I was so mad about the super chats I kept seeing yaning Stan’s get riled up over nothing they hit arrogant and stopped voting bc of her high rank and even then she was evil edited a lot and k votes were prioritized over international votes if anyone was angry don’t blame the girls Kai’s sis was not in my top pic at all I honestly thought she was unpolished at first but I grew to see how professional and stable she was constantly amazing me but even then I voted bora she still had a huge fan base cause many ppl that didn’t like the idea of this show ended up supporting her so the hate towards her made me feel so bad for her she doesn’t control who votes for her none of them do but it’s not fair any (justice for c group contestants)

I think cherry bullet made a very good move to appear on the show regardless, I'll be paying way more attention to their comebacks now. And who knows there's a chance it could do better than kep1er even
I'm just so heartbroken for Yurina/Xiaoting. They were at the top for the ENTIRE SHOW, became best friends and consistently performed well, only for Xiaoting to be last place, the only Chinese contestant, and Yurina who said this might be her last chance at debut, given all that hope and reassurance this entire time, was 14th place. It's just horrible. My heart hurts so much for Bahi too, because we all know the rest of her entire career she will get ripped to shreds about her background. Besides that, I am pretty satisfied with the lineup, the name Kepler is actually pretty cute I just hate that they put a 1 in it just ew lmao. I'm just know for a fact that Yurina is currently recieving a million love calls from different agencies in Korea and Japan so hopefully she doesn't give up because I will be right there waiting for her (praying that by some miracle HYBE puts her with Sakura and Chae that would be awesome but it's not gonna happen rip)

Honestly I think Xiaoting is more frustrated about the other Chinese members, especially Su Ruiqi not making it. They know each other for Chuang 2020 and they even live in the same city.

Bora actually benefited from the program, she went from being the least popular to the most popular member, hopefully they stick and cherry bullet succeeds and gets the long overdue success they deserve
CaiBing is in her mid 20's. The show could have been her last opportunity. Girl was in the top 9, until the edits one episode, then dropped dead last in the next round ranking. Lot of edits against the C-girls. Lack of screen time on the J girls. Some of the contestants later revealed that on the days of shoot; many of them been up 30 hours straight with no sleep. 12 hours with no food or water. Then expected to perform well on stage.
Honestly i feel bad for the k group girls for getting unnecessary hate towards THEMSELVES even though its Mnet that did those suspicious biased edits NO ONE FUCKING BENEFITED FROM THAT SHIT EDIT FUCK MNET
Mnet also decided the songs for every contestant for the demo stage. When I watched the first two episodes I really liked the C and J trainees stage presence and how they kept performing even after having voice cracks but I thought they chose the wrong songs trying hard to impress the judges by doing those crazy high notes. The K trainees mostly performed the songs that showed their capabilities well. But now I understand why. Mnet already decided every contestant's first impression. They wanted to make only the K trainees look talented with the exception of a few J and C trainees.

The skill gap among K and J contestants in PD48 was glaring, so understandable. But on this show, the skills were closer. The 2J and 1C in the official lineup are in #7,#8,#9 spots, the bottom of the top 9. At least they climbed since in the interim results. Final lineup with points of EP12. Chaehyun (k) - 1,081k Bahiyyih (k) - 923k Yujin (k) - 915k Dayeon (k) - 885k Youngeun (k) - 781k Yeseo (k) - 770k Hikaru (j) - 713k Mashiro (j) - 708k Xiaoting (c) - 700k If they strictly go by number of votes instead, the final 9 would have been: 4k 3c 2j (instead of 6k 1c 2j) 1. Bahiyyih (k) - 525k 2. Mashiro (j) - 488k 3. Yongeun (k) - 442k 4. Yujin (k) - 428k 5. Xiaoting (c) - 425k 6. Yaning (c) - 419k 7. Ruiqi (c) - 418k 8. Hikaru (j) - 387k 9. Final thoughts: I’m not liking the way XiaoTing was built up and then tear down after being one of the faces of the show. Looking at her dance résumé, she’s world class. To be frank, this show doesn’t deserve her. When the host called her name, she looked a mix of being underwhelmed, disappointed, relief and sad. Still gave a respectful speech to end the final episode with class.
you said this now, but when pd48 aired, most of ifans blazed the K- girls bcs they weren't as charming as the 48 girls and keep making excuses about the lack of skill the j trainees had, when the reality was the K-girls were still trainees while the 48 girls were seasoned performers. If ifans were given the power to vote on pd48, the lineup for izone would be messier, would fill with more skill-less girls, while much of the talented trainees would have gone in the first 2 rounds. Wonyoung certainly would not be the center given how much hate she got internationally when she was just 13.

It's the other people who votes Yurina before when it is still K:C:J voting system but now it is a one pick vote, Knetz would vote K group more and some said Jnetz hate Yurina. She is famous in Global votings but people didn't pay attention much to her. Like the video said, Suyeon,Guinn Myah and Rui Qi drops while Xiaoting, Ezaki and Mashiro came up after their fanbases seeing them drops in interim rankings
My thing is why advertise the group as being global/compromising of more Chinese and Japanese trainees than what actually ended up happening, being 6/9 Korean like a typical Korean girl group? Also, how are you going to have a global girl group decided when the Korean votes carry more weight and we can't guarantee anyone from J or C group will end up debuting in the group...it's a recipe for a mostly K-group final debut team!
right! like I get its Kpop, but the whole point, the whole marketing ish was based on 33 girls from each country, I think they should have kept a 3-3-3 ratio in the end that would have been fair, and something different, the way they set up the voting was sus to me I feel like a lot of internationals vote after the lives, so naturally the votes during the live would be more Korean biased and they doubled at that, either way they should have kept the ratio, 3 is such a golden number too
It's awful. I don't know why they didn't make the individual voting be equal distribution i.e. you HAVE to vote for one c, j and k contestant. We know why they didnt do this. They were afraid a fully equal group would be shunned and they wouldn't make as much money.
Honestly, the interim rankings was a wake up call for a lot of fans including me. I mistakenly believed my top picks were guaranteed debut only to see they dropped out of the top 9. I spent my first couple of votes on other picks, but I definitely jumped back to voting for hikaru and xiaoting once I saw they weren't in the top 9 at first. Truthfully if we didn't see that, I don't think we would have seen anyone from j or c group in the lineup. I think Mnet really should have put a fixed amount of girls from each group for this lineup. Like you said Kepler is just a typical kpop group with a few foreigners, definitely not the "global girl group" they kept advertising.

