Man, this is soooo quality! Italians just have their own musical world and you either love it or don't. San Remo is a national celebration that you can't understand unless you are Italian.
FLORENTIN EXACTLY, finally someone who understand this
The further I get into learning Italian, the more I'm understanding about the culture and how deeply ingrained arts and music are into Italian life. It's not that it's part of life, it's more like it IS life. Music and arts are like breathing for Italians.
and you dont win the damn thing without running a MARATHON - 5 nights, and some of them 6 hours long LOL. It's like the Hunger Games of National Qualifying....
@@Luubelaar Noi respiriamo arte in ogni angolo delle nostre città, fa parte del nostro DNA. Ciao
Italians should be proud of it for sure, it's just a masterpiece!
Melanie Lee it’s beautiful.
Soldi was perfect for ESC and Mahmood didn't win it. So, this year I will not care if our songs are good or bad for Eurovision, you said it "Sanremo is not a selection". Fai Rumore is a perfect ballad for italian public, I cry everytime I listen to it and I hope people from all Europe will have my same reaction and vote for Diodato❤️🇮🇹
Edoardo Martorana una canzone da morire..,..fantastico Italia! Spero la vincera!
Edoardo Martorana secondo me non andrá per niente bene quest’anno con questa canzone ma de gustibus😂
@@peppinopeppone9886 a me piace e di come andrà all'ESC "me ne frego" come dice Achille Lauro
Ti ho visto pure sotto un altro video lol
Yes Italy is succeeding in Making us sleep this year
That's my winner 🥇🇮🇹 Italy is always serving us quality and as I watched whole Sanremo (yep, all shows which were lasting till 2AM) and I loved that ❤️ The orchestra creates such an atmosphere and the Italians really show us what real music is
My favourite was Rancore with Eden but Diodato really touched my heart and when he won I literally cried... People are now mad but Diodato will prove them wrong in Rotterdam 🔥
I think this will be top 10 AT LEAST, but it belongs in the top 5 especially when Eurovision seems to be a lot weaker this year.
Epix Eurovision Guy Most songs are yet to come out, but yeah, I get the same impression. Last year was epic!
@@mandarintomato9205 2018 and 2019 were the strongest competitions ever imo, but you cant have these every year 😃
what do you think about Morgan and Bugo?
@@io-zf1fy I liked the song, quite original one 👌But the drama that happened was...unnecessary 😶
It's not "BIG 5" anymore, It's "BIG 1" and it's Italy!
Congrats Italy on TOP 10 finish!
Diodato numero uno 💕
This song is soooo good and is criminally underrated by the Eurovision fandom at the moment.
Luckily the Eurovision odds are looking much better for them, which I think (and hope) is a closer reflection of what we will see with the results. For me this is miles above the other songs released so far. Come on Italy! 🇮🇹
The chorus is PERFECT. This song is a winner, magnificent! ♥️
Lunalretic B The chorus is really very beautiful 🇮🇹
the lyrics will break your heart. this will finish high.
EURO VIZ USA YAY 😍😍😍
Nobody in this contest cares about lyrics except Italians themselves lmao.
this opinion is why you should remain anonymous.
Diodato was my second in Sanremo tho year... I personally don’t care about the final rank at Eurovision this year, because I can honestly say that my country is bringing immense quality with a good, simple and humble ballad ❤️🇮🇹 I had the same impression with Ermal and Fabrizio... this is going to be so good in Rotterdam ❤️🇮🇹
Samuele Fabbri Thank you for this Italian perspective!!!
wiwibloggs your welcome, I always love your reactions and your way of dealing with the contest... you always try to valorate the contestants and last year with mahmood you did a great job... I hope you see you soon in Italy ❤️
Samuele Fabbri a me e piaciuto Elodie e Rancore. Elodie sarebbe la migliore per rappresentare Italia in Eurovision
He'll do well in Rotterdam, he's got great presence, and the song creates a mood, he's giving me Marco Mengoni vibes, and I love it. :)
That's what I thought when he won. I think he will do well like Mengoni ....
absolutely. I hope he gets the same type of megastardom that Marco has.
Andromeda by Elodie was actually written by Mahmood!
smolcece Ahhhhh! That explains why it was so amazing and contemporary.
And it was produced by Mahmoud producer.... rapide is lovey
It’s my favourite so far; 12 points to them! I love you guys and your channel.
