Don't know about you guys but I've always loved TAG no matter what others say!
Word, there are a lot of haters out there. I, on the other hand, love the brand b/c playing competitive sports and sporting a Carrera 02 or Vintage F1 Chrono has always made a connection with me, yet a lot of watch enthusiasts have never hit the gym or played a sport -- so they do not carry a connection to a sports watch brand.
Same! My formula 1 professional white dial is still my go to daily watch

100%… I’ve had and loved my Link Day/Date Calibre 16 since 2010 and it’s been an absolute tank, not to mention one of the best looking men’s chronos ever!
And some folks still buy Fords and GM products, even though they are trash, and far better brands are available.
Tag Heuer is an incredible brand that needs attention and care to make it strong again. They have done many good things the last ten years, but more work should be done.
I love my Tag Heuer Carrera, the only critic i listen to is myself.
I have owned the Carrera Caliber 16 for 12 years now. It looks great, works great and feels great. Would not move to another brand ever.
Just replaced a bezel on that watch that has been with me for over 20 years. Used as a 'daily driver' until recently when bought a PAM GMT.

I attended my first F1 Grand Prix with my dad in 1968. Since then, the Heuer Autavia was my grail watch. Two years ago, for my 60th birthday, my wife bought me the Jack Heuer 85th Anniversary Limited Edition Autavia. I’ve had to wait a lifetime, but I simply cannot be happier. I also have an old TAG 2000 quartz chrono which has been on my wrist for 22 years and works faultlessly to this day, despite looking the worse for wear. The only other watch that I still would like to own at some point is the gorgeous Aquaracer Professional 300 Night Diver, if I can ever find and afford one. I love the brand and prefer to turn a blind eye to their many mistakes.
I’m happy for you! Brands go through ups and downs, so it doesn’t matter. What’s important is you got your grail in your fathers memory.

I treated myself to a TAG Monaco with the 02 movement. I absolutely loved it when I first laid eyes on it and I love it even more now I own one. It’s a keeper. I could’ve bought a Breitling or an Omega or even a IWC if I wished. I’m a car guy and I think the Monaco embodies the spirit of motor sport perfectly. Other car guys will know I’m a car guy just from me wearing it without me even having to say so. It’s a beautiful contemporary design and is different and in my humble opinion, a great starter watch to build a collection with even if that does include other brands. You work hard for your money, let it buy you happiness and do what makes you happy 😊
I think the hate towards Tag has been made up by youtubers for views, when ever I read the comments regarding Tag 95% of them are positive and people like Tag. I have a Tag formula 1 and its great, planning on getting a green Carrera chronograph next.
Just go straight to the Tourbillon or the new aquaracer Gold 3n. CARRERA is nice but here in my country , its a hard sell, not many would buy it. But the other models are fast gone. Monaco, F1, autavia, aquaracer. Just not the carrera i wonder why.....
Maybe carrera was hammered by other people as a poor mans Daytona, hence the avoidance.
@@Tankpacqikcao The Carrera is quite pricey these days, here in the uk the green Carrera chronograph is 5.5k new, can get a Tudor BB chronograph for 1K less
My 1st high end watch was a TAG link. Still have it and love it. Also own an Aquaracer, and I love it too. Last year, I bought my son his 1st luxury watch - F1 blue quartz. He loves it. So, there you go. I will always be a TAG Heuer fan.
A lot of people feel there over priced and not worth the money because they have read it in the Internet. Thus feel as though they have to regurgitate on line like they know what they are talking about.
Whoever says tag is not a good watch has never had one . I love my Porsche edition watch

