Sold me on this machine. I was looking for the porter cable that basically utilizes the same action. My cabinet maker friend continually had problems with his breaking down which I think was due to him not using dust collection. Going to get one ordered today for my kitchen cabinet job.
How easy is it to adjust for other thickness stock?
I need one
Peccato che in Italia non ci sia. Sembra una bella macchina.
is there 230V option?
Nice overview! Cutting the video after the example cut seems a bit disingenuous to to the actual real world results. My tsm 10 seems to leave a little tear out and it would have been nice to see if yours did too. Anyway, keep up the high quality tool building!! Fantastic machines!
Hey Adam, thanks for the comment. If you end up with a little tear out, it could be either due to the bit being used (is it dull? is it the right bit?) or the rate at which you operate the machine. Too slow and it will chew up the stock, too fast and it cold leave the pocket slightly misshaped. The pocket showed after the cut is the example pocket, we have no intention of misleading. Let us know if you have any other questions.
You did not show a bit change
On the wood is seems to contradict what you cut away pieces showed
Its $1500 verses the other guy for $475 thats alot
Hey Thomas, thanks for the comment. Castle proudly makes the TSM-12 in Petaluma, CA, using primarily metal vs plastic: all of our pocket cutters have a superior, robust build. Our machines literally last a lifetime, which is why you rarely see used Castle machines for sale. On the rare occasion that you find a used unit, you’ll see that it sells for almost as much as a brand new one. Castle is the preferred brand of professionals everywhere. The two Bosch routers in the unit machine a pocket and pilot hole in less than 2 seconds with the pull of a lever. The machined pocket and pilot hole are clean and chip free, even in difficult materials such as composites, finished plywood, and melamine. Many TSM-12 customers purchase the Castle because of its durability vs the $475 units, as well as the speed and accuracy that it delivers day after day. Commercial cabinet and furniture shops have been using Castle low-angle professional pockets for over 30 years.
@@castleusa5250 yup the quality of the machine is plainly visible!! 👍 Keep it up Castle!!
The price gap just got bigger. The Castle is now $1,699 and the blue unit is $395. The Castle is a very nice machine, but with a price difference like that, its hard to justify it with that kind of price disparity.
@@DB_- What's the other brand you're referring to?
Who's "the other guy" ?
Extremely noisy not worth