I have no idea why but I can't help myself falling in love with Italian male singers. Male singers from 🇮🇹 = 100% success of getting to top 10
2015 Italy had to win and didnt win
2017 Italy had to win and didnt win
2018 Italy had to win and didnt win
2019 Italy had to win and didnt win
Does Europe want Italy to abandon Eurovision again? What he has to do to win once?.
what about 2011 with Raphael Gualazzi?
Since their return in 2011, Italy always sends quality music that mostly finished in the top 10. Even "Madness of Love", "Grande Amore", and "Soldi" finished in top 3. They don't use formula but they (mostly) succeed. One thing that I love from Italy's entries is they always send entries in Italian (fully or partly). That makes their entries unique from the others.
Italy could leave the eurovision because they dont deserve it
P.s. = im italian :)
2020 Italy had to win and..... Eurovision got cancelled :(
There were much better songs in those years
It sounds like a potential winner.
I've been following Eurovision since 2012, the year the marvelous Loreen won with "Euphoria," and I can say without question that this 2020 entry from Italy has had the most direct, visceral effect on me of any Eurovision song I've ever heard, including many that I have loved dearly. I only heard the song for the first time a few days ago, but I haven't stopped thinking about it and hearing it in my head since. No matter how many times I watch it on CZcams, the performance by Diodato leaves me with goosebumps and in tears every time. What is it about the Italian entries? They are almost always on point emotionally and aesthetically. I don't speak a word of Italian and it doesn't even matter. I hope this one does as well as I believe it will in the Grand Final. I am now immersed in listening to everything I can find on CZcams from Diodato, and will be a fan for life no matter what happens at Eurovision 2020. -- from El Paso, Texas, USA
I love him. Italy sure gets my vote this year.
Italy is coming top 10 again.
Adore this song. My favourite so far and cannot wait to hear the slimmed down eurovision cut. Makes me teary eyed in a good way.
Olivia Mac Arthur Yes, love it. Such a masterpiece and the meaning is very powerful. Love how some contestants write their own music and perform it with passion.
Italy is always a winner to me! 12 points!
Funny fact : Diodato wrote this song by thinking about his ex girlfriend who also partecipated in Sanremo this year (Levante)
Whhhhhaaaaaaaaaaat!? That is an interesting fact :D
My two favourites, WTF. XDDD
Ooh my...after he won is she still the ex girlffriend?
Wooooot????! This is my fave wow its interesting how does shes feel now? Xd
bruhhhhh that must’ve been so awkward
I‘m loving this song! All the best to Italy
She got exactly the meaning that was explained by Diodato himself... incredible! 🥰💙
Exception. I adore this song.
Lovely song! Go on Diodato! Best wishes from Portugal 🇵🇹
As an Italian, the very moment I heard that he won I was very angry cause I felt like any other song in Sanremo would have been better for Eurovision, but after listening to the lyrics and understanding the story behind it (looks like the song is dedicated to his ex which was competing too) it’s starting to grow more and more on me.
We’ll see, but I think that, in the end, we made the right choice again.
Not. The right choise was Elodie not Diodato.
DIODATO he is Boring. Not for ESC.
@@antoniopicone4931 Elodie, Levante or Rancore were perfect for the ESC.
Riccardo Marangoni I thought this too about my country’s winner song too (Lithuania). But I can see why public chose them because they have meaning in their song and also it’s different and Lithuania always try and either send a safe song or a risky one like this year.
Riccardo Marangoni io speravo vincesse Ringo Star, però FAI RUMORE era la mia seconda scelta
Thank you very much both for your mainly very positive comments and Diodato for bringing back also the dignity & PASSION indeed in Eurovision SONG Contest same like Duncan Laurence greatly represented The Netherlands. Grazie mille btw this videoclip starts with lots of Orange the national color of the Dutch Royal House & The Netherlands...Anyway big chance 12 points from host The Netherlands go to... Italy...the Azzurri...Forza ITALIA...Ciao ESC Roma 2021!!! And indeed its TASTEFUL like a tasty original Italian pizza ;-) Btw in Eurovision all countries should sing in their own beautiful language like Italian and they should be promoted by SUBTITLES button on your remote control so everyone can also understand the songs during ESC 2020 like this meaningful song!!!
I'm Italian, this song gives me goosebumps! Italy sands a quality song as always!
fun fact: you said “he’s making some noise” while he was saying “fai rumore” which means “make some noise”
0:40 they knew that.
This is quality! In love with this act!
It's an incredible amazing ballad. One of the most beautiful ballads of the past 10 years. Every year Italy changes its style and amazes. The others win, the Italians are successful and sell (Mahmood with Soldi 150 million spare parts)
2:21 ... The most intelligent interpretation I've heard so far from anyone who didn't know the song beforehand... Right on! You go William and Suzanne!