Orrr, mnet could have allowed us to vote for our 9 PICKS! They are not trying to debut a SOLO artist, but a girl GROUP. We could have chosen more girls to save! I was so confused who to pick everyday, but obviously, for the solo stans, it was very easy, not caring for the whole group's lineup, just one girl's safety. Can't blame then tho, that's what mnet wanted.
It’s sad how some people are saying they are worried that Xiaoting’s gonna be “bullied” by the other Kepler members because she’s the only Chinese member, while at the same time sending hate messages to Bahiyyih.
I don't think ppl r worried about the other girls bullying xiaoting... it's that foreign (especially chinese) kpop idols historically get mistreated in their groups compared to Korean idols (and ofc we saw this in the show already too, since the c girls said they were treated worse than the other girls)... if there were 2 c girls, they would at least have some solidarity and xiaoting would have someone she could rely on even in a foreign country... but now she's basically left on her own with no one who can fully understand her in the group 😔

I agree, you can absolutely tell that Mnet couldn’t rig anything, so instead they manipulate the viewers into believing whatever they want…you can tell they didn’t like bahiyyih, they released the interim voting results because they didn’t like the lineup and wanted us to see who needs to be voted for.
I also really hate how they made Korean votes so much more powerful, like Ofc they are going to vote for Korean trainees. It’s a GLOBAL group where the votes from around the globe aren’t equal.

Ngl I'm pretty sure Bahiyyih would have been the trainee they gave the massive improvement arc to if mnet had given her any screentime. Like the massive improvement that she has made from her first stage to now (ppl love ragging on and on about her expressions but from ice cream stage onwards her expressions have always understood the assignment) is insane. Her vocals have always been stable as well as her dancing actually being pretty good technically and fluidity wise, but ppl keep like to dismiss her and her talents because they love to hate her. She has constantly has had vocal 2 or 3 in the stages and hasn't had any drama or shown to have struggled (due to msnake editing), she obviously works just as hard as all the other girls and 100% deserves to debut (like all the girls on the show do). The hate she keeps getting, I'm worried for her and her mental health. I hope she doesn't get to affected by it all.
Jin goo said that she had improved a lot but thing is mnet didn't show us that. They didn't show her process like they did the other members in Kep1er. If she had screen time and we saw how she tried out for her parts and she improved people would have said she's ready. The reason why people were shocked was bc they never saw her in the show bc the girl barely had screen time.

Some people have argued they announced the interim check because mnet didn't want this final lineup either, but still? They could have easily seen this coming based on their shenanigans. Why would they evil edit so many Chinese contestants? Why would they not give any screentime to Japanese contestants? Why did they use this weird voting system that Korean votes count so much more compared to the international votes? Even though mnet didn't do any rigging, they still did so many manipulation tactics. edit: everyone is making some good points in the comments! Maybe I was also a bit naive in thinking about this since mnet probably didn't want too many foreigners in the group in the first place. But what I meant was that it is a bit weird that mnet wouldn't have seen the interim results coming based on all the shit they did, and that is what was kind of iffy for me :/
This is really naive. For this groups success and to tap into at least some of the J/C fans, they needed at least one of each. Mnet did not want 9K. They COULD NOT have 9K be the debut. They wanted essentially exactly what they got. No one is saying the announced interim results because they wanted the fans to vote in a 3-3-3 ratio. Hell no. They wanted exactly what happened- enough panic votes to get at least 2-3 foreign members at the very bottom of the lineup, as we saw with ranks 7-9. They evil edited everyone else in C group because they wanted only SXT, and they got it.
I was really sad about Shana and Bora, but I'm glad that Yeseo made it because she was one of my top picks. I seen a comment saying that Bahiyyih having a fanbase is mostly due to her brother, and she's only in the group because of toxic k-pop culture. In my opinion, the only thing that's toxic is k-pop fans claiming they care about mental health and then consistently throughout the show sending an enormous amount of hate and death threats to a 17 year old because you don't like that she has a famous brother. From the first episode people found a reason to hate her and while her first performance wasn't the best it definitely wasn't the worst. She's improved a lot throughout the show and even though she wasn't my one pick I only expect her to grow more and I'm looking forward to the girls debut.
Yeah. I mean it's not her fault, she's still working hard. I do get annoyed at these types of situations (famous families getting a leg up due to their circumstance) but that isn't their fault, it's our inequal system.

Ultimately, the issue isn't that Bahiyyih got the spot with the controversy of her brothers fame being the cause. The issue I have with it is that Bahiyyih gains more from being in the group than the group gains from her being in it. She is not ready to debut, and it's so evident. She is stable, but does not show any special charm, is not a main vocalist, main rapper or main dancer, and didn't show any progress during the show at all, she was just always decent. She also doesn't have a personality that brings in new fans. If you replace Bahiyyih with Yurina/Bora/Rui Qi/Yaning/Wen Zhe/Shana/Suyeon, each of them bring something so significant to the group, whereas Bahiyyih doesn't really bring anything special, and that's the problem. She definitely got votes because of who her brother is, and I think it's impossible to deny that. She didn't have any screen time because she's not interesting in front of cameras. Bahiyyih is not ready to debut, she has so much to work on, and would be more capable in a year or 2. The other contestants have more capabilities and more to offer the group, and would fit the group much more than Bahiyyih. Bahiyyih being there just makes her more stressed, her practice harder, and the fans so much angrier about the lineup because others deserved it more at this time. And if you look at it from the "Global girl group" view, Bahiyyih would again be at the top of my list of people to take out of K-group to add another J or C group member.

