  • In this video, Alex Osterwalder- the author and inventor of the Business Model Canvas, a tool to visualise, challenge and reinvent business models - talks about his next book: Value Proposition Design.
He leads the MTPcon audience through an exercise to help identify the jobs their product should do and the gains and pains of their ideal customer. Alex explains how products can be improved by asking three simple questions and talks about the ways product developers can step into the shoes of their customers.

The music industry needs a value proposition. They tell us what to love. They do not give us what want to hear. We experience bad radio all the time due to this. They will play the same song over and over again until it is all you know and then you lie to yourself by saying you like it and then pick them as a winner in the music awards. There is no genuine value in the music industry. And then these poor celebrities actually believe people like the trash they put out. No, it is just like junk food, if you are starving and all that is available at the time is what is there then you will swallow it to get you through the moment, but then it has negative effects on you in the later.
