I’ve gotten a few comments regarding it, so I’ll answer. No, I won’t be reviewing the Loud House Christmas movie. This was my final video entirely dedicated to the show. It won’t be the last time I talk about the show period, but as far as singular reviews are concerned, this is the final one. Sorry!

If one thing I think the Loud House movie actually does right is it somehow actually manages to make Lynn likable and make her close to her season 1 personality as opposed to using her current personality in which she is a unlikable jerk who only resorts to fart jokes or using her siblings as a punching bag

Now only I found it funny at some points, but all of the time, it was understandable considering you explained your opinions pretty well and it sucks to see those come to an end. I have the same opinion as you when it comes to the movie and modern episodes, and that little montage at the end, capped off with Purrfect Gig, almost made me tear up lol. I still stick to the show because Saluna is really special to me, and yeah I instantly noticed how they just gave her a cameo and forgot about her when “haha we’re gonna move permanently because bathroom lololol”. I don’t think seasons 4&5 are completely awful but it’s a far cry of what the show used to be, even if the golden era still had some stinkers. I’m only somewhat in the fandom but I don’t think that many people really hate you, I give constructive criticism towards the show a lot and thankfully no one has insulted me for it. It’s not necessarily a time waster so I don’t mind watching new episodes even if it’ll only be once per, and ofc the annual Saluna ep as many times till I memorize it. Even if I feel that the ship is attached to a super milquetoast show, both still have a place in my heart no matter what happens.

Wow! This was definitely a fantastic review! Although we all have our own different opinions, people should remember to respect our differences as we can’t all be the same. After hearing what a lot of the fan base thinks of you, I feel so much sympathy for you. All you were doing was telling your honest opinions, and people going nuts on you was wrong. People have to remember that nothing is perfect. SpongeBob isn’t perfect, Loud House isn’t perfect, Nickelodeon as a whole isn’t perfect, but everything has its good moments and if we can enjoy those over the bad, that’s what matters at the end of the day, right? Although I love this movie to the bottom of my heart, I will respect your opinion on it, Yoshi, as you know what they say, “you can’t please everyone.”. Also that ending of you still loving the first three seasons and some episodes of season 4, that warmed my heart. I don’t think of you as a bad person, I think you are a legitimately good person who definitely needs more love than hate. Your opinions matter, and if some can’t handle them, forget about them. You do you, man, and I hope you still have fun with classic Loud House no matter how much time passes, as we must remember, it was legendary and great at one point.

I know a couple ways to fix the movie and make it better.
1.) The inclusion of "One", which you've heard in trailers for "Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage". This wouldn't be sung by Lincoln, but instead, it would've played as a montage type of song in full. It would like Lincoln explaining to Morag how much he hates being overlooked. Some silent clips are original, others use stock footage from older "Loud House" episodes that have Lincoln either pushed around or neglected.
2.) Morag should've died either by Lela eating her, or by having her not be rescued, leaving her to land on the stalagmites by the ocean and have her body impaled upon landing (Fitting for its PG-13 rating). Choose whatever death you think sounds better for her, unless you'd rather have her punished a different way.
3.) The inclusion of the Smash Mouth song, "Hang On" during the second part of the end credits. This song is supposed to be the series' overall message about Lincoln's character arc.
4.) A post-credits scene after the end credits where Bobby is still swimming for the ship the Louds are sailing away in, only for Bobby to be exhausted and losing breath. His final line would be "How big is this ocean?".
I haven't gotten started on my rewrite yet, but those are just the seeds for what I would do.

I may have angrily quit the show after that Season 5 opener that was so bad I was screaming at it and about it the whole time, I found the movie mostly more positive than negative despite the flaws it may or may not have. I don't think the animation in it was that bad. It could've been animated a lot worse. Look at the CGI animation for later seasons of Fireman Sam (notably ones that are animated by Xing Xing Digital), they look like they were animated with technology from the 1980's or Mid-1990's or something for how completely low budget it looks or even the animation for SpongeBob Season 6 for sometimes having characters look off model depending on the episode I'm watching or showcasing some of the worst visuals in the entire show. I like Thomas the Tank Engine still, but I will never like "Misty Island Rescue!" (never again, IMO) or even the All Engines Go! reboot. I like Bob the Builder, but never will I like it's reboot from 2015 that murdered the franchise. I like Tom and Jerry, but I still don't like the Gene Deitch era. I like Team Fortress 2, but not the way how Valve doesn't care for it's own property anymore.
The Loud House Movie is not perfect. But do I think it's as bad as some make it out to be? No because it's not really as bad as "Schooled!" or even "Kings of the Con". Though, to be fair. I do have a few gripes or nitpicks about the film too.

    1. 1600s Lyn and Rita had more kids when they got to America, because the others died at sea, and the parents died soon after
    2. 1600s Lori, Leni or Luna could have had kids when then got to America and died in childbirth (back then, 15-18 year olds had kids more often then, and dying in childbirth was common)

    • @christophersteve427
      @christophersteve427 Před 2 lety +7

If you were to grant me the license to make my own Loud House film, I’d make it a half-reboot, half-prequel. It would wipe the slate clean (or at the very least introduce an alternate continuity) and have a much more inexperienced and intentionally less likable Loud family who over the course of the movie learn to care about each other more and become better kids, specifically with Lincoln properly developing into “the man with the plan”. Much like the show, it’d focus on them dealing with everyday problems taken to crazy levels, but with my film it would be going one step at a time until getting a sort of villain involved, and the hell said villain puts them through forces them to change and work together to get out of it.
If it needs a villain, I’d make them more grounded and a much more serious threat, with their plan being not only driving the Louds out of Royal Woods, but also manipulating them and driving them apart whatever the cost, including taking advantage of their fighting and mean-spirited nature and turning the entire town against them (maybe even murder if you really want to go there).
Just a vague concept, but I felt it’d be interesting to address how unintentionally mean-spirited and unsympathetic these characters can be and actually have the villains use it against them. That, and I feel it makes the most sense to start completely over with a new timeline and a different take on the family that starts out mean, but change and develop into the lovable family from the cartoon.