But at the end of the day, Mnet REALLY fucked up with how they chose to let voting happen, and no one is talking about how the 50% Korea voting vs 50% international voting works - That means if there are 100k votes from Korea, and 200k from international, Mnet has every right in their contracts to choose votes to cut out. It's no surprise that only 1 C-group member made it. At the end of the day, I hope Bahiyyih does good. But she will be a pure outcast on Kep1er, because the skill gap and potential is so low for her compared to other members. Everything she does will be out of place unless they tailor all of their song concepts around her. She will experience, but with a lot more hate, what Yujin did in CLC, where the concept will be very odd for her. Just imagine the potential of this team if they had another strong rapper in there, like Wen Zhe or Rui Qi, or another vocalist like Bora... That would have been so good. Instead we get the travesty that will be Bahiyyih trying to fit in with Xiao Ting, Dayeon and Mashiro, being fantastic all-rounders of every concept and genre.
Honestly Bahiyyih has grown so much from Mr Chu to Shoot, and we should also keep in mind that Bahiyyih has never gotten proper training so there's obviously some things that she needs to learn, so I'm sure as the team grows and when they debute, she would come back with a lot more improvements! I'm just glad Bahiyyih was second rather than first because she would literally get hated on a lot more than she currently is. The criteria of debuting has been clear since the beginning, it's about the votes and she had that, so stop the hate.

I think their main concern is that there is a big gap between Bahiyyih and the other girls in terms of skills: we can't deny that she has improved A LOT from the very first episode, yet, she needs more training. Unfortunately, people are so immature, and keep hating on her when she's following her dream just as the rest of the participants. Yes, I agree since many haters are such hypocrites saying "Bahihiy already has fans and it's so fair" while other contestants have a whole fanbase already. Bahihiy is always very stable in her vocals and her dance is quite clean the masters didn't even say anything negative to her before. I just feel like she should work on her facial expressions more but expect that she deserves everything she got.

Not hating on Bahiyih, but it’s totally different getting prior recognition from YOUR OWN SWEAT and getting recognition just because you happened to be born as a sister of super popular group. Actually, from Knetz opinion are mostly Bahiyih never really showed what she got on her plate (she was just playing safe in every mission. Seriously There have been other girls who weren’t as polished just like Bahiyyih in other survival shows. Look at IZ*ONE for example Minju wasn’t that good but she grew into a capable idol so I believe Bahiyyih can too

If the votes were taken at face value and weren't converted into points, Yaning and Ruiqi would have made it to the line up at 6th and 7th place, respectively. 1-5 would be Bahiyyih, Mashiro, Youngeun, Yujin, Xiaoting (in that order) and 8-9 would be Hikaru & Chaehyun. Yurina still wouldn't have made it regardless because she unfortunately had low votes both in Korea and internationally.

Personally, Bahiyyih wasn't in my Top 9, even though I am a MOA and started watching the show because of her. I think that she is pretty stable. Personally, I see her and someone like Yurina at roughly the same level of skill, although of course they both have different talents and personalities. The reason she wasn't in my Top 9 was because I felt like this wasn't the right place for her to debut. With all the negativity she's getting, it's going to be a lot of pressure on her to do well. I also felt like, since she has a large fanbase and her brother will likely be popular for a while, it would be okay for her if she debuted a bit later. But for some other contestants, this show is their only claim to fame. That being said, I definitely will support the whole of this team, including those who weren't my picks. I'm happy for all of them achieving their goal and hope to see them succeed. Nobody deserves hate for simply existing and trying their best. I don't think I could ever understand why people find it okay to try to tear someone down for no real reason. Regardless of the factors that brought them to the debut team, all the Kep1er members are talented and skilled, and have potential to grow a lot during their debut. I'd say the same about all the 99 contestants-- they all were talented and skilled enough to be on the show, and that's impressive in itself. I hope their hard work pays off with a successful debut.
my thoughts exactly....like i feel it wasnt really necessary for bahiyih to participate in this survival show at all. the way she had literally no screentime but still got 2nd place says enough about her power.
@@rosylatte I think my "ideal" scenario for Bahiyyih's debut would have been if she debuted in something like ITZY-- when the ITZY members debuted, the majority of them already had some popularity, since 4/5 of the members had already appeared in competition shows or other popular K-pop groups' content. I think she would have fit in with a group of members who also already have their own popularity. Of course, Bahiyyih has no control over her family members, and so it's not really her fault that she has this huge fanbase already. But in a scenario where she wasn't the only member who hadn't debuted but was already popular, I think there would be less potential for her to get hate. The popularity of someone like Yujin is justified in many peoples' eyes because she debuted and performed for many years. The popularity of someone like Bahiyyih isn't justified in many peoples' eyes because she hasn't really done work for it. I think she'll bring a lot of attention to Kep1er, whether it's positive people coming to celebrate her debut or otherwise. This wouldn't have been my ideal scenario for her, but I'm sure she'll try her best to prove to others that she deserves her place.

I think the thing that makes me the most disappointed is that even after everything that happened with Produce, Mnet literally didn't change, and if anything got much worse. Now that they can't just rig the votes, they resorted to manipulating the voting system, increased the level of evil-editing and mistranslations (especially for foreigners) & straight up didn't show people unless they fit their narrative. This was exactly like PD48 where the majority of the attention was put on Korean contestants & select Japanese contestants, despite many of the Japanese contestants regularly topping the performance rankings & top 12. I just hope that this show helps many of the girls going forward because they've been able to find/expand fanbases, although as someone who watched PD101 & PD48 I've seen how few of those girls actually hit it big after the shows ended.
But seriously I think the way they present this show makes it more unlikeable each episode. I remembered watching produce from season 1 to 4 and actually feeling happy and liking them more as a group. This time i feel like a lot of people is a solo stan and its honestly not a good thing for group who hasn’t even debut yet.