So people don't like a TAG because the company lied in advertising 13 years ago? And they did too much advertising? What are those people valuing in a watch? They think all other watch companies don't lie? I'm not saying any of this is right or wrong, I'm just saying. I like my TAG.
Dobrze napisane..... też lubię markę Tag heuer.Czy inne marki zegarkowe nie kłamią? To jest pytanie retoryczne..... tak samo jak Omega była ze swoim moonwatchem na księżycu....... tak można wymieniać ze trzy kwadranse.Kazdej marce, nie tylko zegarkowej, zdarzają się wpadki.... jakościowe, wizerunkowe itd.Tag heuer nie jest tutaj odosobnionym wyjątkiem.... pozdrawiam serdecznie miłośników marki 😊.
I bought a Aquaracer with Quartz Movement 2 years ago. Been using it almost everyday. The watch looks awesome and being a quartz really a plus. I can easily swap to another watches and then wear it again without needing to adjust.
just bought my own aquaracer, ive always loved tag as my dad always used to wear one i think watches should mean more than what other people think of them
I've been wearing TAG Heuer watches for almost 30 years and I think they make good quality watches, that look great, with an awesome heritage, are innovative and are in fact reasonably priced, compared to e.g. Omega, which if you're looking for a divers watches or automatic chrono, are more expensive. I think TAG Heuer's current line-up, with the Formula 1, Aquaracer, Carrera, Autavia, Link, Monaco and Connected. And although I think you're video was well made, I believe it's talk like this that only adds to some people's sentiments concerning TAG Heuer. And I say some people, because many people actually like the brand. Proof? They sell tons of watches! Anyway, I think 'hating' TAG Heuer is just stupid. I mean, isn't there anything better you could do with your time and energy? Come on!
The TH hating happens mostly since 2018 LVMH management choices.

I have 3 F1 (2 quartz and 1 calibre 16). Not interested in watch snobbery, I just like the watches and the link with motorsport. I dont collect to invest, I collect to enjoy.
Only hated by watch snobs. Anyone who simply enjoys well-made, good looking watches still love Tag.
I bought a Tag Heuerr Carrera despite the reviews and a lot of hate. I like to swim against the current. I was not disappointed in the watch. I love them.
I love cars and like watches. I couldn't wear a watch that's worth more than the car I'm driving. Thus, I've owned a Carrera Heuer 01 (non-skeleton, rubber strap) since 2017. It looks great, it's accurate, reflects my passion for cars and is worth less than either of my cars. So for me there's nothing wrong with Tag Heuer 😊.
Nothing is wrong with Tag Heuer, maybe it's the watch snobs who compare every watch to a Rolex or Omega that cost 3 to 6 times the price.
I’ve liked watches for a very long time but just never wanted to become a watch person because I know how I am and I’d end up spending more money than I should. Well a Friend of mine needed some money and was selling some of his watches. Got a grand carrera caliber 17 and I love it and well now I’m spending more money than I should on watches lol
I believe buying good watches is like investing in gold.

Gold doesn’t produce anything. Fluctuates too much. At least you know you will loose money buying a watch lol
I love Tag Heuer and will definitely be buying one of their watches in the future. Heuer is a classical and innovative brand, and the image of Tag Heuer was probably affected by some poor marketing decisions back in the 90s/2000s, but today they have very nice watches. Maybe a little overpriced, but very nice.
any watch over 1k is overpriced unless its made out of precious metal lets be honest, a simple casio or gshock will always win when it comes to the true function of a watch which it telling the time specially with the radio controlled gshocks, when you spend more than 1k on a watch its because you love it or it really means something and thats why i have a tag huer my dad had one when i was a kid

As a Seiko modder, I immediately recognised the 'Thirty-Nine (39) Jewels' font on the 1887 movement as nothing less than Seiko's own.
As a Seiko fan for many years, I can say that Seiko is overrated. The mechanisms are fine, but the technical defects such as misaligned hands, dust under the glass, low-quality bracelets were endless? And I, the fool, bought over twenty watches. In the end, after wandering longines, louis errard, omega , chosen by Tag Heuer
When Breitling made a new start , even they used Seiko quartz movements for some models .🤭
That's how business works. With poor marketing strategy and not well thought decisions, failures happened. Though, I never hated this particular brand of watch, I understand why people reacted that way.
I have a Formula 1 quartz and blue Carrera Chronograph H02. I love them both and rotate them with my other more expensive watches. I like the motorsport heritage where the others tend to be aviation.
It's a great brand for wearing. Not for saving in hopes of getting your money back one day.
I hate click bate posts like this. Tag is doing very well and makes amazing watches at the moment. The 02 movement is one of the best chronograph movements ever made
Can I get y’all’s opinion?
I recently purchased a pre-owned 165.806 from Chrono24, it was listed as in good condition. After I bought it, I sent it in for service to Tag, and was quoted almost 3 times what I paid for the watch.
I was expecting between 500-1000 since it was advertised as being in good working condition, but the quote is for over $1500.
I feel like I have been ripped off. Am I wrong?

