- Welcome to my big return to review every episode of The Loud House ever! After my semi-retirement from the show when Season 3 wrapped up, it remained unclear whether or not I was going to continue reviewing every episode of the show. But after a long break, I decided to continue this project that I swore I would finish. Here, we tackle every episode (50!!!) in the fourth season. Which one will arrive to the top floor, and which one goes deep underground? Will or won't this be better than the worst of Season 3? Find out in this long but eventful journey!

This season was full of pleasant and unpleasant surprises. We had garbage Luna and Lori episodes, really fun Lynn and Lisa episodes, them mentioning death, and who could forget them taking a chunk of the season for a Casagrandes ‘story arc’.

Yeah, I miss that time.
I think the biggest problem with modern loud house is it's lack of focus. The show is supposed to be about Lincoln interacting with his sister's. We're getting way too many episodes that revolve around boring side characters.
I like that the later ones have more variety.
The biggest problem I have with the show nowadays is the lack of creativity, the majority of it's episodes today feel like retreads of previous episodes except more boring and lackluster.
They need new and better writers
The writers are new, but not so much better.

The problem is that the producer and the showrunner are working on both the Loud House and the Casagrandes and that has the consequence of prioritizing getting episodes completed rather making sure that episodes are good.
Another problem is that both seasons 3 and 4 were written by new writers brought over from other shows, which is one of the reasons there's less emphasis on the family as a whole and more on just a one or two characters, this and the fact that writers often write their episodes away from the other writers and this causes tone and quality problems.
96A. I like that Lynn Jr is representing the Aromantic without being forced. It's touching to see.
Yeah, I agree. I know some people might hate this episode, but for me, much like Good Sports, Singled Out was honestly a step in the right direction for Lynn's character.

I have to say, the Casagrande “story arc” was really disappointing. In fact the story arc should of gone more like this:
Once Ronnie Ann moves in with her relatives in the big city, she’s back to being a bully again. However this time she gets in trouble for her bullying behavior and now she has to face the consequences of it.
Here is where the story arc itself becomes more like a redemption arc for Ronnie Ann, where in each episode, she does every thing she can to do make up for her past misdeeds and become a better person. As she overcomes her personal problems and learning valuable life lessons.
I actually love the Casagrandes more than the Louds, to be honest.
Their personalities are more varied (as well as their ages,) they actually LEARN from their past mistakes (unlike Lynn and other members of the Louds) and the setting is just a bit more interesting than Royal Woods
sadlobster1 the point I was trying to make here was that if they’re going to advertise something as a “story arc”, they should stay true to their word. Have a bunch of episode focused on a characters development or have an overarching storyline that raises the stakes. You know Stuff that should be qualified as a story arc.

Kind of ironic that the lynn episode you liked the most is on the season you hated the most
Speaking of which, the fact that many viewers (and Lynn herself) have said she's "not into romance" has led folks to believe Lynn's "Asexual" (which is defined as either lacking any form of or having a low interest in romantic feelings.) I'm not saying whoever believes this is wrong.
I just have a difficult time trying to understand the term, especially since Lynn DID have one other instance of romantic attraction and it was towards Lincoln's tutor from Study Muffin

I come from the future where season 5 is almost over and its has its good moments but when it gets bad, its easily the worse season out of the whole show. For a season where the characters have gotten older, they really jump the shark by not giving them new designs to reflect that. Lincoln design is just screaming for a redesign now that he's in middle school.

From what I've heard, Kings of the Con is considered one of the show's lowest rated episodes in history; possibly lower than No Such Luck

What made Exchange of Heart Howard & Harold so bad?
I personally think that the show should've had three seasons because each of the original three represents how the kids who watched the show saw the characters.
Season One: They're girls a little boy would want to slap in the face because they remind that boy of their real life, yet love at the same time because they have their own problems and you respect them because of those problems.
Season Two: The more you learn about them and the more you watch them grow as people and the more you respect them, especially Luna.
Season Three: The full circle of these characters comes to a close where the dad finally becomes a chef and everyone works together to make sure his dream comes true, in which it does at the end. And with him naming his foods after each of the girls, I think that's enough of a conclusion for me.
Basically this show should've been The Office, where you go "Oh I wish there was more of that" as apposed to them doing loads and people saying "I wish there was less of this".
Yeah I agree, the Cooked episode serves as a good series finale for me

