Delicious Homemade Hummus Recipe | Easy and Healthy Snack Idea!

  • Welcome to Flavors of My Roots! Today, I'm excited to share with you a recipe: Hummus. This versatile and flavorful dip is a staple in many cuisines, and I can't wait to show you how to make it from scratch.
    Hummus
    2 cups cooked chick peas (I used fresh cooked chick peas, but you can use the ones in the can)
    Juice of 2 lemons
    4 cloves of roasted garlic
    1 teaspoon of cumin
    Salt to taste
    1/2 of cup tahini
    2 cups chick peas
    6 tablespoons ice water
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    For the toppings:
    Olive oil
    Smoked paprika
    Roasted pine nuts
    Parsley
    Radish
    Sea salt flakes
    How to prepare:
    Add all of the ingredients into a food processor or a blender and blend for about 3 minutes. Pour the hummus into a plate or a bowl and spread it. On top, add olive oil, smoked paprika, roasted pine nuts, parsley, radish and salt.
    My favorite way of eating hummus is with radish, carrots and bell peppers.

    Homus
    2 xĂ­caras de grĂŁo de bico cozido (usei grĂŁo de bico fresco cozido, mas vocĂȘ pode usar enlatado)
    Suco de 2 limÔes
    4 dentes de alho assado
    1 colher de chĂĄ de cominho
    Sal a gosto
    1/2 xĂ­cara de tahine
    2 xĂ­caras de grĂŁo de bico
    6 colheres de sopa de ĂĄgua gelada
    2 colheres de sopa de azeite
    Para os toppings:
    azeite de oliva
    pĂĄprica defumada
    pinhÔes torrados
    salsinha
    Rabanete
    Sal a gosto
    Como preparar:
    Adicione todos os ingredientes em um processador de alimentos ou liquidificador e bata por cerca de 3 minutos. Sirva o homus em um prato ou tigela, e espalhe bem. Por cima acrescente, azeite, påprica fumada, pinhÔes torrados, salsinha, rabanete e sal.
    Minha maneira favorita de comer homus é com rabanete, cenoura, e pimentÔes.
