This bike has an undocumented cruise control mode that is really nice. Stabilize at your desired speed by working the throttle - then press and hold the down arrow on the keypad - wait for the bicycle icon to appear where the PAS level usually appears (which means that you're in "walk mode") - when it appears, immediately let go of the throttle - then let go of the down button. The motor will now maintain the selected speed without having to manually twist the throttle. You can even peddle in this mode. You can disengage this mode by hitting either brake or twisting the throttle. This is really nice if you plan to travel for a long time by only using the throttle. It gets very fatiguing having to twist the throttle for a long period of time.
This bike is also very stable. Once you get going about 15mph, you can basically let of the handlebars and just steer by gently leaning. If you're in cruise control mode - it looks like you're riding on a self-driving bicycle.
It has front suspension and a comfortable seat with a suspension seat post. It handles bumps very well. The headlight is very strong and more than adequate for night riding.
This bike is a tank. If you're a taller/heavier person - you are going to love it. You can ride it without being hunched over all the time as if you're in the Tour de France. I'm 67 years old, 6' 2" and weigh 200lbs. I find the bike to be very comfortable and stable. It has no problems getting up steep hills. I actually have the step-thru version of the Pathfinder, but the bikes are virtually identical.
I recently purchased it directly from the Beecool website for $1,199, FREE shipping and NO TAX! It was a factory clearance sale.
It's a great bike. I strongly recommend it.
I have the green Bee Cool Adventurer and can confirm best bang for buck of any fat tire ebike, maybe any ebike. I have 450 hard miles on mine now. It is not a "cheap bike" but is very inexpensive.
How long did it take to receive your bike and do you still recommend it? Thanks.

How many times can you mention this thing is heavy and not give the weight?
It has a carrying capacity of 350lbs so it's probably 80 or so pounds.
Does your front shock feel like it bottoms out at times like it bangs down?

Thanks for the review... really enjoy your videos. Was looking at the Bee Cool Adventurer but saw the Pathfinder on sale for only a $100 more and was wondering what the difference between the two would be? I know the Adventurer has the back shock but was wondering if the components on the Pathfinder were better and that is why it is more expensive. Anyways any advice on either bike would be great. Still think I'm leaning toward the Adventurer. Ok well on to more of your videos to see if there are any other bikes I might be interested in. LOL
Basically the same except the Pathfinder has a color display, more visible blinkers and no back shock but shock seatpost. Basically just comes down to color options unless you want the step thru for accessibility.
I hate to be the negative comment. I wouldn’t call this a full review. Some music I didn’t care for but I’m sure you like, and a bunch of riding around movies.
Nothing about the speeds the shifting mechanism the shock absorbers, just brakes are they hydraulic or manual. I know this information at least some of it is listed on the website, but that isn’t practical user information. Looking to spend $500 more for this bike over another bike, review should tell me why I should or should not spend that kind of money. I’ll have to watch more of your reviews and see if this is the norm.
I did enjoy seeing the bike with a person instead of looking at the photo on the website. I just need something to help me decide to move up the food chain.