I skipped to the final thoughts of the Casagrandes miniseries and then to the general ratings, since I don't really have the time to watch all of this in one sitting. Maybe I will actually watch the whole thing in multiple sittings later on... sometime in the future.
Now, with that said (and SPOILER ALERT, for those who prefer watching the whole thing or haven't watched the video yet), let's be real: before the video's release, we all saw it coming that this season would get the Garbage rating, and that the Bottom 2 would consist of "A Grave Mistake" and "House Flip" (the latter of which I disagree with, since I found that episode very hilarious, even if my interest on "The Loud House" as a show had long died down years ago and its resurrection this year was short-lived). Anyone who's been following Yoshi Player on Twitter and DeviantArt and catched up with Yoshi Player's small posts of many new episodes of this season as it progressed (like me) had seen all the signs that pointed to that. In all honesty, I think Yoshi Player should do himself a favor and cancel this "Every Episode of The Loud House Reviewed" series after the Season 5 video, so that he can jump off the "Loud House" bandwagon, before it starts taking a toll on him and on the quality of these videos. I get that he wants to finish what he started, but even I, as someone who is obsessed with finishing what I started (at least most of the time), can tell you that, sometimes, it's just not worth it, even if you actually manage to do so. I mean, even Pieguyrulz, who pioneered this whole "Every Episode Reviewed" format with "SpongeBob", understood this.
Things like this make me afraid of starting an "Every Episode of Amphibia Reviewed" series (as I got hooked to "Amphibia" just last month) right now, while that show is still running.

I've been waiting for this video to come out, and after watching it, I love the amount of effort put into it. Glad I could help you out with the objects, and here's to doing it again for Season 5.
Speaking of the objects, I noticed that you didn't use the object I provided for "A Grave Mistake" (the skeleton gavel). I have a feeling that you went with Ricky the Rooster as the object instead because it had a better effect of showing your disdain towards the episode. Not complaining, I'm just pointing out. Also, I'm glad you got a more positive outlook on "Last Loud on Earth" , as well as showcasing the garbage variant I provided.
As for my thoughts on Season 4, I think it's a bit of a step back from Season 3, my favorite season of the show, but I still liked the way this season came out in the end. As it stands, this is my second favorite season of the show.

In Any Given Sundae the rest of the scenes in the episode were really great especially the scene where Lily called a sibling meeting even though some of the other siblings call sibling meetings, I mean come on

Yoshi Player, I agree with you on Kings of the Con. To me, it’s the worst half hour special of The Loud House.
Tbh Kings Of The Con And Sundae Muddy are on the same level however i think Sundae Muddy is worse due to how messed up the writing was and how there was so much derailment in the characters
@@nicholassims9837 yeah in All Honesty The biggest i had seeing Kings Of the Con was those dumbass Judges Alone Not Lincoln And Clyde or The Sisters Nope The Judges they were the real reason on how Lincoln And Clyde Got Their Selfish Idea And had the nerve to call them out on it when in reality they were being to harsh and bias towards them and even gave them the worst part in the entire movie.

