    Also, a rectification:
    You can still duplicate your remembrance even if you used it. I thought if you didn't have it in your inventory anymore, you can't duplicate it which is why I always made sure to duplicate it first but no need for that! So the tip essentially becomes: be aware that you can get both items from your remembrance and that there are limited number of walking mausoleums in the world.

    In regards to Remembrances and duplicating them with Mausoleums, you can actually exchange a Remembrance for an item/spell and still get the other one later. Mausoleums allow you to duplicate and Remembrance that you have OBTAINED, not just the ones you currently possess, so don't worry about needing to hold on to Remembrances until you find a Mausoleum

    For me, the best thing mentioned was that rolling away from enemies is almost always a bad move. I've very often found that rolling into an enemy to avoid its attacks is better. Forward is better for most enemies usually because it puts you either at their side or behind them. Their attacks are usually ranged at the length of their blade forward so you’ll avoid whatever counter they hit you with. Then you can hit their unguarded side or behind. Of course this doesn’t account for AOE attacks/spells that require running away.

The only real drawback is you can't deal a critical strike with them... But just attacking regularly while the monster is stunned deals as much damage. So just play whatever you want. One thing to add with Fia's debuff/Baldachin's Blessing is that for certain quests you do need to speak to Fia in order to progress them, and she will only speak to you while hugging you, so it's definitely a thing you're going to receive if you want to get at everything in the game. So really, don't feel bad if you have the simp debuff. It's only natural.
    Also, when it comes to atonement, there is one NPC you CAN kill and still atone for the crime of doing so: Sellen. At least if you kill her in the Witch prison ruins area. Like I did when I thought it might be how you free her from it. When you kill her she says it's useless because she can't die, and it's true - if you come back later she'll still be there. But the attack does aggro her and she'll disappear from the Waypoint Ruins as seller/NPC for quests. If you atone at the temple of Vows for your sins, she will return to Waypoint and will work again as normal. So that's another one that there's a bit more complex compared to the standard NPC aggro/death situations.

      Jesus Christ how have I never heard about this. The fact that you can’t fall while attacking comes up all the time, even as a method to navigate the invisible bridges. But it never cross my mind to use it to test if it’s lethal in the first place. Although word of warning that doesn’t always work, some ledges are so rocky and inconsistent the game doesn’t properly register it as a potential fall. You can either kill tree sentinels (found near the big trees around the map (not the erdtrees but the other one that is brown and green)) or find them in chests to get them. The flask is a one-time use that refill when you use a grace (rest at one or teleport at one) or die and respawn. if the sword is on your right then you can use it's special move otherwise if it's on the left you can't and you can cast spells no matter which hand.
    The more important tip I have is knowing how to dual wield items like the staff when on horseback to use it whilst riding. then for close encounters switching back to sword and staff combo. to dualwield an item to make it 50% more powerful use triangle and L1 for dualwielding in your left and triangle R1 for the same with the right... good luck tarnished

      Mostly good info, except you don’t make the weapon 50% stronger by two-handing it. What happens is you get a 50% increase to your strength stat, at 66 strength two-handing a weapon artificially makes your strength go up to 99. Meaning if you have a weapon that has S scaling with strength, two-handing it will give a lot more damage. But if you have a weapon that scales very well with Dex and only a D with strength, you won’t get much benefit from two-handing.

      @@Bleax *They don't* , I tested it for myself a while ago. Neither magic nor stealth dmg increases while 2 handing (even if the stealth critical is inflicted by a STR scaling weapon, magic dmg might scale for STR scaling Faith seals but I'd have to test further). Critical hits due to stagger (when part of the enemy has that bright orange "light") do for sure scale though. As to why he might've needed less hits to kill with everything else being the same, it's simple.
      1. Enemies receive more damage while they haven't detected you, no matter the source.
      2. Enemies' stats seem to vary by spawn. Meaning in a group of, let's say, 10 enemies, 2 might have increase stats despite looking identical to the rest. It's not the same ones everytime either. Found this out by farming Tree Guardians near the Dragonsbarrow Fork in Caelid and using the Carian Slicer.
      Another fun thing this farming run led me to find? Magic is fully silent to enemies, even if hitting their friends 4 feet to the side. A physical weapon hit on the other hand will aggro them to the location of it, regardless of what it hits.

    #10 says don't focus too much on main story bosses and stop to explore more. In the next video you advise to not explore outside of your current area as you might ruin quests.
    I wanted to explore and level before fighting Rennala so explored Caelid. Found a big bridge and castle, explored both, in the castle found what seemed a bigger boss than Rennala (Radahn), he wrecked me every time so I left, and went and explored and finished Caria Manor. Got to Ranni's tower, heard she had a great questline, was excited to start it, but she wasn't there. Discovered that by going to the castle in Caelid I ended my chance to play her questline, cannot get any of her rewards now.
    This sucks. What the hell From Software. I have no problem with a hard game, but why would anyone make an open world game but then punish players badly simply for venturing out and exploring?

    • @ghoulishgoober3122
      @ghoulishgoober3122 Před rokem +2

      It doesn't have to be deliberate. If I'm correct fighting Starscourge Radahn can suspend certain quests because of the magnitude of the event that lets you fight him and what happens during it (a lot of npcs, some you've already met flock to the festival grounds). You will be able to access them again after you kill Starscourge Radahn. Good luck my friend :] you simply didn't know you were locking yourself into a boss fight