Italy always send good song this is good too they will win eurovision within the next 5 years
Yes, shall we call that the 'Sweden forumula'?
Italy have been one of the biggest losers in the past decade in my honest opinion.
Italy will win in the next 5 years since 10 years ahah
That's what you've been telling us for 5 years already 🙃
A win would definitely be deserved!
shane o donnell I didn’t look into ESC until 2018 and seeing Italy being so damn strong in 2019, I know now that they will come stronger than ever in the years to come. Look at this masterpiece, it’s a bomb and a song that will do very well this year!
Italy Diodato is a winner
The winner OMG
You guys have really understood the deep meaning of this song.
Diodato has explained that "making noise" doesn't concern only speaking and communicating when involved in a relationship with a person: in a wider sense, the song talks about the necessity of "breaking down the walls of incommunicabilty" that people have erected in our society.
Fun fact: he's not that young, he's 38, even though he looks 20/25...
Jonny Cavallin WHAT! This is just like that guy from the Czech republic last year.
@@rachelahrens7478 Exactly, but I think Diodato is even older 😂...Guess I should ask them what they eat for my future!
omg, he looks so young~ I love his style and everything! 💖
Rachel Ahrens LOL, that’s true. I remember that guy, everyone thought he was like 18 😂
@@jonathancavallin4920 italian kitchen, you know.....
The best so far! I can't resist Italian ballads. I like it more than last year already
I like the song, and I am really happy for Diodato who deserved that victory. (Just check out some other Songs like "Che vita meravigliosa" etc.) Tbh I think that we (Italy) had our biggest chance to win the ESC last year with our phenomenon Mahmood, unfortunately it didn't happen for a couple of points. But I am sure that Diodato will do a great job in Rotterdam, i would be perfectly happy if he reaches the Top 10.
Italy the best
Diodato is my favourite artist ever, I follow him fron 3 years now and I'm so glad that he's finally getting all the recognitions he deserves. It doesn't matter if it's not a typical Eurovision song, it won Sanremo because it was the best. We, italians, don't want to win Sanremo the song that we think will do better at ESC but only our favourite and this song is absolutely amazing. I'm so proud of Diodato and he will make us all proud despite the place he will get in the classification: he's bringing italian quality to Rotterdam and that's all that matters ❤❤
Grazie! Diodato è fantastico e canta questa canzone con passione e sentimento! Spero possa vincere!!!
I would definitely say this is either winner or 2nd place at least. I love it. Like it’s such a classic, it’s different from last year - but that’s not a bad thing, it’s a very powerful and meaningful song this year. Good luck to all the countries this year! 💪🏻
I hope that diodato shall win this eurovision song contest because he is awesome and i truly love him 💖😉
I love this song. It could be a Top 5 this year. Or maybe a winner, like Salvador Sobral in 2017, also with a classic song. Greetings from Portugal
Diodato is really a great singer! And I love his song
Love, love, love it !!! 💞
The song is very well constructed, at the beginning there is an inner fight ( rumore ) because the author refuses to accept the abscence of the other , but at the end as he accepts this absence , this fight becomes a delicious memory.
It is an intelligent inner look, deep and universal human path
I feel like this could win. Until now, it is my favorite from all the released songs!
Carlos Mendoza It’s very tasteful. He also owns every second and every frame 😍
@@Wiwibloggs To be honest, I'm getting some Salvador Sobral + Duncan Laurence vibes from Diodato. Maybe the european public want to go back to the basics of music this year. Who knows?!
I don't think this will come anywhere close to winning. At least not for me.
she is beautiful
The words and music are BEATIFUL!!!!!!!!! Thank you...
I love you!! ❤️❤️❤️🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Bravo Italy once again
Italy went with something similar to Marco Mengoni's L'essenziale which I LOVED! I hope this also gets to the top 10 like L'essenziale! I think the chorus to Fai rumore is even better than L'essenziale
In Italy there is a specific song genre called "Sanremo song". This is just like that, slow ballad with a powerful chorus sung with a beautiful voice that usually is brought only during the festival.
These songs sound like old to italian people, but I love them!
P. S. The songs must be in Italian in order to participate
This is the first ACCURATE introduction l hear! Great job ❤️
Fantastic song, great singer, cute guy, winner for me. Hope he speaks English so he can overwhelm us with Italian charm.
I'm confident that he can speak English cause he resided in Sweden before for a songwriting camp and he worked with Swedish House Mafia.
