    Thanks for the vid. Here are some tips for anyone reading this:
    - If you have a coupe, removing the rear seat just requires pulling up really hard on the left and right side. It will pop up, there are no release tabs like on the sedan.
    - Put a towel around the inside of the opening before removing the screws to plug the gap between the seat and car body. Those screws are real short, and the last one has a tendency to pop out. If they fall inside the car body under the seat you will never get them back, and you need all of them to screw down a proper seal.
    - Before buying a new sensor, you can try removing the existing one and cleaning the contact points with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol. Sometimes all it needs is a cleaning and it's good to go. You'll know it's dirty if you see black stuff on your Q-tip as you rub it against the electrical gauge that the float arm is attached to.
    - If cleaning/replacing the sensor doesn't solve your problem, the next place to look is the fuel pump sensor under the rear passenger seat. Try cleaning it before replacing it. The final issue can be a faulty AC Amplifier. It is an electronic part behind the media screen. It costs about $150 used but make sure you get the right part for your year and model by looking it up on the official Infiniti website. 90% of the time 1 of those 3 parts (fuel sensor, fuel pump, or AC Amplifier) will be the culprit for the P0462 error code.

    I was just looking for the location of the fuel level sensor wiring, but this video was beyond helpful and educational!
    If it.wnds up being the sensor needing to be replaced, I'm confident that I'll be able to swap it with ease from what I learned from this video.
    Thank you so much for posting this!

    A few months ago, I cleaned the contacts on the sending unit and the fuel pump and got a new cluster. It worked for a while but then the problem came back. Changed pump now it's stuck on 1/4. Think I should just change sending unit now too?

    Definitely gonna try this, I just bought a shit box g35 kinda and I’ve gotta fix a lot of shit. This is one of them, now if you can just tell me why my temp gauge was high as hell maybe because it was 100° F, I don’t think it’s a head gasket because white smoke ain’t coming out of the exhaust or engine bay

    • @markmoon4602
      @markmoon4602 Před 10 měsíci

      If your temperature gauge was high, it’s either the radiator going out, one of the fans not working in the radiator, one of the hoses are loose or has a tear in it, the clamps around the hoses are faulty, or worse case scenario, water pump is bad. Get inside the g35 forum page as well for more information on the g35 cars

      You won't always get white smoke on a blown head gasket and still have a blown head gasket, because it depends where the crack occurs.

      @@markmoon4602 heyo! Little late but a month ago I found out I had a fan go out from a mechanic getting things checked on. Hoses are okay so far rn for them being 18 years old💀 should probably use new coolant ngl

      Hey guys the problem with the stuck fuel cluster is the a/c amplifier control that house the fuel gauge sensor from sending unit. They say the sauder comes loose so I guess that’s why the reading is stuck. Check out the videos. Gonna try it soon. ✌🏾

    My 2009 Infiniti G37x has 'two' fuel sensors ...change them both. {unless you know how to clean the contacts with a q-tip} When I ordered the fuel sensor, they sent me two units.

      You made this comment a while ago but the reason for that is that the code needs to be cleared if the problem is gone the light will stay off

    is there a sensor on both sides?

    • @DoomFinger511
      @DoomFinger511 Před 6 měsíci

      The other side has a sensor but it is combined with the fuel pump so it's a little harder to remove because it is bigger. It's better to try and clean all the electrical connections with alcohol first before buying a replacement.
