  • A quick comparison of the Bee Cool Pathfinder and Aventon Aventure ebikes. These are similarly priced 750watt ebikes each offering a step thru frame design with integrated battery, hydraulic disc brakes, and 26x4 fat tires. There are however many differences to consider if you are trying to decide between these two bikes. In this video we take an up close look at each bike and go over all the little differences between them. I hope you find the video helpful and informative.

    I’d go with the Aventon every single time. If you ride, you’re going to want that power. The only people saying it’s not a big deal are those that haven’t experienced that difference. That true bfang motor with the higher output is what you want. I don’t like the frame design on the Be cool bike plus that derailleur and shifter are just unforgivable. The trigger shifter with the Acera is so much better. Plus, Aventon bikes have those amazing welds that just scream quality. Just my opinion.

      I'm someone that hasn't experienced the difference. Here in Australia our legal limit is 250 watt. Apparently modeled on Europe and Britain so I read. I haven't had an ebike long, and I'm happy with it. But then it's all I've experienced.

      What really killed me on the aventon is the fact that while using the throttle it automatically cuts out at 20 miles an hour and 48 volt 15-amp hour battery is just too small for the amount of power that it has and I agree with citizen cycle I don't like thumb throttle and I hate it that it's on the left I could learn to live with it if it was on the right but those are the things that killed me with the aventon

    Great video. Thanks. I'm torn between these two bikes. I like the look of the aventon, and you said it had more power. The bee though has more features. The rack, bigger battery, colorfull easy to read display. It has the twist throttle on the right, which I like. Then there's the plush seat on the bee. If you took the rack and mirrors off the aventon, which you added. I think I'm choosing the bee.

    Excellent review thank you. One detail that I think is important is that the Aventon advertises three different frame sizes. However if you go on their website and look at the actual measurements of each of those three frame sizes they are identical. The only thing that's different is the height of the seat post. I contact their customer service and ask if this was a misprint. They confirmed that there is only one frame size and that the only difference is in the seat posts. In my view this is false advertising.

    • @markg3950
      @markg3950 Před 2 lety

      Wow ! They were stupid enough to actually say that ??? Ive measured them, and there is more than just the difference of seat tube height. The distance from stem to seat post center varies too, (i.e. reach) as does the height of the top tube. You should stop lying there old fellow. Its gonna get you in trouble some day. These envious trolls here are getting old. You must work for Rad Power. Or a POS firm like Lectric.

      @DatGuy960 Před rokem

      Well, I'm picking mine up tomorrow and I van tell you there is a difference. I had the 24 and 26 side by side the 24 is shorter but is probably due to the tire size. I will compare the fork length and A-bar length to confirm. The seat post is also so.ethi g I will look at.

      I have been desperately looking for a smaller bike…I’m 5 feet tall and my husband’s Lectric 2.0 is just too massive for me and I can barely reach the handlebars when sitting on the seat. I need to know specifically if someone manufactures a smaller bike…for petite riders. They could make a fortune if they did. When they say that their bike fits adults from ‘4’11 to 6’2” I know it’s BS. I want a bike that fits 4’10” to 5’3 comfortably with all the requisite bells and whistles.

    I really liked this comparison. Both these bikes have their own unique style. Aventon looks sleek, shiny, and modern. Pathfinder looks like the coolest bike designed in 1947. Both seem very pretty to me. With bikes like these I think it could be good to just go with the one you like the looks of the best. You can always change parts like putting a twist throttle on an Aventon or a bigger amp controller on the Pathfinder but the frame will always be there.

