I think, in Yujin's situation, she was probably overwhelmed and intimidated about performing alone and taking on this challenge without her fellow CLC members. I'm confident that she'll do well in her Bubble Pop performance. I'm sure she was also shocked about the situation with Fu Yaning and it could've made her more nervous to go up and perform alone. Yujin is super sweet and very professional. As a Cheshire, I'm so happy to see her get an opportunity to showcase her skills, and I hope the show is a good experience for her. I knew Mnet would take advantage of her being on the show, but putting a backstage crying scene as a cliffhanger was very annoying for me

Hikaru absolutely slayed Boombayah!! She is one of my top picks and she absolutely deserves to be a center. She has everything that is required to be an idol. She has charisma, amazing rapping, and awesome dancing skills. I’m also glad that she wanted to break the stereotype of typical Japanese idols.
She is not pretty and quite short. But if her skills can make up for those, she will stand out. Right now I am not impressed.

Idk why people hating on her for me she could be the #1 and same with the Koreans I know that Kpop is them like they said and think the that Japoneses wouldn’t do the well only because they saw produce 48, I think they didn’t put the much attention to the program the Japoneses didn’t have 3 years of training and they don’t get it when the debut ( I think) but when they have the correct training they just good or better them some Korean trainees

The thing is literally almost ALL the girls are extremely talented, and I feel like this is gonna be a tight tight race and we have to see the girls do different concepts
The system of cells getting eliminated together is so spicy🤭 It makes it that much more important who the top 9 girls pick as their team mates (it reminds me of the stress of picking sports teams at school, but x 10000😅)

I'm so proud of Yujin! her response to Ya Ning was so mature, she knows her worth and doesnt have to stoop down to her level! I am so excited for her bubble pop cover! I hope her tears are happy or like iverwhelmed but at least good. I am so excited to watch the rest of GP999 i really hope it doesnt turn out as dissapointing as other mnet survival shows!
As yu jin supporter I don't see fu yaning being rude as much as you guys claim her to be. I pretty much think that it was scripted as the judges were pressuring her to say something and on top of that, some of the stuff that she said wasn't that deep and even Yujin cheered for her. At the end of the day do you see anyone performing clc songs in a famous Korean show? she made Yujin the hero of the story by just saying that, so I don't think she deserves that much hate but since kpop stans are obsessed with the idea of having someone to hate on and compare their faves with, I see why they made her the bad guy.
I think its more of the disrespect than the diss rap.....this show is not scripted....the contestants are responsible for what they say.....tht rap was I think fu yaning trying to be sassy and cool....but it just came out rude....but more than tht the comment of doing better than the original is wht set people off....tht too infront of the original artist....and also when yujin entered the stage...the contestants were commenting abt her ....abt how they are looking forward to her....but fu yaning said smthng along the lines of I don't understand.....basically in the context tht I don't understand whts the big hype abt her......all of this just made people very disappointed ig

Omg preach! It’s so annoying to see all the hate towards Fu Yaning under every video that includes her! The kpop fan youngsters need to grow up and see through the reality tv bs and editing.
I honestly don't see the disrespect which everyone sees in this situation. She was literally *asked* to say something to yujin and she did. It's part of her fierce persona, she even explained that she wanted to hype her team to do that(but that flies over everyone's heads). You guys don't know actual dissing.
I personally think that maybe Fu yaning is not a bad person, but she totally messed up. I think she only did it because she took "fierceness" way too far, and her intention may have not been being disrespectful towards Yujin, but showing self-confidence and fierceness to give an impact of "here I am, here we are", but, again, she took it too far. I think you can (and you should) be fierce and confident without dissing others, so she messed up, especially by being arrogant with that "we can do better than the original", which is never a good comment to make, mostly if the original artist is there... Besides, her facial expressions also didn't help because they made her look more "intense" in the criticisim... Well, to sum up, I think she could've played a role there and she's not entirely like that, but she made a bad mistake in her reputation by dissing a senior...