My first Swiss watch was a Tag Heuer. A series 2000 chronograph bought in 1991. I still have it, unfortunately my wrists are not the same size and the spare links for the bracelet are long lost.
Get in better shape so you can wear it again
I think the basic three-hand Carrera models (date and day date) are excellent watches for the money, especially with silver and blue dials. But other models tend to suffer from a loud, tacky design language. Recent glassbox chronographs are beautiful but they are twice as expensive as the basic carreras.
I think anyone walking around with a hate on for Tag Heuer are the same people with a victim mentality. Look at Tag for what it is today, the quality, the price, the style, they are top notch. As for complaints about their marketing being all over the place, name another brand with such a wide variety of products. Tag prices start at just over $1000 and go into the $100,000, what other brand does that? Making Smart watches, sport watches, diver watches, luxury watches, they do it all, and market accordingly. Some people just have a very narrow view of what a watch is, and cannot fathom the wide spread attraction that Tag Heuer generates, and that scares them, so they talk down about them to make themselves feel better.
Honestly as an outsider, it sounds like a storm in a teacup.
I think they snafued when they ventured away from their distinctive green & red badge. To me that was their identifier. Rightly or wrongly, I'd only buy one with that motif.
My heuer 2000 is very comfortable and light weight. Very professional and feels great on my wrist. It's a big change from my g shock that I switch off with every few days.

Nothing wrong with Tag, problem is all the watch content on CZcams is run by Dealers…dealers don’t like Tag because the ADs will negotiate price, which means resale market is low. It’s all about those dollars and the Rolex hype machine!

I like Tag Heuer because it really does bring out an emotion... It's a brand that people still talk about.. People love it or hate it.... No matter what people will have something to say about it... There are so many different brands out there that people have nothing to say.. maybe some watch knobs think they're superior.. But if you're not being talked about You're really being forgotten about...
I have an 8 year old Carrera Calibre 5 it has and does run flawlessly and looks timeless, more than ever the design is closer to the original 1963 Carrera than the updated styling and I love it's striking looks
I have a 2007 chronograph Aquaracer, 300m automatic, black dial. I’m taking more care of it now, and myself 😂. Had 3 services, very dependable big block of steel on my wrist. I interchange it with my IWC MKXX now. I won’t buy another one, have my eye on a Explorer or a Speedmaster.
In my opinion they are not good looking watches and their bezels feel tinny but Omega’s feel the same. They do not have a good looking watch.
Ive been wearing Carreras for more than 13 years. I have 2 Carreras now. The only hate is the price has so much astronomically risen to be unaffordable for middle class person like me. Its used to be middle class brand but now almost as high as Omega

In the video you explain the subject very well, however I have seen a couple of watches of this brand and I think they are very good, although they are high in price
High in prices. Rolex about 1K or slightly higher to make and what do they charge? Most watches are probably around that cost. Rolex is great, but let’s be clear all watches are over priced

Someone made the comment that I think is correct the more I think of it. Drop the TAG and go back to Heuer only. And I think they should continue to develop the Heuer02 movement and develop their own non-chrono movement and drop the Sellita cal. 5 / 7. I'm unsure why they went with a Tudor movement in the Aquaracer Professional diver, but I love the watch anyway.

I like the Tag Heuer Monaco series of watches. It is something about the square face which is a harder watch to find. There is also the heritage that watch model has to Hollywood film. Tag Heuer recently reissued limited edition faces including the Gulf model.
Very clear of explanation, TAG HEUER one of great watches maker..it have amazing product like Formula One and Carrera, buy from die hard fan!
The video was fine, and the individual selections were appropriate. But I think the more sport-oriented Carreras deserved more time in your last category. The big cases might not hold up stylistically over time, but in today's watch market, they check lots of boxes for lots of folks.

