Genius of a bassist. One band that doesn't get nearly the recognition it deserves is Toy Matinée, for which Guy was bassist and songwriter. They only released one album in 1990, but it's awesome.

Love your bass playing Guy and your comedy too! You’re an inspiration to me, at the age of 67 & with no musical ability whatsoever I went out and bought a bass, amp etc. 13 weeks in I’m playing comfortably numb, ok badly but I’m loving the journey.

I can't count the number of times I've watched this interview and I still laugh out loud when Guy imitates Madonna "Time is money and the money is mine!" He's too funny with that impression. He's fun to watch being interviewed. I'd like to find an interview of him talking about touring with Iva Davies of Icehouse. I think Iva Davies is the best thing to come out of Australia, he's an incredible singer and song writer.

I wish they talked more about Rick Wright because he's Guy's father-in-law. He seems like a really nice man too. I'd like to meet the guys of Pink Floyd and Dave's band. And just saying, watching Guy live, he's the only one dancing and jumping around at the front of the stage.

kind of Ironic, as a Floyd family member, fan and their post Waters bassist (after Tony Levin) he probably wanted to see Pink Floyd reunite more than anyone but was unable to attend because he was playing the same gig elsewhere.

Yeah funny story, Roger wasn't even the best bass player in Pink Floyd. Always an idea man. If you listen to the studio version of 'One of These Days' off of 'Meddle', the intro consists of two bass tracks recorded over one and other, the first, dirty, messy bass line is Roger's, the second, cleaner, neater, more precise bass line is David's.

Listen to any live recordings of them playing back in the late 60’s early 70’s and even up to The Wall Tour in 1980, Roger held it down just fine. Yeah he isn’t a Geddy Lee level bassist but he plays just fine. I love ya Guy but cmon we all know thats a huge exaggeration to make.
