eye so truly HAZEL. They always end up more brown or more green (both of which I love, don't get me wrong), but man Emily, kudos on that stellar look!

I liked confession and confidence from the black line of this collection. I would pay the money on these shades. My third fav was the Pumpkin spice shade in the green line of this collection. Emily you made every shade look nice.

Wow..... I think L’Oréal really dropped the ball with this one.... I’m feeling very disappointed - not disappointed in the review, but disappointed in this line. The shade selection leaves much to be desired, the formulas are questionable at best & the prices are not justifiable in my opinion. There is only ONE shade that I actually like, These shades didn’t do anything good for Emily’s neutral skin tone - that is unusual because with a neutral skin tone, you can wear darn near anything. I feel like these would probably look really nice on very deep/dark skin tones. Perhaps this is where L’Oréal was going with this?? I’ve never seen a line quite like this before but for some reason I don’t foresee it selling very well. But huge thanks to Emily for her time and efforts with this! Much love as always 💚💜

I bought Confession a few weeks ago when these first became available on Ulta's website. I like the color, but the fragrance of the L'Oreál lipsticks is so strong and off-putting. 🙊 I forgot just how much they smelled like old lady perfumes! I wish L'Oreál would do away with the fragrance. It's so strong, I feel like I can taste it when wearing the lipstick.
I thought the idea behind this collaboration was unique, and I was excited to see what Balmain came up with. But overall I feel like the collection is a letdown. There's nothing super exciting about the color range, and the packaging is just so-so. Considering that L'Oreál nearly doubled the price of the lipstick, I was expecting the packaging to be more luxurious. Balmain is known for its luxe designs and celebrity clientele. I thought the packaging would be edgier and also more sturdy. And the namesake Balmain lippie is an olive green with gold glitter?! Really? 🤔 Just not at all what I was hoping to see. 👎

Exactly Lorraine & as I stated before, I do wonder if that’s where they were going with this line because I just don’t see this being very flattering on those who weren’t a deep/dark skin tone. This line might actually be amazing on them! 😊

So envious that you have all 12!! I purchased 2 of these (Confession and Liberation) when they were released earlier in the year and had to order them from Harold’s in New York! I wasn’t aware that they were releasing the whole line this year. Will be surfing Ulta!
The problem I have is the scent of the lipstick. Some of these colors are really nice, and I would pay the 13.99 for them but I just cant get past the smell.

Singingmae I feel the same way. I really like that peach color and the burnt red, but the smell of L'Oréal's classic lipsticks make me nauseous. I like the concept of the line, but knowing they have the typical scent makes them a pass for me.
