I just bought a fake Tag formula 1 gulf edition. Once I got the watch, I noticed there was a slight difference in the picture the seller used. After some research and showing the watch to Tag. I confirmed it was fake. It was a much better fake than this one. I went out and bought a real one and side by side there was a big difference. Also the fonts on the warranty cards were different and even the box was different with the fake having a lower quality box. I'm in the process of returning it but will seemingly get my money back.
You said at the end of the video that "if your Tag doesn't have a serial, it is 'most likely' a fake." If a Tag doesn't have a serial at the back, it doesn't mean it is "NOT ALWAYS FAKE"? I have a TH that I want to check but I cant see the SN. How to find it?
Awesome video. Wow, stellar details shared clearly. Where is the best visual database of tag watches? I can't find anywhere exactly. Serial checks out though with warranty number preset.
Thanks for the support. By visual database do you mean one with actual photos? If so, there’s not really an official visual database. It’s more so just pictures online from sellers. But the best way to check a watch is in person, however this makes it hard to compare with a fake.
Funny when u change battery for tag heuer quartz watch it cost $40 But a tag heuer fake watch cost $10 Why I say it's funny is b'coz it's the same watch battery on both watches.
I got a brand new F1 Tag with the metal strap off Amazon for £760. List price in UK £1500. Checked the serial number and all good, except warranty date was a year old, but had a year left. Took the back off and 100% Tag. So there are bargains to be had, but pleeeeeeease be careful ❤
Interesting that they can make parts etc. that mimic, albeit, poorly yet if they wanted to they probably could match it more closely. Are they “slap dashing” them deliberately?
A very interesting point. There are super clones out there that are near identical. But for the low prices that these copies get sold at they, it forces the manufacturer to still use cheaper materials and keep production costs low. Hence why you still wont get the same quality and finish as you would from the official manufacturer. On the outside they may look identical, but on the inside they are far from it.
I was told, even if it's legit, it could still not show up on the serial number finder. Like if it was a gray market watch for example. Any truth to this?
That is true. Sometimes even TAGs that are purchased from authorised dealers may not appear if the authorised dealer has not registered the watch on the system.
On the fake the wrong subdial is marking running seconds. That would be a dead giveaway lol. Buy new from an AD. Stop worrying about resale. Wear it Enjoy it Keep it. Stop thinking like a greedy bs collector.
It’s funny. I looked up hidden features of my F1 tag to see if there were some quirks I didn’t know about. And of course there was, but someone how I ended up here. Gotta love the CZcams algorithm. If I ever buy used, or from a private seller now I know to double check the registration. Didn’t even think about that even though I register em any time I get a new one.

@@MrCppearce3 Oh your a clever fecker aren't you. My phone often auto corrects and produces smelling pistakes. I bought myself a nice genuine Tag Heuer F1 limited addition watch, but now thinking that tossers like you are into Tag watches, I need to be rid of it as soon as possible.
I have a 16 caliber Heuer Carrera tag, there are real ones and there are fake ones, the real ones I use for family events and weddings, the fake ones I use for daily work, I think the real ones are very good compared to the fake ones even though the fake ones are similar , however, many parts are less precise, if you are not careful, it could be that the fake one is mistaken for the original one. and in terms of price, there is a huge difference, there is a saying that there is money and goods.
You’re bang on there about the aquaracers, they seem to be in a different league. Seen some very convincing aquaracers going around, even ones with stolen serial numbers on the back. Hate seeing good working people getting scammed.

I just bought an aquaracer with matching papers and an active warranty that match on tags website and people said it was still fake i sent it to tag to see if its real.
Hard to imagine a Superclone for Tag Heuer. Why unless it is at the very top of their offerings? A standard Chrono Super clone makes me laugh a bit. Tags are rather cheap considering tbeir say Aquaracer Auto Chrono is only around $3000.00 or so. And the 2 watches you have there are both quartz watches which in my opinion might as well be both fakes. Why does anyone invest in Swiss made quartz watches to begin with? Sorry when I think Suiss I think automatic only.
You can easily spot the fake watch here. You don't need to even look twice... There are a lot more clones out there that are way more accurate made. Please do a video of a superclone where you truly have to look for the imperfections.
Right. I got some perfect copy here since i cannot afford the real ones. Why buy the expensive and original if you can get a perfect copy which the only difference is the words “original” and “copy” ☺️

We can get a super clone done review done :) this fake wasn’t such a great example, but you’d be surprised at how many people still fall for this. Especially newbie collectors. Just trying to provide a bit of help.

If you can't buy a real one at one moment in time, you save a bit longer, or if it's the design you like you can always look for a similar design in the more affordable range of watches. Buying fake knowingly is supporting it.

I just came to buy a second-hand Formula 1 CAZ1014 Chronograph blue Dial Quartz on Bay, imported from Japan and received it today. I was skeptical about its authenticity because I thought the second hand of a watch at this price would turn without any jerk, with a sliding and fluid movement (I'm new to this), which is generally the case with mid- and high-end watches. I checked all the details mentioned in your video point by point. It appears I'm in possession of a genuine TAG Heuer. I'll still push my research a little further for the good of my nerves. But your video gave me back the smile I had lost by ignoring the details of the movement of the seconds. What a relief, in any case, to have discovered your video.