    I have had my Aventon Aventure now for about 3 weeks and I love it. Paid $2K for it. The bee Cool Pathfinder is stiff competition at a $1.8k current price tag. Aventon has two US distribution points, S. Cali and NC. Aventon support is very responsive, my bike was ordered and rcvd, fm Cali, in a weeks time frame....drop shipped to my local bike shop for assembly. I am not knowledgeable in Bee Cool support. I like the Bee Cool larger battery for sure, but I love the power that has been exhibited in the Aventon, however, as was pointed out the Aventon has to be peddeled to get the class 3 speed out of it (A major point when trying to decide between the two bikes). If I had known this b4 buying the Aventon I may have looked at the Bee Cool Pathfinder a little harder. The Aventon is more polished in appearance, especially when looking at the weld seams. Cable management appears to be a bit cleaner on the Aventon. As pointed out in this video, the Aventon seat is adequate but not the most comfortable seat out on the market. I have just recently ordered an aftermarket seat for my Aventon. I really don't see how anybody can go wrong with either bike. The Bee Cool Pathfinder is most certainly a very COOL ebike!

    Here in NH hybrid bicycles are limited to 20 MPH
    Exceeding 20 MPH you fall under motor vehicle laws. This means license , registration and inspection.

      Another reason I left New England. Love it here in Florida and can ride an ebike all year round. No car inspection bs like MA. No yearly car tax, no state Income Tax, and we got a great governor.

      Yeah, I noticed that also, with the back half of the frame… but the Sondors has a mid-drive motor & 21ah batt & humongous 4.8” dia tires… its a beast… Ive got a Sondors Rockstar and its awesome! ✌🏻

    I owned a BeeCool before it was stolen. Customer service is non-existent. I had a battery short and overheating causing component damage. BeeCool was a nightmare to deal with by email only,.. no tech phone contact allowed. They would not replace the battery. When it went away I replaced the bike with a Wired Freedom. The thief didn’t get much in my opinion.

    bought the aventure, bad front brakes, the lock out forks dont work and with the throttle the low speed is eight miles per hour, filed a claim and so far they are avoiding me, I did get a link to a help center that said the site was brokene, very scary when aventon is the only place I can get these parts and they avoid you,

    Based on your no pedal range tests, the Pathfinder should have around 10 miles more NO PEDAL range, which would be my SOLE criteria for choosing it over the other one. As for it looking like a moped, I love mopeds. I have been riding gas powered pedal mopeds since the mid '70s, and still have 5 of them. I love them, but I want to be able to ride in bike lanes and on bike paths. But range is absolutely critical. Because I am disabled and can barely walk, if the battery went dead more than a few hundred feet from home, I would be stranded. And if it happened on a bike path where gas powered motor vehicles are not allowed, I couldn't even call someone to come and get me. So for me range is everything. None of that other stuff matters. Either bike would need a larger more comfortable seat for me. I have my own bike lights, use a flip phone that cannot be connected to anything. One really important thing that neither one of these bikes have is a centerstand. How are you supposed to fix a flat tire? No way to hold the bike up while removing a wheel.

    These two bikes are not women's bike they're made for a man or a woman and the reason why you got the step-over is good as you get older you don't want to swing your leg over the bar that's way too hard to do before the other people that just want to or step over bike like me that would be great and back in those days I used to ride a women's adult bike with that bar that goes down low that was not what that bike was for it was for that stepped Over the Bar that was easy to do and you can ride so you people learn something new just down so the step-over bike is not a girl's bike and it's Diamonds by it's made for both man or woman so in the long run it's okay to ride the step-over bike it doesn't bother me none everybody's gone think it's a woman's bike it's not it's made for a woman or a men just to let you heads up I learn that the other day on CZcams channel

    Initial response: Got this bike for my friend. czcams.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ Delivery was fast. And the friend was surprised I would order it when she had never suggested she wanted anything but the pedal bike she had. She has now ridden the bike two times and gives it a 10 and says it is very fun. We have some hills in our town that are very challenging to climb on a typical bike. But tonight she went up with the pedal assist and loved it. I was way behind on my standard bike, huffing and puffing. Now she is no longer lagging behind me. This thing is powerful enough that a person could go around town without any pedaling. She likes to get some exercise so on flat ground she hits the red button to turn off pedal assist and only uses the twist throttle when she's in a tough spot. The bike looks good. It is really a very nice bike for the friend. Now for me, when I get an electric bike, I'm twice her size and will be looking for a bigger watt motor and battery. But this one is just wonderful for my friend. I am happy with this purchase.
