The Cat Talisman is a gag, 'null fall damage' whilst you pick it up from a corpse at the bottom of a well
I thought so too, till I had to platform liquid hot magma. Minor help in That escape =o lol
In my playthrough, I only gave me 5-10% reduced fall damage. Not alot
Only removes fall damage from the 16-20m range, after 20m its death, before 16 its no damage anyway
Also if you let that thing down there kill you by grapple teleports you in volcano manor area
I tested it like an idiot
One useful tip is that both of the bookshelf-illusory-walls have no books on their shelves, which makes them easier to pick out

After giving Thops the academy key, you can find and loot his dead body just outside the classroom site of grace for the 'Thops Barrier' sorcery. That is quite helpful against the last boss of the game.
Ahh. So that was what those messages on that desk and table were about. I was wondering about the first time I passed through there.

Like, wth happened to the dude? He was jus all excited to get back to his studying and his work with the stars.. or wait… was “stars” code for dope??!! and he couldn’t wait to get back to the stash of Primo Stars he had left behind!? It all makes sense now. He was tooo excited to see that key all just to effin return and immediate O.D on us on our first visit to see him. Smh! Lol Nah but like seriously tho, I demand sum answers into wth happened to Thops.. gotta get C.S.I. Involved to forensic files the shit outta this mystery. Lol

Oh and don't forget to go back to the church he was originally at to pick up the matching Ash of War afterwards
It’s crazy I feel like I’ve been very thorough with my exploration of this game when playing and I am stunned there are still a few items that I missed. Only a few in each video but damn this series is awesome you’ve got my sub for these. Legend.
Seriously took the words str8 outta my mouth. I even feel ashamed to say it but in the castle stormveil I str8 up missed the whole below part wher it’s all dark and u have to fight that mini boss and u can find like a huge alien like ugly face down ther aswell. I jus somehow bypassed it and didn’t even have a clue.. lol if it wasn’t for the statue that u need to have the giant break apart in order to get the stones inside I woulda never even known about it either bcuz I knew I had to go back and figure out how to crack the statue and the troll wasn’t strong enough so I decided to jus look it up and noticed that section I missed in the video lol
Some cheese for those of us that suck at rolling and parrying: The iron maiden thing at the bottom can't get to you if you stand directly beneath the giant spinning wheel. It's too tall. have fun! Also, the badass knight before the boss can be lured into the falling boulder trap and turned into a steel pancake. Takes about 2-3 drops. Arrows speed up his fall from grace. Enjoy!
good luck trying that with the two iron maiden bosses in the lava area 😅
Popping in to mention his pursuit area has been cut down so he won’t fall for that anymore 😬😭
@@Test1ngOneTwo there’s a ledge you can hop up on to cheese the Iron Maiden pair.
As mentioned previously, the knight can't be lured to the Boulder trap anymore. As for the iron maiden, another option is to sprint to the pathway that leads back to the elevator. The entrance to the pathway is too narrow for the iron maiden to fit through. Stay out of range and use ranged attacks or just wait for the tail end of it's grab animation, melee a few times, retreat and repeat.
@Wyvern Of Strength Cheers, I'll have to attempt it on my next run. He barely followed me out the building much less anywhere near the falling boulder on my current run.
Tip pre-boss: All the sorcerers are busy reading books. You can sneak passed them all, sans the one on the stairs in front of the boss. Can conserve flasks for boss

After that jump on the rooftops (16:35 ish), instead of going to the marionettes on the left you can jump to the next roof in front of you and follow the path to the tower on the right. You will fall on some wooden platforms and find a crystal crab that gives you the Lazuli Glintstone Crown (improves Int and Dex but reduces HP).
He totally missed that.
I had to take my like back from you because he did grt that crab sround the 18:03 area
@@keronlezama2391 that one is another crab. There is one crab in the wooden planks you fall on using the path I described and that one in the video at the bottom of the tower.
Is that the area where there’s a bird? I explored almost the whole castle before founding the grace just to die falling off of the roof thanks to that damn bird.
@@kingwzrd_pr at 16:43, after jumping to the roof, instead of turning left to fight the archers if you continue forward and jump to the next roof, it will take you around to a tower with broken wooden floors that you can jump down eventually finding another crystallized crab. Then jumping down a little further, you will arrive in the room with crabs near where he kills the other crystallized crab in the video.
Also there is an illusory door in the church at the very beginning, on the right. One of the windows are fake, you can see it when approaching the Academy, the hidden room is visible from the outside. There is some loot there.

