May be the best series of the playoffs

Canucks have the edge in goal. Skinner is always overhyped and he’s average at best. The team carried him most of the season and LA didn’t have enough fire power to really test him.

I think Edmonton wins but thats not going to stop me from rooting for the Canucks! From a hockey and Bruins fan.

Rarely would cheer for a rival team to win the Stanley Cup just because they're a Canadian team. Can't cheer for Edmonton or Vancouver to win the Stanley Cup ever and was happy to see the New York Rangers in 1994 or Carolina Hurricanes in 2006 and Boston Bruins win in 2011 for example. I'll wait another year for Calgary to win or an east team to win. Only years I wouldn't mind a Canadian team win the Stanley Cup just because they we're a Canadian team outside of Calgary was Ottawa in 2007 and Montreal in 2021. Ottawa had no chance against the Anaheim Ducks. Same with the Montreal Canadiens in 2021 but for 2004 reasons I'll never cheer for Tampa Bay as well. Only time when all of Canada is cheering for the same team is Team Canada in international hockey tournaments example the Olympics.

Despite being from Buffalo I can not think of a single time when Kane has shown any interest of any kind in joining the Sabres. With the way he played in Detroit I wouldn't mind him on the roster but I just don't see it happening.

It's been my opinion for the most of this season that the coaching was the main issue with this team. Let's hope I'm right, and that Lindy Ruff is the right man for the job.

Whenever I hear the word "Buffalo" now, in any context, I notice this slightly depressing feeling creeping into me. It's bad. I just feel bad for that fanbase. That has to be so brutal.

I'm an Islanders fan living in Buffalo for going on 12 years. I've never been here for a Sabres playoff series, but I've been noticing that even my friends who are most dedicated to the team and the sport are just about completely apathetic to the Sabres at this point. It used to be easy to get my friends to go to see games, now it's like pulling teeth. Some of my buddies were full season ticket holders at one point and are now quarter-season holders at best this upcoming season. Sad state of affairs.

One other interesting fact is April 13 McDavid wasn't in the lineup. This series is going to be the best Oilers team the Canucks have seen all season. Will be very interesting to see the series and excited for it to come!

Best way for Buffalo to make the playoffs? Move them to the Mid-tropolitan division.

Canucks didnt feel the need to whip out the Hög in first round.... Hopefully he picks it up. But remember Kessler in 2011 0 points vs Blackhawks in round 1 and then Beast mode in round 2 so maybe Höggy and Peetey can go beast on the oilers.... We will see what happens

Two first overall picks in the last 6 years (2018 & 2021). Solid drafting year after year keeping the core young and full of talent. Received great pieces from trading with other teams. The issue is definitely a lack of good veteran presence, I have to agree with Shannon there.

They have too much talent to not be better next season. I feel you’ll see a much better record with all the young guys having more NHL experience

Man, the last time buffalo made the playoffs Kendrick and drake were still on good terms.

Watching Buffalo, you'd have to think moves for Better Defenseman (particularly younger Right handed D-men) would be on the cards this offseason to help push them over the playoff line given their abundance of young forwards they can use in trades. I think their goalie group you could maybe add a better Veteran goalie but honestly Defense is what the Sabres need to compliment Dalhin and Power.
