  • The second video in a new series with Phil Easi having a garden side chat in the snow. This episode Phil discusses seeds, what to pick, how to plan, where to source. Things to think about and do in the middle of winter when there are not too many options outside.

You're absolutely right Phil. Do NOT go by the description. I've done that too many times. And, at the end of the season I'm scratching my head and saying "that's NOT how it was described"....LOL
Also, sometimes the pictures are way different than what one ends up with. :(
Thank you. I love your short garden side chats.
    The snow is beautiful!

Hi Vicki, thank you so much for the kind words. Your are totally right sometimes the seeds packs dont even have a picture of the right plant, they use a generic photo and put it on multiple varities, I notice this a lot with pepper and tomoatoe seeds lol. I too would have that moment where the plant turns out way different than described and I am left scratching my head thinking I am doing something wrong!
Thanks again for the comments it gives me more motivation to put more and more of these out.

No problem, thanks for watching. Super exciting to be growing for the first time. Sounds like you are ready!! Fingers crossed is part of gardening lol a little bit of skill, a little bit of luck and a whole lot of rewarding work! Depending on the seeds you are planting I would start planning the planting dates as some will need to go in before others. Thanks again for watching and the comment! Happy growing!

@@EasyGardenHacks lol there will certainly be alot of fingers crossed haha... You're welcome 😊 Good idea with planning dates, I should look at how much space I need and heights of plants too, so I know what is going to the back or front. I don't have alot of space, and I've converted a disused chest of drawers for a raised bed, which is already filled with soil, toying between carrots or potatoes in there. I have petroleum jelly for the outside of box, I've tried and tested it to keep the slugs out and it works!