@@cmortonwvu I use MapGenie, logged down every items I collected along the way. Even with that shit, you'd be surprised how many items I missed let alone if you're just playing blind.
That named Carian Knight is an ass, I died to him so much until I got the idea to bait him back to the stairs where I can watch him get flattened by those boulders.
Hahaha same, I lost more that 20000+ runes on him, and the moment I realized what's behind him is a lift I rush through him and baited him to take the lift with me and I jump down and when he did the same I attack him and push him off the edge.
A few more:
1. Before entering, on the bridges with those symbols you can interact with to go to the big gates a ways away. Just run past the floating blue symbols and you can explore the bridges. The north bridge leads to a red summon sign for a quest, the eastern one leads to a merchant and semi hidden enemy at the very end.
2. Curch, the first window wall panel on the right side of the entrance church is an illusory wall. Elden Shard back there, so useful but no unique items.
3. Again the carrion knight, I advicse jump attacks, he loves parrying but can't parry jumps. Not sure if they fixed it but his parry is also bugged. He can trigger his parry, instantly, even while mid stagger state, died twice to that on my first playthrough while jump clubbing him. Would get a stagger, then go in for a normal heavy hit and he'd half way through pop into instant parry right as it'd connect otherwise. So just avoid normal attacks if you can, only jumps, knifes, bombs, magic, and such for the most part. He's weakest to jumps I find though.
4. At 16:40, if instead of going left, you had gone right here you could make your way into a entrance into one of the towers and drop down inside of it, for some loot. Do this after taking the other routes first though, like on your second run/trip through this location just to get everything, as you can't get back up to where you started after dropping down into that tower all the way.
Thx bud, Tip 4 that way gets you Lazuli Glintstone Crown.

It's for Bloody finger hunter Yura. You invade his targets world and help him kill that bloody finger. Helped him in three playthroughs so far. First, I think you need to have been invaded in the canyon back in limbgrave past the dragons lake, and killed the invader with Yura surviving if he even had time to spawn and assist. After that run north to under the ruins in the canyon to talk to him there.
Next is I think if you've gone up the lift or cave path to Altus Plateu, if you go to the second Church of Marika and get invaded by the red enemy there, I think that would probably count as advancing beyond that earlier point on that bridge. Don't think I've actually checked this one though since all the ones since I learned about that summon sign after my first I've interacted with him before getting to that church for his later part.

I realize that I am late to the game and your guides. I also realize that you very probably don’t read all of these posts…but, for what it’s worth, you have helped me so tremendously with this game. You have helped to make it far more enjoyable for me and I genuinely appreciate the time you’ve invested in making these guides. I truly appreciate them.
Quick note on fall damage since the talisman that negates fall damage is mentioned, illusory wall is a more technical CZcamsr that did a detailed video about fall damage, where he discovered that lethal fall damage is 20 meters, while fall damage is received at 16 meters. So the window between taking damage and dying from a fall is pretty small, which makes that talisman less useful than similar rings in previous souls games.
Also, fall damage does a percentage of your health, not a specific o flat ammount, so having more health doesn't make any difference towards surviving a fall.