just some info regarding Ruiqi - she has solo songs out but her company is bankrupt right now and never gave her any promo, not even music videos for her songs. she said herself this was her last chance at debut, and since she gave up doing her college entrance exam to come on GP999, it’s very likely she’s going to focus on going to college when she goes back to China, so we can assume she’ll give up on idol life entirely, at least for now 😪 and also, her “anti Korean” post was a post that her company made her put up, as others from her company posted the exact same thing copy/pasted. so it wasn’t her choice to do that. but i guess Koreans don’t care if it was a genuine post or not because for most of the competition she had the lowest amount of Korean votes and it just kept dropping week by week, which is what made her drop out of top 9. but someone did the math and if the Korean votes hadn’t had a 10x benefit and they were equal to international, she would’ve been in 7th place.
The final lineup is decent, I'm not surprised with how it end, except for the fact that Yurina didn't make it. As for Bahiyyih, I'm actually happy she wasn't number 1, people are already disgusting enough to her in the position she is. She never really caught my eye but she was way better at the O.O.O mission. She deserves a chance too, and if we are being quite honest, this *Hueningkai sister privilege* is not different from what happens to new Big 3 groups or to TXT themselves. If you don't like her, just ignore her. Hating on her won't make your pick join the group.
I mean idols in the big 3 choose to be there and choose to stay to debut (doesn’t justify any hate to them though), Bahiyyih however never chose to be Huening Kai’s sister and it’s not like she should avoid her dream just because she would get “privileges” so hate towards her because of that is extremely unjustified tbh I understand feeling that other trainees are more skilled but it’s not like she asked to be related to him

It really upset me what happened with Chinese contestants, in general, it's not ok. I agree that it was fake advertising and it's not a global group. I think that the final line up is not very cohesive and well measured in therms of positions. However, Xiao Ting made it, Hikaru made it and Chaehyun made it, though it's not how I thought it would be, and it was very unfair overall, my final picks made it, so I'm looking forward to see what they do and how they will be as a group. We needed Bora and Yurina and personally I would have liked to see Wen Zhe in the group too. I just hope that all of the girls that didn't make it find success in their own groups and we'll see debuts too.

@@my_short_food_stories how do i put it... when she started out on the show she's been shown as one of the stiffer trainees (if im not wrong she wasnt trained as an idol), and lets just say compared to other contestants on pd48 she could use more training and polishing. i think many people voted for her bc of her underdog story and her growth on the show. when she made it into izone a lot of people were angry and saying she was a visual pick and she didnt have the skills necessary to keep up with the other members. she was also thrown under the bus for her seeming lack of facial expressions and didnt seem to enjoy performing

BUT SHE IS 17 she has time to grow and to learn to be confident!!!! other girls have been in other survival shows, and they only mention her brother for this but he casts a shadow and that also affects her, why don't you say that too ? she wasn't my favorite, i wasn't rooting for her but I'm happy that she made it and I'm willing to see her grow and flourish

i love chaehyun, she’s always been a top pick for me however, i cant get behind her being center. she deserves all of the votes she received but there’s other girls within the lineup who have such a stronger stage presence than her and would suit that position better. centers need to have a strong aura and she just doesn’t
I don't think P1 will be center. Not omce did they talk about center in the show. In the produce series center was a huge thing and they always talked about it. Even when they announced rank 1 they said 'center of the group'. They didn't say anything for Chaehyun. They always talked about the killing part in the show.

All the people complaining about Bahiyyih not adding anything to the group and the group not being Global. At least if you can’t see her potential can you at least acknowledge the fact that she is the only English Speaker the group has. Talk about global but literally ignore that aspect. I'm actually surprised Hikaru was #7 because in the start of the live, her and Xiaoting were fighting for the 9th spot, she jumped up about 2 or 3 spots with the live voting, her fanbase really came through, she was hanging on a thread but she got 7th place.
I’m disappointed because a lot of talented girls could have easily become part of the 9 but Msnake evil edited or didn’t give enough screen time too. I’m disappointed that shanna didn’t make it she was my bias in the whole show. Idk if I’ll keep up with them just because I don’t have any attachment to any of the 9 girls but if their music is good then I’ll casually listen to them.
Bahiyyih is a perfectly fine performer. Yes I do think she isn't as polished as some of the others that didn't make the lineup and the votes were inflated from MOAs but I'm sure she will continue to grow and be a nice addition to the team. Also on Su Ruiqi, I really thought she was gonna make it. Especially after she just missed the top 9 in the previous ranking, thought the fanbase would push her up into the top 9. But since the Korean vote is worth 50%, she might've made the top 9 number votes wise, but not taking into account the weighting of Korean votes. Think she said this was her last shot an being an idol and she's going to go back to China to study in university.
Right now Kep1er is doing well. Thank you very much again to those planet guardians who vote for my and only favorite contestant Ezaki Hikaru to become a member of Kep1er because if she didn't I will not stan the final group. Kep1er fighting!!!!
I really wished that for the final voting they will make us vote our ideal top9 because this will be fairer and benefit more girls and also so the talents could be more equal. Girls like Xiaoting, Yurina, Mashiro and Hikaru would have benefitted from this style of voting better and these are the girls who have left an impression on a lot of people.
I honestly don't thing Yurina was as popular as people think. A lot of fans voted for her because of the cell system. Also you would be surprised how many moas are not voting for her. I am a moa. I know what my tl looks like and Twitter moas, at least were worried about the very nepotism you speak of. Today many were shitting on TXT and Bahi. Kmoa were at war on their side. I literally ditched Twitter for the day, it was so disgusting. Also why is it that everyone is shitting on her but giving knets racist and disgusting behavior a free pass? They were only planning to have 1 Chinese member in to save face and if you watched the entire episode today, Bahi herself got less than 5 mins of screen time. @@monnaliiza yes they were. The strategies I saw were to keep voting for Yurina as the 1 pick because she was already at the top so it would t require much to keep her there. The individual voting system is what shows who really has the strong fanbase and clear people are not willing to accept that. Many of Bahi's fans were saving up for this very situation to ensure she would make it. They had big plans and they went all out. I applaude them for that.
Something that I would like to adress is that the majority of people that I got the opportunity to get in touch through the program supported Hiyyih not because of her brother, we knew the group but their music isn't our taste, we keep supporting, defending and voting for her because of her kind personality, we notice that in the minimun that mnet showed about her, she gave support to everyone she notice was down, for example miyu, Chen hsin wei, ruan, Myah, yujin and her cell teammates, the girl didn't cry once ( at least not in front of the cameras) she was busy supporting others, TBH, if I were a TXT fan I would had Just vote for her once because I know I would get bored of doing so. This is the first time I watch a survival show, I didn't watch any of the produce series nor didn't Even vote or download anything for My favorite group ( gfriend) when they Made a comeback because I expected other people to do it. But the fact that Hiyyih Made me do all of that, I Just wanted the girl to debut.
My honest opinion on the foreign members: it was the "mercy" of the knetz. I had visited some Korean forums before the finale took place. They were talking about the k contestants whom they were willing to replace with foreign ones just for the sake of the new group's overseas activities in the future aka $$$. International voters didn't have much say. I haven't figured out how Mnet converted the votes to the points yet because no formula was ever given, but I believe one Korean vote carried a significantly greater value than one International vote did. We all know how "patriotic" aka xenophobic they are.
Honestly, I'm gonna say it, it's really unfair for for pre-established idols with fanbases to participate in shows like these. People come to survival shows with hopes of debuting from being unknown. There's millions of other ways to promote an already debuted group or group member. For instance why not participate in a vocal, dance or Rap based competition, why at a survival show which leads to a debut when you're an already debuted idol anyway? I don't hate anyone for anything and I'm happy for the ones who benefitted, but I simply find it unfair. I hope the one's that didn't debut get to debut soon as well cause they probably have more attention now.
I hate how I have been seeing people say they won’t support all the girls in the group only one or two of their picks, I understand it sucks your fav didn’t make it but all the girls worked so hard to get a spot, the put so much into debuting and your just going to go “I’m going to solo stan ____” that’s just rude to all the members who have a dream they finally got filled.
I've seen a lot of people saying they'll be ot8 bc bahiyyih took yurina's place. It's going to take a while but everything will cool down after a few weeks.
Kep1er is great the way they are now. Everyone bashed Bahiyyih but look how she makes the girls so happy especially Hikaru. She's so funny and she's one of those variety stars also. Plus, look at her talent and stage presence now. Mnet did not showcase Hiyyih's capabilities in GP999 and they probably thought they won by ensuring she has less screentime but was shocked at the final results. They can't manipulate it because Hiyyih is in Top 2. If they are going to manipulate it, it will be too risky for them because her ranking is so high. But now, she can show it. Watch their MVSK performance and you'll know what Hiyyih is capable of.