And, about other stuff, I liked most of the performances ❤️ but Kick It, Black Mamba and Pop stars take the podium for me! And I thought the same as you, I saw very great performers and dancers in all groups, but not really power vocalists... I hope there's more to see of them, or more vocalists in the next performances! I honestly feel like the judges egged Fu Yanning to answer how she did. They're literally asking if she can compare. I think what went wrong was she didn't know how to answer professionally so she cracked under pressure.
They 100% set her up for that and kept pushing her, you could see she was clearly a bit uncomfortable with those questions but she couldn't not say anything
Still, if that was the case, she could’ve literally said anything else. I know it wouldn’t have been something like “it’s an honor to perform your song”-totally not, but definitely not something like she had said.

@@Firefly14100 I saw this video of her performing with two other girls from a year ago. Someone in the audience mentions “girl with ____ is fierce” (which was Yaning. I’m guessing she’s also trying to create a persona for herself. Who knows if she’s actually like this.
@@gwennvy Since it's only been one episode so far, I am trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. I do hope that it is somekind of facade or persona she's giving herself.
I was really impressed with the Kick It, Boombayah and Crazy performances. But overall, all of the contestants did well and I hope they will all reach their dreams 💖

In terms of editing I couldn't help notice how they showed off a bunch of K groups and J groups all in a row and kept commenting on how good and talented they were and how they were so amazing, then did a montage of C groups going with the judges saying nothing but bad things about them, then they cut to Ya Ning who's definitely made herself (or prompted to be) into a villainous "character". Maybe there will be more glowing praise for the C groups next week, but as it stands they sorta painted the C group trainees as mid-tier with all the other trainees miles ahead of them.

Yes, I noticed that too. Maybe it's because the Korean audience hold political judgment and are somewhat xenophobic against Chinese. So mnet is using them as a pincushion for dramas and making them look bad on purpose....

On the topic of Hikaru, i remembered seeing one of the "crazy" girls commenting on how if she was a Korean trainee, she'd have been in 5th place not first, which uh, that's some confidence you've got there. (Not to say I think the girl is mean or anything, but it was pretty interesting to see how much confidence some of the K-group members had).
After what past contestants of MNet's realities have said, all the controversies around Produce, and how it was obvious they wanted to make us see C-Group as even less talented than what they made japanese members in P48, what I don't understand is why people are automatically saying Yaning won't work well in a group bc she's mean, when it's pretty likely the show's producers themselves told her to diss her to show her fierceness like in SMTM. I know, it's her choice, but in some countries this is not bad, but just teasing. Yaning was literally the leader of this group, and every girl there trusted her, so I really doubt she has any kind of difficulty with being in a group. Both Yaning and Yujin were in my favorite trainees of episode one, talent talking, so I think it's unfair to bury her career, when we all know who the biggest evil here is.
I'm rooting for yujin the fact shes had to endured all the mistreatment with cube for 6 years and knowing this could be her last chance at redebuting

mnet is at it again look how they edited tiffany and sunmi's reaction to what yaning said in the trailer, which is very far from the ep1, the judges look really satisfied with her confident and all of them are shocked but at the same time smiling it is really far from what mnet edited in the trailer which is showing the judges poker face, the judges even said it look like show me the money, through mnet editing some people think too much of the situation, Seems like mnet wants to sabotage some foreign trainee but they have the audacity to promote their show in china through Iqiyi mnet is really disgusting even kpop idols is also a victim of their evil editing bet ya'll kpop fans knows this
4:25 Not sure if the korean subs said anything different but iqiyi's eng subs said "idk what they mean" when she actually said "mm i didnt really feel anything." This interview response was placed right after yujin's comments on the Helicopter perf and kgirls praising her, which makes it seem like shes saying shes unimpressed with yujin or something. But I feel this was a good opportunity for an evil edit. Cuz from the way she worded it, the question mnet couldve likely asked was "did u feel pressured performing in front of the og artist" "how did u feel during your perf" "were u nervous" etc. Otherwise it would be a pretty odd response to a question like "how did u feel about yujin's praise/comments" like mnet wanted us to think

