- This video guide showing how to recalibrate the chronograph function is suitable for modern quartz chronographs with the 1/10 second subdial at the 6 o'clock position
For watches with the 1/10th second subdial at the 2 o'clock position the method is different to this. - Jak na to + styl
Many thanks from someone who's still in the wind up spring driven era and is occasionally asked to help out a friend.
Great video and saved me a trip to the Tag Heur dealer.
Very good video. I believe it helped a lot of people who had this problem, which happens from time to time to everyone who has a Quartz movement. Great job and thanks
Thanks for this vid I was thinking that my watch is broken.. Glad I was able to find this
Thank you, you made my day. My chronograph was a little different to reset but thanks to you I figured it out.
Awesome thanks - just tried this for my Indy 500. Works a treat! Cheers.
Is so easy to do once somebody shows you how. I had two watches that came from a factory in that condition and I thought I was going to have to pay a watchmaker or Jeweler to straighten it out. So this video probably save me a bunch of money. Thanks!
Greetings from the USA. I have a Christian Van Sant Chrono, which I love, but lost the instructions on how to reset the chrono. Your video FINALLY help me figure out the proper sequence to reset the watch. Excellent!
Thanks mate short and straight to the point

Hi , thanks to you i was able to fix the stopwatch seconds hand which was misaligned and reseted to 5 seconds after 00 seconds, for me i started the watch and alligned the second hand to its proper position, then i stopped the stopwatch, i pulled the stem out, presed button a and b for 2 seconds and pushed the stem back in , and then i just tested it out and it works like a charm, my watch is the omega moonswatch quartz

Excellent video! Do You know how to calibrate a Tag heuer CA 1212? Thanks!
Life saver
I have an accurist automatic I can calibrate the second hand but not the sub dial any ideas?
Thx :)
does this apply to all tag chronos?
What if one of the subdials is unresponsive?
I dont know if my tag heuer needs to change battery or what but when you pres the a buttom to start the meter wont move just tiking kn place. And of you try to reaset same thing happens. But if you press both down only the minute timer is moving and ypu can only change the posittion of that? Tryed everything
Looks like the movement is broken and will need a replacement unfortunately.
Can you please tell me what model Tag that is ?? I can only get the black Bezel type.
This worked on my Tag SE/L, but I have a Tag Formula 1. If you pull the crown out all the way, nothing happens with the double buttons. You have to unscrew it and only pull it out one click. Then the double button trick works. The top button then moves the small upper 1/10 second dial, then the bottom button moves the large second hand. But I can't get the upper left subdial (minutes) to move. It won't work in any crown position.....any tips, please? Thanks.
Pull the crown out two times (all the way) and then do the double button trick. That should get the minute dial spinning non-stop then use the upper button to dial it to 30 min position.
Such a helpful video. Thank you so much! i was able to adjust my Tag Heuer CAH1012 EEK3742. i will definitely subscribe.
Just wondering which movement this has. Make and cal would be great.
I believe it is Ronda quartz movement but which cal is exactly i am not sure
allnighter2011 cheers mate. I miss the eta movements thought.
@@johnwatkins3824 I have the same one in the video (just different color) and its pretty reliable. I use it as my daily driver for the past 5 years.. most comfortable bracelet i have ever tried... very rugged and reliable workhorse... accurate time... had to change the battery only once after 4 years of use... i did some reading back then and I believe Swiss ETA and Swiss Ronda are comparable in reliability and time keeping for the quartz movement... also if I recall correctly some Tag models do have ETA... the real comment I always hear isn't on the ETA vs Ronda, but rather why would anyone spend close to $2,000 on a quartz rather than mechanical... and in many ways that's true.. although I do appreciate Tag's workmanship and finish, flawless.
allnighter2011 in most cases people opt for the quartz for various reasons. They always keep better time but the greatest problem is any kind of shock or drop can seriously damage it. I had 1 gentleman who had his automatic serviced. He was back 8 weeks later and the watch had a few issues. Upon repairing and returning his watch I asked if he played tennis or golf while wearing in an attempt to figure out what was causing the problem. Finally I asked “what do you do for a living?” To which he responded “bugger all I just sit in a truck for 12-15hrs a day”. Then it became clear what was causing the problem. I found out that he keeps his hand on the gear stick the whole time. Location is Australia so the gear stick is on the left shaking the crap out of his watch for 12-15hrs a day. I personally prefer mechanical watches. However when customers ask me what is the best watch I can get? My answer is always the same. Buy the one that serves your needs the best based upon how you are going to use it. No point in buying a sea dweller if all your going to do is walk around the golf course. Although I’m sure there are many individuals that do.
Do you have a video for tag heuer automatic?
This can't be done for automatic mechanical watches, if the chronograph hands are misaligned it needs to be repaired by a watchmaker
That was easy.
Hello , I have this watch and unfortunately the rotating bezel came out and dropped somewhere. please can you guide me from where i can buy new bezel and get it fixed. thankyou
Abbas Shabbir dude you can't buy it , you have to send the watch to Tag
I just sent my Seiko in after I replaced the battery I thought I screwed it up ? I thought I busted it .Wow I had no idea
Mine is not doing it after I do all that when reset its not going bk to to 12
1/10th of a second chronograph on the bottom will sweep only for the 1st 30 seconds? Why is this happening?
Wats the model of this watch mate? Is it CAZ101K.BA0842?
CAU1112.BA0858
i have an auto chrono calibre 16 and i cant get my push buttons to work... is there anything i can do other than take it to the workshop? ive tried everything...
For automatic watches you can't re-calibrate them yourself. It would need to go to a watch service center to determine the broken parts
Simon Fu the watch doesnt seem to have any broken part the movement is visible from the back and nothing seems to be broken or outta place
why do u say there must be a broken part?
Michael Madsen if you push the button and nothing happens then it's definitely broken parts. Take it to a watchmaker to open it up and look
Simon Fu how come i see the mechanism through the back and nothing looks outta place plus the watch did not receive any shock
Works just fine with swiss military HANOWA
Thank you very much, the instructions provided in thE watch manual are not correct.
didnt work on ISA 8172
Thanks for this. Twice this has happened. The instructions it came with r worse than useless.
Dose not work for me
But even after corrected the hands aren’t lined up, the ma8 hand is off to the left of the 12 position. Looks rubbish.
Why would anyone buy a "Quartz" Swiss Watch?
Thank you!
Thanks a lot!
Thank you!!!!!
Thank you!