@@RubyChiang did he work in Sweden?
My favorite so far. Go Italy!
The selection is "only" 5 days though ;) and he looks young but he's 37 ;)
daddo10 lol. I meant that on Saturday we had nine selection shows (in Latvia, Sweden, Australia, etc)
@@Wiwibloggs oops, my bad :D
@@Wiwibloggs Born in 1981, so he will be 39 yo this year, not 37...
So many great songs this year, Italy is one of them!
i love suzanne omg
As an Italian I will be very happy if this song will be appreciatedall around Europe. Diodato surely put a lot of feelings in this, and I find the song very emotional and intimate. I don't think we will be on the podium again, to be honest, because power ballads are more appealing to juries and less to televoters. But the most important thing is spreading our music around Europe and making Europe know about our great singers. This is the most important thing and feels like a way, no matter the final result.
Really great song , absolutely in love ❤️
"I Love this Matrix coat" 😅🤣
I can't unsee that now.
Amazing performance. Quality and down to earth.
My favorite so far… Diodato
As Sabrina said, Sanremo came before ESC and it's a massive national festival and the song that wins is not connected with ESC. It's NOT chosen for ESC, it's just a consequence. And to be honest, Italy doesn't win even when it deserves it with hight quality songs, so yeah we will have a classic Italian ballad, we won't win but we wouldn't win either, so at least it's an excellent quality song and Italy will be, again, the only nation singing in its beautiful language.
This reminds me of Greece in 2018 in the sense that I think this is a song that has a deep meaning for the Italian people and for those who get Italian ballads (and for that reason I'm happy it was picked even though aside from the chorus it hasn't gripped me yet). Whether it will perform as strong at Eurovision for a broader public will depend on how many other ballads we get this year, together with how well the staging conveys the message of the song.
They can never be sooo classy!!
Best song ever in esc. It's real music!!! This is what I mean if I would explain to an alien what music is. My winner no need to listen to the others. Healed my heart Italy. Well done ♥️♥️♥️♥️
♥️
I totally agree, David. "Best ever" is not an overstatement in this case.
One of the best voices in the whole contest this year
So happy that Diodato has won, his song was powerful and his beautilful voice and technique are stunning. But my favourite performance was "Ringo Starr" by Pinguini Tattici Nucleari : a fresh and funny song, talking at the same time of a deep theme the "side heroes".
Ragazzi, classe, bella voce e bellissimo testo. Stupendo
STUPENDO! He's so amazing. Thank you for watching.
Your reactions are always informative, honest and well balanced. Bravi! :)
Of all the songs revealed to this point for Rotterdam, Norway's Ulrikke "Attention" had been my favorite by a long shot. This song and performance beat that by a mile.
"You make noise" is the literal translation, but that probably doesn't convey what it does in Italian at all. "You cause turmoil" would be much closer to the idea of the song although it would take away the word play which makes the title meaningful
DIODATO IS A GREAT GIFT TO US ALL,,,,, HIS VOICE IS SUPERSONIC GREAT EXPANSION,,, VELVETY BUT STRONG WITHOUT AN END ,, HIS VOCAL IS LIKE EMBRACING THE HEART OF THE WORLD ,, ITS CALLED LOVE & RECONCILIATION ITS WIDE AND GREAT,, THANK YOU DIODATO,,, FOR BEING YOU,, A SUPERSTAR WE HAVE ALL FALLEN IN LOVE HE IS A SWEETHEART,,,,
I am a happily married man, but I have also fallen in love with Diodato!
Masterpiece
My favorite song of the season so far. It reminds me a lot of Ultimo’s song I Tuoi Particolari from last year’s edition of Sanremo. Beautiful, beautiful song, good luck Antonio!
Thanks for your support from this point onwards!
If RAI and Diodato decided to revamp the song using the Eurovision's 3-minute rule, I hope they won't shorten that beautiful instrumental/break before he repeats the chorus. And please, include the beautiful coda.
it will be very interesting to see how they choose to edit... it could be critical.
Italy 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
He deserved to win. The song is beeeeeautiful! And shout out to Achille Lauro! Such a stage presence! And also to Matteo Faustini, my nicest discovery this week
Like always the perfect comment!
My main concern is that since Duncan won last year with Arcade, which was essentially a ballad, this year many (especially among the juries) will vote for something different, more "fresh" and joyful. I might be wrong, but this is a trend I've noticed every year since I started watching Eurovision back in 2014 (not that long ago, so I might not be 100% correct)..