dex also reduces fall damage as well tho not sure how that all figures into it
Yes. This exactly why I found anything that helps with fall damage is nit useful since the window between damage and death is really really small
I think the wolves, merchant, item and ambush enemy at the start of the academy are pretty misseable as well. If you run south from the first site of grace within the academy area, before the first lift, you can run past the magic seal and reach the gate, on that path there are a lot of wolves, a merchant, an item at the gate and an enemy the ambushes you at the gate.
Dude, the note that Merchant sells is seriously the most important item in the game if you are doing an honest blind play through and not looking anything up or using any guides. I would have nooo idea that there would be an illusory floor! haha
There is a dew too to remove sins
One thing about the boss: If you decide to bring co-op players in, only bring one player into your game. The boss fight can be bugged and can't be finished if three players are in the same session.
My friends had that, we just decided to die and try again and it fixed itself
I'm honestly so glad I've found these videos.
While I've found 95% of the things you've pointed out, there's still one or two areas or items that I completely missed and it's so good to know about.
I'm spending hours scouring each location, and it's amazing to still be surprised occasionally!

This series is fantastic! I enjoy taking my time and fully exploring each area, so I’m amazed and often pleasantly surprised by some of the things I missed. Hope there’s more of these on the way 👍
there's actually an illusory wall on the right side of the church's entrance(first wall as far as i remember) for a rune arc, i think

Great stuff. I've spent untold number of hours in the Academy and still didn't find everything. One thing you might have missed. Once you teleport through the gate and you are at the sight of grace, rather than heading into the Academy, you can turn around to where the symbol is floating in the air. Head to them and then pass by them to the side, your can go down the bridges. From the south gate you have two options, one leads to a lootable item while the other leads to a bunch of wolves, some loot, and a secret merchant. Then all the way at the end of the bridge it another bloodhound boss. Meanwhile the north gate leads to some lootables and a very important Golden Seed.
Also on the north gate if you just walk through, there's a red summon sign to continue the quest of finger Hunter Jura. you'll get some nice loot from it too (ash of war) :-)

Very high quality guide. I can't believe how much stuff I missed, especially those talismans and the turtle pope!
From the "Debate Parlor" site of grace, you can go outside and then immediately to the right and back and you will see a ledge you can jump down to. From there you can see a stair straight ahead. After you go up, you go immediately to the right through some broken windows and you will get inside the Debate Parlor on the second floor and there is some loot there.

I found out another thing regarding this video... Inside the church of cuckoo, as soon as you walk through the door, go to the back right corner of the room and strike the first part of the right side wall. That is a hidden passage that will reveal a mini graveyard with a rune arc in there!

These videos are like a master class. I’ve been watching them only after I have cleared an area just to see what I’ve missed (as to not spoil anything), and these are great! So helpful. This is my favorite elden ring content atm.
I am in the Academy right now and GEEZ, I would have missed so much loot had I not watched this video. I've already beaten the Red Radagon pup and now need to do some backtracking. I would have been pissed at meself had I missed that Imbued Key and those Burger King Crowns. Thanks Dom, great series!

I really appreciate these videos. I thought id done quite well at searching round this area but it appears there's still a few important bits to get.
Another tip on entering the castle. There's another way to skip the barricade entrance to the academy. Just go to the Laskyar Ruins (near the start of that area with the merchant by the lake). Run past the revenants with your mount. The teleporter there will bring you straight to the academy entrance.
That was basically the first thing I found in Liurnia. That together with the map where to find the key was a really cool thing. "Here's the legacy dungeon, you can go right ahead or explore Liurnia first to get ready". Very Breath of the Wild-like.

Man, I love your guides! Thought I'd explored the Academy, but missed all the roof tops :D
At the Main Academy Grace site, there are a few things you can do before entering the Academy building. Head north past the seal and you can join Yura as a summon for part of his quest line. Further north along the broken bridge is an Erdtree Sapling and seed. Head past the east facing seal and there are some items and a nomadic merchant.

Thanks for pointing out all of the illusory walls and terrain jumps! I missed a LOT in this area and banged my head against the brick wall of doggo for about an hour
I was trying to be SOOO careful and I still missed the Carian set and that illusionary wall after the classroom grace! Playing offline I just find myself wacking away at any area I feel I didn't find enough stuff and I still manage to miss things lol. I'm loving this series btw, so very informative and like the title suggests it's an awesome resource after I've made my run through big areas.