I am still wearing my TAG H. Kirium since 2001. Still as beautiful as the day I bought it. I work heavy construction, and play just as hard and it has held up to the abuse! I’d buy another one, but this one is still working perfectly, so… I’ll probably retire with this one still on my wrist!

Recently noticed a group of people are smearing bad image about TAG. But honestly speaking TAG is still making watches which even attracts the eyes of non watch enthusiasts. I get appreciation for wearing TAG Heuer not less than Rolex. Really I don't get these prople want to mean. Performance, quality, design are also quite high.

Check out the Aquaracers with the quartz movements. Tough to go wrong for the money.

I own 2 Tag automatics and the 2020 connection. I love all of them. My only complaint is I dropped the connection on the floor from 3 ft and the bezel and face popped loose. I do not wear this watch for sports which is what it was designed for. I wear it to work. I called and said why did it fall apart if it was designed to be worn during outdoors activities. I was told to pay or they would ship it back not repaired. Charged me $600. I have cheap watches I've owned for over 20 years that have been worn and never had issues like this. I am very disappointed in Tag and most likely will not buy another watch.
Regardless, watches are not shock-proof if they fall it's almost always going to be bad news. You drop them so that's not going to be covered under warranty. You're responsible, if not a manufacturing defect. If you want schock proof go to the G-shock line those watches are almost indestructible.😉

The only reason why I love TAG Heuer no matter what is because of its association with motorsports, especially Formula 1
Haters will be haters, matter of fact is, it's my money I've worked for it and if I like Tag Heuer I am not going to buy a Rolex. Regardles what anyone else think's or is saying. I own a Carrera, Aquaracer and I am saving for a Autavia Chronometer Flyback
I've always liked Tag, but the price I like Longines and Tudor more.
I can tell you now the workmanship on my Carrera Calibre 5 excels that of my Submariner.
Tag fall short in there many generic movement’s.

I much prefer the look of the vintage Heuer chronographs than the endless list of supposedly ‘innovative’ watch models that TAG have sponsored since they took over Heuer nearly 40 years ago. Very few TAG watches catch my attention, they do nothing for me, even their expensive limited edition retro models lack the functional integrity, aesthetics and quality of the original Heuer Masterpieces that they’re based on, it’s almost criminal.
A great watch brand with tradition and contribution to watchmaking. The film is biased and contains mistakes, e.g.: 0:40 wrong year, mistake by 100 years! Deliberately? The basis for most mechanisms is ETA or Valjoux and after changes its treated as its own caliber. Here was Seiko...

Who cares what a herd of watch collectors do or think. Buy what you like. I like my 6 year old Tag. It still looks as clean@ sharp as the day of purchase despite being hit on walls or car doors. No scratches visible, sapphire crystal 👍.

The video says ‘1960’ but you voiceover 1860 (which is correct) - and the video of what looks to be 1860 New York looks closer to turn of the century based on a lack of horses and carriages/wagons.. Subtle points but I still think valid.
0:39 Tag heuer was founded in 1860. Appears 1960 in imagem. Sayed correctly in video.
Not sure if the connected watch actually hurts the brand more. Nobody wants a connected Swiss watch anymore than they want a quartz one. In terms of features, Apple Watch Ultra blows it out of the water. Until the Swiss become world leaders in computer technology, they should stick to the mechanical stuff.

TH is being singled out by haters. There is nothing wrong with their watches? Their Heuer 02 movement is one of the best in the world. I feel their marketing division needs to be ravamped and strategize to what is in trend now.. Back in the 90's , the late Ayrton Senna from F-1 took the brand to great heights. After he died, TAG somewhat did not shine in global marketing? They need to improve their business development model and enhance thelir dealers better
Very innovative company, I love my Monaco pity they get slated because of a market mistake however the clue in this video is that underneath the mistake was good horology. Don’t be a sheep, dig a bit and you will find some very, very good watches.

some decades ago has sense pay for a high mech precision watch from Europe...was hard to make and expensive...now even the china can make similar mech precision...copy and improve the design and the price is lower ...you don't buy watches for all life.
