      I'm not suggesting analyzing the details of micro-expressions or anything that involved. In general, people are pretty good at assessing another person's overall reactions. It's not hard to tell when someone is being emphatic, or when they are frustrated or when they are happy or when they roll their eyes and think something is unreasonable. If a person is showing a lot of frustration when they talk about what is not going well about the job they are doing, that does convey some additional level of emphasis that it really is bothering them! On the other hand, if they aren't showing any signs of being upset or frustrated at all when talking about the job they are doing, then maybe there's not enough dissatisfaction for them to be motivated to change.