This was the first time I even watched a full episode of a survival show (I cannot bear to even watch these) and tbh I was really disappointed with the lineup, I did not expect the group to only have 2 Japanese and 1 Chinese trainee like come on even Twice has a better ratio than them (so much for a global girlgroup), but we know mnet would really push the korean girls by changing that voting system, they should've kept the 1c 1j 1k voting instead.
to me, te show ended in a really low and honestly tragic note. i don't mean to be dramatic, but this really feels like the bad ending. something doesn't feel right to me. xiaoting ending ninth place, destroyed due to the fact she dropped all the way down, going through a moment of trust and confidence since she's been so consistent in ranking and approved of so many times, and suddenly that bubble being shattered when she went all the way down to ninth. she didn't even seem happy of being called out, she seemed confused, disappointed and just dazed off. only one chinese girl out of 33 girls made it and that was her. her friend yurina who she probably was expecting and dreaming to debut with, even su ruiqi who's good friend of her's. from xiaoting's perspective, this episode must've been a burst into reality, and it must've weighed. xiaorina not debuting together is something that just doesn't sit right with me. i also feel disappointed, yurina and su ruiqi were such amazing standouts, i really thought they were a shoe in and they had so much to offer, the lineup seems lacking to me due to the expectations i had for them debuting. im okay with the lineup but im rather sad, the ending was a bit bitter. i feel like the final lineup doesn't really reflect what the highlights of girls planet 999 were, some of them didn't really show much during the program and it's disappointing to see those who did show a ton not make it. everything just seems upside down to me. i still have high hopes for kep1er and will be expecting amazing quality kpop shit from them, but i can't stop thinking about what it could have been

I'm just so heartbroken for Yurina/Xiaoting. They were at the top for the ENTIRE SHOW, became best friends and consistently performed well, only for Xiaoting to be last place, the only Chinese contestant, and Yurina who said this might be her last chance at debut, given all that hope and reassurance this entire time, was 14th place. It's just horrible. My heart hurts so much for Bahi too, because we all know the rest of her entire career she will get ripped to shreds about her background. Besides that, I am pretty satisfied with the lineup, the name Kepler is actually pretty cute I just hate that they put a 1 in it just ew lmao. I'm just know for a fact that Yurina is currently recieving a million love calls from different agencies in Korea and Japan so hopefully she doesn't give up because I will be right there waiting for her (praying that by some miracle HYBE puts her with Sakura and Chae that would be awesome but it's not gonna happen rip)

CaiBing is in her mid 20's. The show could have been her last opportunity. Girl was in the top 9, until the edits one episode, then dropped dead last in the next round ranking. Lot of edits against the C-girls. Lack of screen time on the J girls.
Some of the contestants later revealed that on the days of shoot; many of them been up 30 hours straight with no sleep. 12 hours with no food or water. Then expected to perform well on stage.

Mnet also decided the songs for every contestant for the demo stage. When I watched the first two episodes I really liked the C and J trainees stage presence and how they kept performing even after having voice cracks but I thought they chose the wrong songs trying hard to impress the judges by doing those crazy high notes. The K trainees mostly performed the songs that showed their capabilities well. But now I understand why. Mnet already decided every contestant's first impression. They wanted to make only the K trainees look talented with the exception of a few J and C trainees.

The skill gap among K and J contestants in PD48 was glaring, so understandable. But on this show, the skills were closer. The 2J and 1C in the official lineup are in #7,#8,#9 spots, the bottom of the top 9. At least they climbed since in the interim results.

