Guy, Kevin Gilbert would applaud your playing of "Ballad of Jenny Ledge." Hard to believe its been like 25 years since he passed away. I was huge fan of Toy Matinee when this album first came out. KLOS in L.A. played the songs on the album a lot and even had Kevin on a few times on the Mark & Brian show in the morning. I remember when Kevin passed that Mark Thompson (disk jocky on KLOS) announced it and said that a brilliant musician was gone before his time. I was driving to work and got a bit choked up when I heard that.
Anyway... keep up the good work and Cheers to you.

Toy Matinee is one of my all time favorite albums. The collaboration and chemistry comes through so well! I’m also a fan of 3rd Matinee...but the bass work on Toy Matinee is stellar all around. I’m weird in that I started listening to Pink Floyd’s later stuff before I got into the early stuff (I was in college when The Division Bell came out...so I was well aware of Guy Pratt...especially after seeing Pulse when it came out. I still watch as many incarnations of Run Like Hell that I can. Definitely Mr. Cool for sure...and with these videos, it’s like I know a superstar.

I remember watching Delicate Sound of Thunder on Laserdisc around 1993, it blew my mind.
It had The Great Gig In The Sky, yet the cd album I bought in 1994 didn`t have that on, as well as the awesome
One Slip Solo you done, hmmm was gutted, but at least I had the Laserdisc.
No wonder David Gilmour had you touring with them, you are one iimmensely talented guy, ha no pun intended.
Thanks for the pure joy I have had all these years listening and watching you perform.

Just wanted to thank you. I was a bass player years ago, but a toxic spider bite destroyed a good amount of the muscle mass in my right hand. You've inspired me to try again - I am looking for a decent price on a basic used bass. I'll likely never play on stage in a soccer stadium, but I'm determined to put on some headphones and play for myself. I'll be buying myself a bass and amp for my birthday in a few weeks and cannot wait to learn from your vids. Been a fan of yours since I saw Delicate Sound on VHS way back when it was released.