Nah the backstage crying scene was the same thing that they did to Sakura in PD48. A lot of the trainees will have bruised/bandaged feet from practicing dancing a lot so that didn't look like pain at all. She probably just got emotional from being on stage or performing again, or even from receiving praise and being given a Top9 candidacy
All I wanna say is Shen Xiaoting is the next it girl and I can't wait 😁

My thing with Ya Ning is that shes EXTREMELY talented but she CHOSE to do a clc cover (even if they didn’t they are still doing HER song) and that’s why her whole demeanor is hypocritical to me, hopefully next episode is different bc I know for a fact mnet is now going to eat this one sided rivalry up and extend it. But I love yujin for handling it the way she did because she knows how damaging a simple response can look for idols
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with her choosing a clc cover, it’s the fact she did a clc cover then acted disrespectful towards Yujin. Idk if nerves were getting to her and that’s why, but it was a dumb move on her part for sure

The Yaning - Yujin situation is not even that bad. Yall making it sound worse than it was. The girl was outspoken and overconfident, such a fresh air to the Korean way of boot licking your way up. It was obvious it was part of her "act". I'll be voting for her all she lasts. She is talented.

Overall I feel like everyone can dance really well but vocals.... not everyone. Like in the fancy performance and stuff they were all synchronised and it was really good but the vocals were super messy except for one girl who I'm really rooting for. My vote is going for the best vocalists cause everyone dances well lmao

I don't hate Yaning like how people are shitting on her since I know all of those are just her gimmick. What I hate about it is her bitch-wannabe attitude felt hella forced that it's really cringey at this point. I don't know, maybe it's just me.
I also share the same top picks but Chen Hsin Wei really stuck on me throughout. Though she didn't do too well in their performance (Rumor)*, I found her very charming and funny.

i honestly don't think fyn had bad intentions at all, I think she just took the fierce thing way too far and wanted to look like intimidating competition to the other contestants. In ywy2 she seemed super nice and very humble which makes me think she's just trying to take on a different attitude coming into this competition. I also feel bad for wen zhe (the one that sang the poor vocals) since she popped off in ywy2 and got eliminated way too early imo.
Gurl attitude is one of the most core value for an idol. Do you really think korean who is already xenophobic and hating chinese idols who are already in the idol scene will let her debut with that attitude. The answer is no. She might be the most talented but we all know in mnets series like these talent doesnt guarantee you to debut. And to have a attitude like this is just asking to be eleminated earlier on. I dont think mnet is stupif enough to ask her to diss yujin. She herself have already lots of controversies. Which will not be good for the debut group. So she really has slim chance right now.
@@masakazuhiruko550 I completely agree, attitude is a key element in succeeding in becoming an idol, and as I said she took this whole intimidating attitude way too far. I still don't think she had bad intentions or intended to try to make yujin look bad, however, it was a very poor choice of behaviour and I'm surprised that she didn't realise that trying to intimidate an idol would be a bad move in the eyes of the audience. We see 2 hours of everything that happens once a week, and it is very clear that we miss many interactions behind the scenes between the trainees, and yujin took what fu yaning said very well and stood her ground and then had a great performance.

lol if Yaning debuts idk man. Plus her group did not do that well, and her attitude is gonna drag down any group she's in, like sis why are you there. Can mnet re-up Unpretty rapstar so she can be "herself" there
With how the voting works, I doubt that she gets a lot of supports from Korean fans. Without the korean fans/votes, there's no way, she can get high rank. Only 50% votes is not sufficient to her. Trainees that will get 30-40% int-votes and probably 25-30% k-votes will have high chances in the top9. If mnet didn't divide the votings like this, yes, she may be able to debut.