I’m not liking the way XiaoTing was built up and then tear down after being one of the faces of the show. Looking at her dance résumé, she’s world class. To be frank, this show doesn’t deserve her. When the host called her name, she looked a mix of being underwhelmed, disappointed, relief and sad. Still gave a respectful speech to end the final episode with class.

If ifans were given the power to vote on pd48, the lineup for izone would be messier, would fill with more skill-less girls, while much of the talented trainees would have gone in the first 2 rounds. Wonyoung certainly would not be the center given how much hate she got internationally when she was just 13.

Honestly, the interim rankings was a wake up call for a lot of fans including me. I mistakenly believed my top picks were guaranteed debut only to see they dropped out of the top 9. I spent my first couple of votes on other picks, but I definitely jumped back to voting for hikaru and xiaoting once I saw they weren't in the top 9 at first. Truthfully if we didn't see that, I don't think we would have seen anyone from j or c group in the lineup.
I think Mnet really should have put a fixed amount of girls from each group for this lineup. Like you said Kepler is just a typical kpop group with a few foreigners, definitely not the "global girl group" they kept advertising.

I don't think ppl r worried about the other girls bullying xiaoting... it's that foreign (especially chinese) kpop idols historically get mistreated in their groups compared to Korean idols (and ofc we saw this in the show already too, since the c girls said they were treated worse than the other girls)... if there were 2 c girls, they would at least have some solidarity and xiaoting would have someone she could rely on even in a foreign country... but now she's basically left on her own with no one who can fully understand her in the group 😔

Ngl I'm pretty sure Bahiyyih would have been the trainee they gave the massive improvement arc to if mnet had given her any screentime. Like the massive improvement that she has made from her first stage to now (ppl love ragging on and on about her expressions but from ice cream stage onwards her expressions have always understood the assignment) is insane. Her vocals have always been stable as well as her dancing actually being pretty good technically and fluidity wise, but ppl keep like to dismiss her and her talents because they love to hate her. She has constantly has had vocal 2 or 3 in the stages and hasn't had any drama or shown to have struggled (due to msnake editing), she obviously works just as hard as all the other girls and 100% deserves to debut (like all the girls on the show do). The hate she keeps getting, I'm worried for her and her mental health. I hope she doesn't get to affected by it all.

Why would they evil edit so many Chinese contestants? Why would they not give any screentime to Japanese contestants? Why did they use this weird voting system that Korean votes count so much more compared to the international votes? Even though mnet didn't do any rigging, they still did so many manipulation tactics.

This is really naive. For this groups success and to tap into at least some of the J/C fans, they needed at least one of each. Mnet did not want 9K. They COULD NOT have 9K be the debut. They wanted essentially exactly what they got. No one is saying the announced interim results because they wanted the fans to vote in a 3-3-3 ratio. Hell no. They wanted exactly what happened- enough panic votes to get at least 2-3 foreign members at the very bottom of the lineup, as we saw with ranks 7-9. They evil edited everyone else in C group because they wanted only SXT, and they got it.

I was really sad about Shana and Bora, but I'm glad that Yeseo made it because she was one of my top picks. I seen a comment saying that Bahiyyih having a fanbase is mostly due to her brother, and she's only in the group because of toxic k-pop culture. In my opinion, the only thing that's toxic is k-pop fans claiming they care about mental health and then consistently throughout the show sending an enormous amount of hate and death threats to a 17 year old because you don't like that she has a famous brother. From the first episode people found a reason to hate her and while her first performance wasn't the best it definitely wasn't the worst. She's improved a lot throughout the show and even though she wasn't my one pick I only expect her to grow more and I'm looking forward to the girls debut.

Ultimately, the issue isn't that Bahiyyih got the spot with the controversy of her brothers fame being the cause. The issue I have with it is that Bahiyyih gains more from being in the group than the group gains from her being in it. She is not ready to debut, and it's so evident. She is stable, but does not show any special charm, is not a main vocalist, main rapper or main dancer, and didn't show any progress during the show at all, she was just always decent. She also doesn't have a personality that brings in new fans.
If you replace Bahiyyih with Yurina/Bora/Rui Qi/Yaning/Wen Zhe/Shana/Suyeon, each of them bring something so significant to the group, whereas Bahiyyih doesn't really bring anything special, and that's the problem. She definitely got votes because of who her brother is, and I think it's impossible to deny that. She didn't have any screen time because she's not interesting in front of cameras.
Bahiyyih is not ready to debut, she has so much to work on, and would be more capable in a year or 2. The other contestants have more capabilities and more to offer the group, and would fit the group much more than Bahiyyih. Bahiyyih being there just makes her more stressed, her practice harder, and the fans so much angrier about the lineup because others deserved it more at this time.
And if you look at it from the "Global girl group" view, Bahiyyih would again be at the top of my list of people to take out of K-group to add another J or C group member.

But at the end of the day, Mnet REALLY fucked up with how they chose to let voting happen, and no one is talking about how the 50% Korea voting vs 50% international voting works - That means if there are 100k votes from Korea, and 200k from international, Mnet has every right in their contracts to choose votes to cut out. It's no surprise that only 1 C-group member made it.
At the end of the day, I hope Bahiyyih does good. But she will be a pure outcast on Kep1er, because the skill gap and potential is so low for her compared to other members. Everything she does will be out of place unless they tailor all of their song concepts around her. She will experience, but with a lot more hate, what Yujin did in CLC, where the concept will be very odd for her.

I think their main concern is that there is a big gap between Bahiyyih and the other girls in terms of skills: we can't deny that she has improved A LOT from the very first episode, yet, she needs more training. Yes, I agree since many haters are such hypocrites saying "Bahihiy already has fans and it's so fair" while other contestants have a whole fanbase already. Bahihiy is always very stable in her vocals and her dance is quite clean the masters didn't even say anything negative to her before. I just feel like she should work on her facial expressions more but expect that she deserves everything she got.