I was one of the people calling out your sour attitude during your original reviews of the show. If I in any way contributed to the huge backlash against you at the time, or even gave the impression that you were an irredeemable person, I sincerely apologize for that. Opinions are opinions, but it's the way you get them across that matters the most. And at the time, I felt that even when you had good points, your tone and the way you talked about it was very aggressive and even unreasonable at times. Not just with The Loud House, but I also point to your old Fortnite rant as this at its absolute worst.
But, we all make mistakes. And, as a fellow person on the Autism spectrum, I completely understand the difficulty of recognizing how you're coming across. However, this is one of the most important things we need to consider when talking about anything, and sometimes we come off too strong.
With all that said, I do not consider you a toxic person. While I've felt you've gone overboard a handful of times, you always recognize when you do and take steps to be better. And nowhere is that more present than this review, and it might even be my favorite video of yours that you've ever done. Not only is it really funny, but it's proof that you are a good person willing to get better and better at what you do. You are a talented and well-spoken person that I wish nothing but the best for in the future.
On a lighter note, my favorite parts of this review:
4:27 - "And when I say a while, I mean THE REST OF THE FU"
    8:41 - "nO He cAn'T DoN't lIe"
10:49 - "Do you normally laugh at bad humor?" "Yeah! That's why I laugh at you!"
    14:48 - "AYYY DON'T CARE!"
    18:32 - "Oversized bUtToCkS"
18:54 - "It was bound to happen at some point!"
    19:13 - "GAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!"
    21:09 - "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
23:47 - "Why did they make him stupid at the last minute. Why is everyone stupid now. Why do I feel dumber watching this."

I use the show as a basis point for my videos about a dog and a cat from Cork city (Ireland) smoking weed and doing drugs and at the time I was in the prime of making those videos, I was thinking that I was probably the only one on CZcams giving it some justice by making use of it and making it less of a pain in the willy. I had planned at some point to improve the movie by having the dog and cat inserted in there to steal the focus away from how shit the plot is, as the videos are mainly about those two characters going through shit while the characters from the show are simply a backdrop. But seeing as how stupid the copyright shit is for Viacom, I couldn't do it. Bunch of freaks they are.

This was a really introspective review. I enjoyed seeing you reflect on your thoughts on the show and your time in the LH fandom. I admit I did a lot of stupid things when I was LH wiki back in the day, and I'm really sorry if I ever made you feel bad with the things I said. I haven't seen all of your stuff, but you definitely have a lot of interesting things to say and whether I agree with it or not, going forward, I'll respect all of your opinions.
As for the movie, I'd say it's meh. I agree that Lincoln's conflict is forced and contradictory, the big setting it takes place in takes away many of the aspects that made it, and the animation doesn't look that good compared to the actual show. But at least the voice actors are working with what they have, Angus is the best character, and the intro was the best part of the whole movie.
Shame you're not gonna review the live action Christmas movie, because I think it might be Nick's best live action re-imagining to date. Of course, when you consider their previous works, that's not saying much, but the point still stands.

Yeah, this movie did not do the show justice at all. At this point I've completely lost faithof the show ever going back to what it one was in the first 3 Seasons. Apparently this show is gonna get a 6th Season. Well I'm certainly not gonna watch it. The only house I rather look at is the House Of The Owls. Not The Louds. But all in all, aside from my personal preferences, the movie had some potential, but very little of it was being used. Any and all movies have their flaws, but this movie just didn't sit in very well as I hoped for. Even if I was still watching the show, I would still frown apon the movie for how bad the execution of the films plot was. While I left The Loud House Fandom a while ago, we shouldn't let the opinions of others, change our own views of the show or any show. If we like a show, then we like it, if we hate a show than we hate a show. I do feel bad for you Yoshi Player, for what you had gone through. I also have theist fear too. I have the same experience with the show like you do and I do enjoy your videos around the show even one of the episodes you don’t like is unnecessary. But I don’t understand why the fandom attacks you from saying some criticism on the loud house they should understand that if a fan of a show is starting to lose they’re love of the show and stop watching it they stop watching it. But they can share the good memories that had with it. I don’t think your a grumpy guy who keeps bashing on the series you just trying to makes some opinion that everyone can agree or disagree. Dude, it's been a joy to watch you evolve. This video was amazing and had some great funny edits (Lincoln running away with "WAAH" made me choke on my soda lol). But it's really bothering me about how you let those people get you down so bad. If they're not your friends because you have a sensible opinion about how The Loud House isn't what it use to be anymore (or at least some episodes/movies), then they were never your friends to begin with. The fandom can be insane, moreso than most other cartoon fandoms I've ever been apart of, and I think the blind love for the show is doing more harm than good for the fandom AND the show itself. You weren't out there trolling people or posting mean Tweets that mocked your friends/the fans, you were just disappointed. It makes me so angry how damaging fandoms can be for people's mental health. I hope you found peace by making this great review though. (Also love the montage at the end.)