Also I feel like this song is nowhere near as touching and soulful as Arcade, nor is it powerful/elegant as other "classical" Italian entries like Grande Amore or L'Essenziale...
agree with everything! I don't think the winning song this year will be a ballad either... but we'll see
@@FrassyBhik95 it's not about the lyrics, it's about the vibes, the feelings the song conveys. You could feel the power in Grande Amore, you could feel the elegance and finesse in L'Essenziale, you could feel the anger and despair in Non mi avete fato niente. This doesn't share the same level of emotions...
.... This comment is completely out of any sense 😅😅
@@davidsweden6932 No it's not. Pretty sure an upbeat song will win this year as it will stand out in a sea of ballads this year.
@@sav0001 Yep my thoughts exactly. The only ones saying "this will win" just love anything that Italy sends. If they thought for a second, they'd figure out it's VERY unlikely that it wins, the vibes are way too similar to Duncan's song that won last year. And usually (tell me if I'm wrong) a man wins the year, then a woman, it's has been like this for a while, right?
I have been wanting to learn Italian for some time, but when I see so many comments by Italians saying that the lyrics are very touching and beautiful it makes me want to do so even more! Right now I'm not blown away by the song, surely because I am missing the immediacy of the lyrics. One more reason to learn Italian then!
This song is so good❤
100% winner for the juries. And the overall potential winner.
Hi William I love this song I watched the Sanremo festival on the internet a great show
I have no idea if it will do good but it sure is a very good italian song. Very Classy. I was expecting it to win.
My top 3 was: Diodato, Gabbani, Piero Pelù / Le Vibrazioni.
You are absolutely right when you say we don't vote according to what we think it will do good at ESC.
Kisses from Italy 💜

Best. Love. Song
I like this song and it may do well in Rotterdam..however, I'd say there were far more interesting songs, such as Andromeda by Elodie, Eden by Rancore (who won a special prize for the wording), and Ringo Star by Pinguini Tattici Nucleari (tactical Nuclear Penguins). Even Achille Lauro's performances were so interesting with his references of Saint Francis, Ziggy Stardust, the divine Marquise Casati Stampa and Queen Elizabeth I. Not only a song, but a tale, theatre, a bold way to covey a message of freedom and fluidity, of being who you are regardless the labels (bold for the traditional "old" audience of Sanremo of course). If you all happen to watch Achille's performances, I'd suggest watching ALL perfomarnces: all different, all being and extra step bolder, especially in the relationship with his guitarist Boss Doms.
Honestly, he wasn't on my podium (in no particular order it was: Levante, Le Vibrazioni and Francesco Gabbani with Rancore and Piero Pelù right after) but I admire this artist so much I'm actually greatly happy for him. Beautiful voice, very good songwriting. Cheers from Italy!
All other Esc entries this year are unlistenable. This song is one of the best Esc songs ever, at least for me. If you ask me, this song gets all the votes and other songs get none of them - that's how much I love this song 😀
Beautiful song, my favourite so far. He is not good as Mahmood last year, but it maybe come back to Italy this year. He is very emotional . Good luck Italy

Where is Europe's heart??
This is a really great song

English text:
You know what I think,
That I shouldn't think,
What if I think then I'm an animal
And if I think of you, you are a soul,
But maybe it's this storm
Which brings me to you,
And I know I shouldn't be found
Without an umbrella though
I understand that
However much I run away
I always come back to you
What are you making here,
And I don't know if it does me good,
If your noise suits me,
But make noise yes,
That I can't stand it
This unnatural silence
Between me and you.
And I go around without talking,
With no place to get,
I wear my shoes
And maybe my shoes
They know where to go,
That I find myself in the same places,
Just those places I had to avoid,
And I pretend I don't remember,
And I pretend to forget,
But I understand that,
However much I run away,
I always come back to you
What are you making here,
And I don't know if it does me good,
If your noise suits me,
But make noise yes,
That I can't stand it
This unnatural silence between you and me.
But make noise yes,
That I can't stand it
This unnatural silence,
And I don't want to do without it now
Of that beautiful noise you make
Just like mostly of Italian Eurovision fans I do not agree with Diodato as the Italian entry at the Eurovision BUT we have to think about that he wants to celebrate the Italian music, the Italian tradition and the Italian language. Diodato is going to bring some magic and passion to this festival, something that it miss since long time. This is not a Eurovision's song but hopefully he will touch Europeans heart just with simplicity of the Italian style.
Giacomo Salvatore Thank you for this Italian perspective. It’s very interesting to read!