If the votes were taken at face value and weren't converted into points, Yaning and Ruiqi would have made it to the line up at 6th and 7th place, respectively. 1-5 would be Bahiyyih, Mashiro, Youngeun, Yujin, Xiaoting (in that order) and 8-9 would be Hikaru & Chaehyun. Yurina still wouldn't have made it regardless because she unfortunately had low votes both in Korea and internationally.

Personally, Bahiyyih wasn't in my Top 9, even though I am a MOA and started watching the show because of her. I think that she is pretty stable. Personally, I see her and someone like Yurina at roughly the same level of skill, although of course they both have different talents and personalities. The reason she wasn't in my Top 9 was because I felt like this wasn't the right place for her to debut. With all the negativity she's getting, it's going to be a lot of pressure on her to do well. I also felt like, since she has a large fanbase and her brother will likely be popular for a while, it would be okay for her if she debuted a bit later. But for some other contestants, this show is their only claim to fame.
That being said, I definitely will support the whole of this team, including those who weren't my picks. I'm happy for all of them achieving their goal and hope to see them succeed. Nobody deserves hate for simply existing and trying their best. I don't think I could ever understand why people find it okay to try to tear someone down for no real reason. Regardless of the factors that brought them to the debut team, all the Kep1er members are talented and skilled, and have potential to grow a lot during their debut. I'd say the same about all the 99 contestants-- they all were talented and skilled enough to be on the show, and that's impressive in itself. I hope their hard work pays off with a successful debut.

@@rosylatte I think my "ideal" scenario for Bahiyyih's debut would have been if she debuted in something like ITZY-- when the ITZY members debuted, the majority of them already had some popularity, since 4/5 of the members had already appeared in competition shows or other popular K-pop groups' content. I think she would have fit in with a group of members who also already have their own popularity.
Of course, Bahiyyih has no control over her family members, and so it's not really her fault that she has this huge fanbase already. But in a scenario where she wasn't the only member who hadn't debuted but was already popular, I think there would be less potential for her to get hate. The popularity of someone like Yujin is justified in many peoples' eyes because she debuted and performed for many years. The popularity of someone like Bahiyyih isn't justified in many peoples' eyes because she hasn't really done work for it.
I think she'll bring a lot of attention to Kep1er, whether it's positive people coming to celebrate her debut or otherwise. This wouldn't have been my ideal scenario for her, but I'm sure she'll try her best to prove to others that she deserves her place.

i think the gp999 producers asked her to participate to give the show more exposure. tbh i feel bad for bahiyih as she is getting a lot more hate than any other survival show final line ups imo.
I think the thing that makes me the most disappointed is that even after everything that happened with Produce, Mnet literally didn't change, and if anything got much worse. Now that they can't just rig the votes, they resorted to manipulating the voting system, increased the level of evil-editing and mistranslations (especially for foreigners) & straight up didn't show people unless they fit their narrative. This was exactly like PD48 where the majority of the attention was put on Korean contestants & select Japanese contestants, despite many of the Japanese contestants regularly topping the performance rankings & top 12.
I just hope that this show helps many of the girls going forward because they've been able to find/expand fanbases, although as someone who watched PD101 & PD48 I've seen how few of those girls actually hit it big after the shows ended.
But seriously I think the way they present this show makes it more unlikeable each episode. I remembered watching produce from season 1 to 4 and actually feeling happy and liking them more as a group. This time i feel like a lot of people is a solo stan and its honestly not a good thing for group who hasn’t even debut yet.

just some info regarding Ruiqi - she has solo songs out but her company is bankrupt right now and never gave her any promo, not even music videos for her songs. she said herself this was her last chance at debut, and since she gave up doing her college entrance exam to come on GP999, it’s very likely she’s going to focus on going to college when she goes back to China, so we can assume she’ll give up on idol life entirely, at least for now 😪
and also, her “anti Korean” post was a post that her company made her put up, as others from her company posted the exact same thing copy/pasted. so it wasn’t her choice to do that. but i guess Koreans don’t care if it was a genuine post or not because for most of the competition she had the lowest amount of Korean votes and it just kept dropping week by week, which is what made her drop out of top 9. but someone did the math and if the Korean votes hadn’t had a 10x benefit and they were equal to international, she would’ve been in 7th place.

It really upset me what happened with Chinese contestants, in general, it's not ok. I agree that it was fake advertising and it's not a global group. I think that the final line up is not very cohesive and well measured in therms of positions. However, Xiao Ting made it, Hikaru made it and Chaehyun made it, though it's not how I thought it would be, and it was very unfair overall, my final picks made it, so I'm looking forward to see what they do and how they will be as a group. We needed Bora and Yurina and personally I would have liked to see Wen Zhe in the group too. I just hope that all of the girls that didn't make it find success in their own groups and we'll see debuts too.

c'mon guys give Bahiyyih a chance. The results this time weren't rigged but it is still not enough. I understand she may not be among your favs but don't treat her as a mistake. They are kids with dreams and they have all worked hard for it. She is so sweet, kind, and she is a peaceful soul, she never had screen time to show off her talents or win your hearts but now she will. Kindly, don't say you will support 3, 2 or 8 members... support them all because everyone deserves a chance to chase their dreams.

i love chaehyun, she’s always been a top pick for me however, i cant get behind her being center. she deserves all of the votes she received but there’s other girls within the lineup who have such a stronger stage presence than her and would suit that position better. centers need to have a strong aura and she just doesn’t

I don't think P1 will be center. Not omce did they talk about center in the show. In the produce series center was a huge thing and they always talked about it. Even when they announced rank 1 they said 'center of the group'. They didn't say anything for Chaehyun. They always talked about the killing part in the show.

I'm actually surprised Hikaru was #7 because in the start of the live, her and Xiaoting were fighting for the 9th spot, she jumped up about 2 or 3 spots with the live voting, her fanbase really came through, she was hanging on a thread but she got 7th place.
I’m disappointed because a lot of talented girls could have easily become part of the 9 but Msnake evil edited or didn’t give enough screen time too. I’m disappointed that shanna didn’t make it she was my bias in the whole show. Idk if I’ll keep up with them just because I don’t have any attachment to any of the 9 girls but if their music is good then I’ll casually listen to them.