i really love the 3 members from each “planet” as it gives a fair chance for each planet to get to the final 9. I think Yujin is fine in the since of performance. I think the judges probably said something to her that made her get emotional since she is currently overwhelmed with not being with her CLC sisters. I am rooting for her and hope she makes it to the debut line.
I'm beginning to feel bad for Fu Yaning. I watched the show and actually Sunmi particularly seemed impressed by her confidence, even in regards to Yujin. And when Yujin actually performed Yaning complimented her. I wasn't particularly impressed by her remarks, myself, but given other factors such as her complimenting Yujin's performance, her own individual performance being solid enough to be a TOP9 candidate in the first show, and the recognition the other Chinese girls seemed to show her before her performance began must account for something. What's more, the other masters also seemed impressed with her confidence.
Furthermore we all know how sly Mnet is with its editing, why would anyone just presume what you see is exactly what occurred on these shows? Mnet's narrative is actually very obvious to observe. Another example is when Ezaki Hikaru chose her new cell, they made it seem like she was betraying her former cell...mates? lol Anyway obviously she didn't owe the previous members anything and that much is clear for the audience to see. We also don't know whether mnet took any of Yaning's quotes out of context when she was sitting alone and giving answers. Of course if you just don't like Yaning or someone else's personality that's up to you (again, I think she's okay but not my top 9) all I ask is that people try to watch these shows more objectively so they aren't so easily swayed by evil editing and mnet narrative. Not just for the girls that mnet MIGHT be doing dirty, but also for yourselves, since I know a lot of you are quite emotionally invested in these shows and kpop, it's not fair on yourselves to drain your energy like that. Best thing to do is to just vote for your favourites and enjoy the show as much as you can ^.^ Besides, there's already far too much bullying in the kpop community, whether it be towards idols, trainees, fans, normies, or content creators.
I tend to think it best to give people the benefit of the doubt. If it is a genuinely bad attitude, it'll be noted by other contestants and possibly observed in their body language, but in this show I wouldn't take anything with more than a grain of salt. Plus, it does concern me how quick the kpop community jumps on the bandwagon, whether it be to support or hate a person. Does Yaning having a bad attitude excuse the amount of hate she has likely been receiving, which we all know often leads to mental health issues? I don't think anyone deserves that. By all means, criticise constructively, but I don't think it's conducive to any party involved to be hateful.

Well if one person from the cell gets eliminated then the whole group will get eliminated as well. If u are in the top 9 candidate I think u can pick a new cell members or stay the same (idk if that's right)

Don't disregard the fact that each contestant came from 4 cultures (western, i think so). We can't deny that there will be a conflict in terms of their actions. I know some of you will say this one is in Korea, she should know well their culture. Yes, they should adapt korean culture but most of them only knows the basics.

Also I am kinda glad that they skip showing the whole process of selecting the centres and the series is directly going to start from the first mission

so many things coming on 13th august,bella poarch's new song,the teaser for red velvet's m/v,the voting poll opening,and one more thing:u need to have standard pass in viki to see blue birthday episodes,so i'm not using viki to watch blue birthday,i'm watching it on a youtube channel,so she/he will upload the 7th episode on 13th august and the 8th episode on 14th august
i think yaning thinks she looks super cool if she acts rude. and she definitely has a thing for yujin (yaning probably feels intimidated by yujin and her way to solve that is attacking her 😭) but mnet absolutely LOVES this and will foment this one sided shade to get views. in conclusion yaning get a job and learn to shine supporting other girls and not tearing them down, mnet be normal for once and yujin my beloved keep shining

Fuyaning gets my vote for being down to earth. The show is essentially a vocal/dance/visual competition so are they not allowed to recognize their own strengths? Is anybody else not tired of fake modesty from idols? It’s not like she bashed the group, she just wants to win like everybody else.

I can agree that Chinese and Japanese trainees/idols can do just as well as Korean trainees/idols but judging by this first round of performances, all the girls can dance but their vocals need work. I’m basically rooting for all the debuted idols and some others

She didn't get skipped in episode 1, her performance will be next week, it might still get montaged but it wasn't skipped yet
overall ep1 was great, it's just that they skip some of the performances maybe bcoz there's not much happening and just masters evaluating, but i wanna know more what the masters think of the rest of the girls' performance on ep1 coz they uploaded all of the performances including the ones that are not highlighted in ep1 on mnet k-pop's yt channel.