I respect your opinion. Although, I strongly disagree with it. I can totally understand some of the reasons some people hate the newer Loud House, but I personally like it. I like how they put more attention to the characters other than Lincoln now so they don’t seem as one-dimensional as they once were. I also see Lori and Luan as a lot less unlikable as they once were. Luan’s predictable comedy seemed to be way more repetitive. I also like how there were no April Fools episodes showcasing her, as she always came off as unnecessarily mean-spirited in all of them. Lori no longer is a major asshole. Being that Lori is the oldest, she should be the most psychologically mature, but in the earlier seasons, she acted much like Lola, and getting mad for reasons based off of their petty attitudes. I personally find a lot of the worst episodes (April Fools episodes, No Such Luck, Brawl in the Family, Sleuth or Consequences) to be in the earlier episodes, as well. Let’s go through some of the notes.
#1: I agree.
#2: She is still my least favorite, but I agree that she isn’t as bad.
#3: I don’t necessarily mind recycled stories with the same concept, as long as it is taken in a different direction. A lot of the things you criticized for doing this were VERY broad, in which many stories can branch off from this. It would be understandably hard to not “recycle” a plot based on your standards, at this point. Someone lying, feeling paranoid, etc. and branch out in a TON of different directions. An episode having a similar concept to another doesn’t make it bad to me, by default, as long as you can mix in different elements. I found many of the earlier episodes, on the other hand, to be repetitive montages often regarding the whole “yup, I have a big family” ideal. Such as, “It’s a Loud, Loud, Loud, Loud House,” “In Tents Debate,” “Project Loud House,” “the Green House,” and probably a few others (those are just ones I remembered off of the top of my mind). I can make the same criticism about earlier episodes by stating that many of them were basically just 11-minute jokes about the struggle of living in a big family. Overall, I don’t think recycling plots are something that really concerns me, or something that was not bad in earlier seasons, as well.
#4: Meh, I never found the series very funny, but I certainly do not think that is was more funny before. I mainly, however, watch the show for its characters. I suppose there is not much need to make an argument about what I consider “funny,” because our natural tendencies to what makes us laugh cannot really be altered. I never laughed really loud, but I did chuckle a lot. Humor isn’t necessarily my biggest genre, though. For me, it is good character. Next, I personally don’t care if a character is dumb, as long as they don’t come of as unlikable. Although, I’m not sure how they got dumber.
#5: Problem is, we already have strong character development from Lincoln that came from the start (being that episodes put him directly in the center of attention), while all the other characters (more specifically, his sisters) were one-dimensional. Whenever it comes to cartoons, the meanings that are inputted at the start of the season don’t really mean anything to me, if I feel it can do better. I definitely do think that this show has mostly abandoned its older meaning with focusing on the life of a boy with 10 sisters, but I do like that abandonment, considering that I like this better. Again, the genre I favor is likable characters, so the addition of more dimensions, as well as toning down some of the unlikable behaviors, appealed to me. I do think we should still give good regards to Lincoln to make sure he keeps up, as well, but I think it is important to focus on the others. I personally saw the older seasons as trying to fit 11 characters into one episode, but making Lincoln more so the center of attention.
Anyway, that’s all. I am personally excited for the fifth season, especially seeing that they may be getting a year older, and I definitely find this season far better. Except for the Casagrandes, I agreed with you on them.

I think this season is painfully mediocre, on the one hand- almost half of the episodes are good and some of them are REALLY good, for example: Any given sundae, love birds and a dark and story night
But on the other hand- It have quite a lot of bad episodes and some of them are really dang Awful, for example: Kings of the con, A grave mistake and a pimple plan.
So yes, this Season is really mediocre and i hope season 5 will be better.
@@thecupheadfan1837 I will stop watching the show after Season 5. The main reason why is because it's clear the writers are running out of ideas. The show is now bland & stale and Season 6 will most likely be seasonal rot for other reasons. Some companies especially Fox and Viacom milk their successful franchises until dry. The Simpson, Spongebob, and Family Guy all went downhill mainly because it's stale. Modern Family Guy is godawful because Seth MacFarlane want it too die so he try to frustrate the audience to eventually lead them quit watching the show altogether (but it barely worked).

I had a feeling Season 4 was gonna be a Garbage season. It's a shame cause there are a lot of episodes I did like and a few I consider to be guilty pleasures. The same can said about episodes from Seasons 1-3.

The biggest issue with the loud house is *In My Opinion* is that they focus alot more on character development and on each loud sibling one by one instead of them actually working together like they used to.

A Grave Mistake seems like The Loud House equivalent of Are You Happy Now?
I hate Are You Happy Now. It's my most hated episode
Funny enough, I'VE come up with better ideas for some of these episode topics in my fanfiction. For example; in one of my stories, I made it so that Haiku (who I find is the more interesting Goth character of the show) is the one to deviate away from her Goth conventions a bit more than Lucy.
An example of this can be found in a oneshot inside my anthology fanfic called "A Day in the Life of the Gal Pals." The title of the oneshot is called "Rascally Rennies with the Gal Pals" and while I won't spoil too much. What I WILL say is that it involves the characters attending a Renaissance Faire and Haiku goes as a princess.
It's also revealed in the story that she was originally blonde, before she went Goth. I got this idea from when Lucy in "A Grave Mistake" said Haiku hadn't been a Goth for that long

Remember when spongebob was in the dark era of the show in seasons 6, 7 and 8, well seasons 4, 5 and 6 should be the dark era for the loud house. It will get better eventually
We don't know how long the dark age will last and some people consider S4-5 and even 9 of SB (including YoshiPlayer himself) to be apart of it's dark age as well.
But I agree with the Loud House's dark age started with season 4.

