Hopefully the Avs can close it out tonight. They like winning series in the other team's house. Also, hopefully, the Knights/Stars goes 7 games so they can beat each other up. That would be great.

@@DonovanRios88 I'm not optimistic considering they immediately ruled him out for the entire opening series. Maybe he can make it back later in that series but I'd be shocked to see him in the first couple games. Gotta get there first though. Need one more win.

I think Oettinger is too young to take the heat being the favorites vs VGK. Stars vs. Av's on the other hand I would still put my money on Stars since they are not the favorite vs. Av's even having better season and goalie doesn't have same pressure. AV's vs. VGK.... Av's will run them over.

I think Avs close it out tonight and face Vegas in the 2nd round. Winner of that series ends up in the WCF and potentially win the cup.

I say Leafs gonna string their fans along for another game and lose at home to rub salt further into ML fans wounds.
Isles gonna be a toss up but probably Canes finish them off.
Nashville is either gonna come out and fold like a cheap tent after that devastating loss or roaring back like a lion. The latter depends on how well Van goalie and defense hold up.

Playoffs should be that each team east and west play each other twice , away and at home. 8 best move on and so on. This would be, in my opinion, more realistic approach to get the best team win the cup.

The Leafs are poorly constructed (no 1 or 1A D man) and have plenty of depth. They can win without Matthews, did during the season, same with Nylander, same with Marner, on and on. Teams win, teams lose. What kind of dressing room does Keefe have then?
AVS need to end this series tonight . Get some rest. But Ball arena is a great place to win too.

Jets don't have the high end talent that the Avs do. Changing goalies won't help. Top line and defensive paring for the Jets would be the Avs third line and second or bottom defensive pairing.
@mannyoliveira776 You're insane if you think Toffoli, Ehlers, and Monnahan are better than half the Avs players. Scheifele isn't better than Nichushkin. Morrissey isn't better than Toews. Not by a long shot. And saying Connor is as good if not better than Rantannen is delusional. The Jets PK is terrible, and has been all season. The only reason people think the Jets defense is good is Hellebuyck. Looking at advanced stats, the Jets defense is pretty middle of the pack. Hellebuyck breaks, the Jets break.

@mannyoliveira776 I honestly don't think you understand how good the Avs actually are. The Jets have had 5 games to get their stuff together, and they haven't. They are outclassed across the board. It seems more like the Jets defense is overrated and relied on a world class goalie to help them out. The Jets overpaid for half their talent. Sorry. Thems the brakes, bud
