The screw that holds the battery in place is so small, when tweezers accidentally catapult it in a random direction (which will happen numerous times), you will not be able to find it. It’s nearly microscopic. Literally. This is a job for a professional watch shop and nobody else.
This is the way I do it is this as I know just how fiddley that screw is and it is magnetic which someone thought would help, IMO it doesn't. After removing the old battery. 1. Put the clip in and stick it down with clear Sellotape; it will hold it flat. 2. Use tweezers or needle to punch a hole through the tape to line the holes up, press the tape down again. 3. Get a toothpick or something similar and cut it flush, stick a bit of blue tac to the end of the flush end and using your tweezers stick the screw to the blue tac. It will hold it. 4. Put the screw into the hole and turn it till it catches the threads. Gentle peel off the Sellotape be mindful that it will catch the sealing ring. 5. When the tape is removed from under the screw tighten it.
You can clip the battery holder up without unscrewing if very careful and flip out the battery that way I've done mine it's fiddly but if your not worried about the watch being resealed it will save you a fortune. The battery size on this watch is a 395 for info.
Thanks for showing how it’s done. Do you have a part number or dimensions for the caseback gasket ?I would like to replace it when I do it on my CAZ1014.
So if I was changing the battery and dropped the micro screw for the hold down where do I find a replacement? I'm having a hard time trying to source the screw. Any help would be much appreciated! Please help so I can put it back together
@@SolimBD thanks for your response and the video helped me to solve a excellent replica puzzle.. same movement..propably from alibaba...but screws were missing. and the retainer palstic ring its way to different.other than that is super hard to say if its fake or not