Yeah, I recently saw it. Not *as* bad as April Fools Rules or Fool Me Twice, but yeah, it was pretty bad. I gave that episode a 4 out of 10.

Sure there were some truly awful episodes and a good amount of boring ones, but I think this season still had a ton of great episodes, that in my opinion, out weigh the bad ones. Again I respect your opinion, but I just like this season despite the road bumps along the way

Then we get to the convention. I partially agree with yoshi, and Lisa is the only one who cares about Lincoln and Clyde and credits them with the idea of The Card Counter. I also agree that those judges are SO STUPID! I HATE THEM! HOW CAN THEY NOW INCLUDE LINCOLN AND CLYDE IN THE MOVIE?!? WHAT THE HECK?!?
Then we get to the part where the two boys decide to kidnap The Kitty. Honestly, I don't think that part is THAT bad, and it also had some funny enough gags.
After that we get to the best part of the episode, which is the action sequence. Everyone had the time to shine here, and it was just great.
After the action sequence, Lincoln and Clyde are proclaimed Kings of the Con, but OBVIOUSLY, there needed to be a twist, and they said the truth about how they kidnapped the kitty.
Then we get to the WORST PART OF THE EPISODE, THE ENDING. IT IS JUST SO SO UNFAIR! THE SISTERS COULD'VE SAID THAT LINCOLN AND CLYDE DESERVE TO BE IN THE MOVIE, BUT INSTEAD, THEY GO WITH THAT ENDING WHERE LINCOLN AND CLYDE HAVE TO SUFFER, BECAUSE WHY NOT?!?
Overall, it has good parts and bad parts, and I think it deserves an Average House.
I get it you want to show to do some more risking and all that but I don’t think the loud house is that kind of show think it’s strictly a comedy ever being a strictly comedy show I think is doing pretty well so far
I'll admit that I was slowly starting to lose interest in the show during this season's run: there really were more average or bad episodes here than good ones, and considering some of the things I've heard from season five, maybe it's for the best.

And on 1:18:52 yeah i feel if Lynn Sr. Was replaced with lincoln no one would bat an eye about it...i say that because people hate tgis scene because it’s “”””abusing”””” lincoln. Because apparently even glaring at him is considered abuse. And yeah i put that in like 5 quotes because there’s no physical abuse in that scene whatsoever.

@@pd7961 The sisters being annoying like in season 1, and the biggest problem with this episode is a family schedule! The rule is that lynn is supposed to tell everyone that dinner is ready, but that didn't happen, Lincoln told Lori, luna, and luan that dinner is ready even though that's not his job, AND LINCOLN WAS GONNA BE IN THE EPISODE IN THE ENDING!!!! SO WHAT WAS THE POINT!!!!!!!!!!!

*I know I commented this before and deleted it but please just hear me out.*
I think this review was overall too negative for me. I actually thought season 4 was okay, to say the least. Not the best the show had to offer like seasons 2 and 3, but definitely not the worst like season 1.
But what really hit me in the wrong spot was just how one sided, and nitpicky this review sounded overall. You made it sound like there were notable flaws in even the good episodes that make them only sub par compared to the good episodes in seasons 1-3, and it was those flaws that dragged the episode quality down. This could be because I don't look into the story, the characters, and everything else as deeply as you do when watching shows like The Loud House, but I personally think you looked way too deep into the storytelling and the characters, and that killed the mood. Granted there are episodes I didn't like for this season either, Kings of the Con, Deep Cuts, On Thin Ice, and some of the Casagrade episodes to name a few, but saying almost half of the episodes this season were bad, therefore making the season itself bad was pretty harsh.
Which brings me to my second point, I really don't think you should give up on the show entirely because of one bad season, I know that's probably not the case, but that's what it sounded like. The way I see it, a new season is kinda like a chance to start over for the show. I actually have high expectations for the next season BECAUSE the kids are going up a year, and that hopefully gives the writers the insensitive to be more creative, and write better stories for the episodes. I just want to say, at least give it a shot.
I do apologize if I said anything offensive, and that I consistently made this comment just to delete it. I had to really think about what I wanted to say, and how to not make sound too harsh towards you, and anyone else who agrees with you on this season, and the past few times, I thought I was sounding too mean, hence why I kept deleting. I do respect your opinion, and I will say that since I don't review the show as passionately as you do, I don't have that much room to talk. But I just wanted to put my opinion of the season, and this review of said season out there.