Bahiyyih is a perfectly fine performer. Yes I do think she isn't as polished as some of the others that didn't make the lineup and the votes were inflated from MOAs but I'm sure she will continue to grow and be a nice addition to the team. Also on Su Ruiqi, I really thought she was gonna make it. Especially after she just missed the top 9 in the previous ranking, thought the fanbase would push her up into the top 9. But since the Korean vote is worth 50%, she might've made the top 9 number votes wise, but not taking into account the weighting of Korean votes. Think she said this was her last shot an being an idol and she's going to go back to China to study in university.
Right now Kep1er is doing well.

I really wished that for the final voting they will make us vote our ideal top9 because this will be fairer and benefit more girls and also so the talents could be more equal. Girls like Xiaoting, Yurina, Mashiro and Hikaru would have benefitted from this style of voting better and these are the girls who have left an impression on a lot of people.

I honestly don't thing Yurina was as popular as people think. A lot of fans voted for her because of the cell system. Also you would be surprised how many moas are not voting for her. I am a moa. I know what my tl looks like and Twitter moas, at least were worried about the very nepotism you speak of. Today many were shitting on TXT and Bahi. Kmoa were at war on their side. I literally ditched Twitter for the day, it was so disgusting.
Also why is it that everyone is shitting on her but giving knets racist and disgusting behavior a free pass? They were only planning to have 1 Chinese member in to save face and if you watched the entire episode today, Bahi herself got less than 5 mins of screen time. @@monnaliiza yes they were. The strategies I saw were to keep voting for Yurina as the 1 pick because she was already at the top so it would t require much to keep her there. The individual voting system is what shows who really has the strong fanbase and clear people are not willing to accept that. Many of Bahi's fans were saving up for this very situation to ensure she would make it. They had big plans and they went all out. I applaude them for that.

Something that I would like to adress is that the majority of people that I got the opportunity to get in touch through the program supported Hiyyih not because of her brother, we knew the group but their music isn't our taste, we keep supporting, defending and voting for her because of her kind personality, we notice that in the minimun that mnet showed about her, she gave support to everyone she notice was down, for example miyu, Chen hsin wei, ruan, Myah, yujin and her cell teammates, the girl didn't cry once ( at least not in front of the cameras) she was busy supporting others, TBH, if I were a TXT fan I would had Just vote for her once because I know I would get bored of doing so. This is the first time I watch a survival show, I didn't watch any of the produce series nor didn't Even vote or download anything for My favorite group ( gfriend) when they Made a comeback because I expected other people to do it. But the fact that Hiyyih Made me do all of that, I Just wanted the girl to debut.
My honest opinion on the foreign members: it was the "mercy" of the knetz. I had visited some Korean forums before the finale took place. They were talking about the k contestants whom they were willing to replace with foreign ones just for the sake of the new group's overseas activities in the future aka $$$. International voters didn't have much say. I haven't figured out how Mnet converted the votes to the points yet because no formula was ever given, but I believe one Korean vote carried a significantly greater value than one International vote did. We all know how "patriotic" aka xenophobic they are.

Honestly, I'm gonna say it, it's really unfair for for pre-established idols with fanbases to participate in shows like these. People come to survival shows with hopes of debuting from being unknown. There's millions of other ways to promote an already debuted group or group member. For instance why not participate in a vocal, dance or Rap based competition, why at a survival show which leads to a debut when you're an already debuted idol anyway? I don't hate anyone for anything and I'm happy for the ones who benefitted, but I simply find it unfair. I hope the one's that didn't debut get to debut soon as well cause they probably have more attention now.
I hate how I have been seeing people say they won’t support all the girls in the group only one or two of their picks, I understand it sucks your fav didn’t make it but all the girls worked so hard to get a spot, the put so much into debuting and your just going to go “I’m going to solo stan ____” that’s just rude to all the members who have a dream they finally got filled.

Kep1er is great the way they are now. Everyone bashed Bahiyyih but look how she makes the girls so happy especially Hikaru. She's so funny and she's one of those variety stars also. Plus, look at her talent and stage presence now. Mnet did not showcase Hiyyih's capabilities in GP999 and they probably thought they won by ensuring she has less screentime but was shocked at the final results. They can't manipulate it because Hiyyih is in Top 2. If they are going to manipulate it, it will be too risky for them because her ranking is so high. But now, she can show it. Watch their MVSK performance and you'll know what Hiyyih is capable of.

This was the first time I even watched a full episode of a survival show (I cannot bear to even watch these) and tbh I was really disappointed with the lineup, I did not expect the group to only have 2 Japanese and 1 Chinese trainee like come on even Twice has a better ratio than them (so much for a global girlgroup), but we know mnet would really push the korean girls by changing that voting system, they should've kept the 1c 1j 1k voting instead.

to me, te show ended in a really low and honestly tragic note. i don't mean to be dramatic, but this really feels like the bad ending. something doesn't feel right to me. xiaoting ending ninth place, destroyed due to the fact she dropped all the way down, going through a moment of trust and confidence since she's been so consistent in ranking and approved of so many times, and suddenly that bubble being shattered when she went all the way down to ninth. she didn't even seem happy of being called out, she seemed confused, disappointed and just dazed off. only one chinese girl out of 33 girls made it and that was her. her friend yurina who she probably was expecting and dreaming to debut with, even su ruiqi who's good friend of her's. from xiaoting's perspective, this episode must've been a burst into reality, and it must've weighed. xiaorina not debuting together is something that just doesn't sit right with me.
i also feel disappointed, yurina and su ruiqi were such amazing standouts, i really thought they were a shoe in and they had so much to offer, the lineup seems lacking to me due to the expectations i had for them debuting.
im okay with the lineup but im rather sad, the ending was a bit bitter. i feel like the final lineup doesn't really reflect what the highlights of girls planet 999 were, some of them didn't really show much during the program and it's disappointing to see those who did show a ton not make it. everything just seems upside down to me. i still have high hopes for kep1er and will be expecting amazing quality kpop shit from them, but i can't stop thinking about what it could have been