Fu Ya Ning has skills for sure, I’m just not sure if she would suit a girl group for Girls Planet 999… she would be much better off as a solo artist, because she has a presence that demands attention, as said by the other members. Not to mention her controversy even now on Girls Planet, albeit not accurately translated, might cause trouble for the final line-up. Personally Yujin is talented enough to make it to the final group due to her excellent dance skills and stable vocals, not to mention her well-deserved popularity and stunning visuals. There’ll likely be constant comparison between the two, like how Iz*One Eunbi was continuously compared to Iz*One Chaeyeon in terms of dance dating from Pre-debut to Disbandment.

Jeez dragging someone down in order to lift you and your group is not good at all. There are other ways to make your group confident and powerful but the thing she did ain't it. I hope she reflected and apologized to Yujin backstage

Ya Ning is talented but I'm not sure if she can get along with any group if her attitude is like that. It's too early to judge but I really hope she's not like that. Her performance was good.
...yeah, it was 100% MNET evil editing. So this is what they do in reality shows. They tell contestants to say something dramatic or controversial for more screen time lol they also tell them to react like this or that (Jessica Lee outlined this in her vlog about Idol school participation) so they can use it as reaction to wihchever video they want. Remember when Jo Yuri hit the high note in the recording booth and everyone was so amazed? Yeah, it was actually Gyuri who did as Yuri's legs appeared in the reaction videos lmao MNET edits to boost their faves and turn someone into a villain for views. I mean, this is pretty common in "reality" shows. You want to see someone be a bitch in reality shows? Look for behind the scenes :D

Ok but for me I don't see what yaning did was rude she seemed to just have confidence but when she says that she doesn't see the professional stuff that's straight rude. Like Yujin is a debuted artist from one of the top kpop companies like, and japensse number 1 is so good like peridot.
My top 9 is #1 Japanese, stable girl from fancy performance, Kim Do ah, bahhiyah huning, and baby monster girls. My top number one is the Japanese girl tho, so much confidence like girl killed the stage.
I think the cell thing is dumb cause like having the responsibility of not only ur debut but 2 other people's. This should be a individual contest.
I also thought there were gonna be 12 people to debut. Maybe they made 9 cause it's a permanent group.
The "professional" comment is from an interview in the back so that could easily be manipulated so I wouldn't trust that since we have no idea what question they asked her where she gave that answer

IMO, I think yujin might just be crying bc she did really well and was praised by the mentors instead of being in pain. Even before she got on stage, she was talking about being insecure and buckling under pressure, so I think she was just overwhelmed by her emotions after doing well. But idk tho, well just have to see what happens.

I think its weird af that Fu Ya Ning would diss Yujin for many reasons but imagine if they both were to end up in the debut group together there would definitely be some tension. I hope that her attitude changes as the show continues but either way I don't think I could vote for her cell. She left a bad first impression for me personally. I think its okay to be fierce and confident but in my opinion she didn't come across that way. For me I thought she seemed jealous or envious. At first when the mentors asked her about performing CLC Helicopter and she said she was confident performing it I thought that was okay, but then she had to add that she could perform it better and I thought that it was unnecessary and a bit disrespectful. Some of the trainees seemed shocked but I also thought there were some trainees that she might have rubbed the wrong way by the way they reacted to what she said. I have some that caught my attention but I want to wait until next week to see the rest of the performances before I decide which trainees I like, especially since they might rearrange their cells.

If you think the girls vocals are bad, then you have been spoilt by sound editing and backing tracks on so called 'live' shows. If you have even debuted idol singing live with no assistance, you will know some of these are not that bad. They are mostly on par with the non main vocals of active groups. Basically, singing and dancing at the same time is notoriously hard, thats why music shows allows the idol to pre-record their vocals.
Producers set Yanning up for this. She was so upset after it happened.

I think yaning is not that stupid, she knows Yujin is from clc, she got lots of fans. If she really doesn’t like yujin, I don’t think she would show up. I think that just Mnent wanna some topics. Just my own opinion.
