Do mounted models not get forced to drop their lance on dismount?

So in the rulebook it says that when a cavalry model with a lance dismounts they ordinarily abandon it, but that isn't the rulebook saying that you automatically lose the lance - so it's still a piece of wargear in his profile that's fair game to be used when you're on foot!

@@GollumGamers Well it´s a cavalry lance, which can´t be wielded by infantry since there is no rule for it ( unlike the warspear), also they lose the cavalry keyword. So it´s just a poetic way of writing , yes, they lose it since it has no use on foot. Sadly there is no faq, but as you may have noticed, this specific game and writing a bit more fluffy than others. Hopefully that helps with the confusion

@@whiteboyfrik5864 I get your point mate, but it doesn't actually say anywhere that a lance can't be wielded by infantry, so it's still a weapon in their profile that can be used the same as any other - in our experience, this ruling is widely accepted in the competitive community of our game 😊

@@GollumGamers Would you please give me some sources that explain that is it widely accepted? I haven´t been able to encounter one, but if you say it is widely accepted, will use that knowledge and give it to my local community, so we are on par with the competitive communities from all over the world and not be a secluded one hahaha. @@whiteboyfrik5864 I don’t have any sources for you I’m afraid, as it’s just from our experiences from going to events and regularly playing against the best players in the country (we attend more events than any other team in the GBHL!) 😊
