I suspect you have upset the Tesla fanboys with so many dislikes. No matter, l have been asking myself the same question. Opted for the Kia, don't want to drive at over 100mph or reach 60mph in under 7 seconds, l want to keep my driving licence & have a reasonable driving range. In the UK the Kia is considerably cheaper than the SR+, better range, better build quality, a 7 year warranty & is far more practical. The 2020 model also address some of the issues raised. It is also very good to drive.
tesla electronic are fantastic yes I give you that, I love the dancing model x. I was going to buy a Tesla, but I did my homework and............ nope the build quality, paint job and customer service are crap STILL! So no I bought the e-Niro much better quality, fantastic paint job and great customer service.
@@Ray.842 really i have zero issues with any of those things. they've mostly fixed them with some exceptions as with any vehicle. i also keep in mind tesla is young
tesla canuck I’d like to wish you good luck, I hate it when anyone gets shafted by anyone. I’m just not willing to take any chances when spending so much money. I will say though I did see a model x 2019 today and it did still have 2 panels out of alignment.
You answered my question, e-niro or Model 3, here in Sweden Model 3 long range costs around $67-68K and can go little bit up if chose 19" wheels and red color while e-niro Advance Plus with TECH-Paket costs about $53-53K, depending on change rate between SEK and USD, that pretty expensive for a budget EV but you get about $6K from the gov for EV bonus on both cars. Model 3 drives sporty but you feel the car interior is empty, it takes a while until we get used to interior with nothing but a big screen in the center...
@@CatoCarGuy Thank you. How much higher does it have ? Is it like a SUV in a way ? I cannot get a Nero here in Pennsylvania today. Hope they can all its sale here soon.
The two approaches are very different. The E -Niro seeks to replicate exisiting car controls with some enhancements. The Tesla with a large screen and minimalist amount of multi function buttons loks more futureistic but the E-Niro is easier to transfer existing driving skills. Both approaches are valid and time will tell :)
I agree with you. The e-Niro is better. I have to children and the e-Niro is definitely a better choice as a family car. The rear seats are ridiculously small and uncomfortable on the Tesla. I also prefer the design of the Niro.
Honestly? I have 2 small kids, and we have driven both cars, the rear seats are the same size, except the Niro Is a little higher. Cabin space is nigh on identical, technically Tesla has a fraction more actually.
@@mybullit to tell the truth I tried the car again during the summer and my experience was better. Probably because I was not wrapped in loads of winter clothes.
@Grizzy Bear In the US at least, Model Y is $50k base price, whereas the top trim Niro can be had for about $34k after incentives. That's a huge price gulf.
Since you rested your case, and because you have you know that you can no longer make anymore arguments. It would have been stronger if you used actually data, not made up data which you used.
@Grizzy Bear would you rather have a unreliable and cheaply made, yet more expensive car quick to you or rather wait for a cheaper yet more reliable one?
Lost all credibility when you said it was a Hyundai! Wtf. It's not a Kona. Doesn't even know what he's driving. Clearly this was scripted by someone who read the details from the net. Yeah, finish on Tesla is subpar for the price, but I've never heard anyone question the materials. The fake leather is lushesly soft.

Niro is by far the inferior car. Tesla Panel gaps and paint finished is so 2018. Niro’s interior is more Readers Digest decor than anything else. Clearly this guy is a bona ride Tesla hater. Lastly, please note he did not do a comparison of software and software updates or specific comparisons of autopilot technology. And what’s the range of the Niro compared to the Tesla?
I tried to do some research on the internet and every single serious test anybody performed had Kia manifest a better range than Model 3. Not a surprise though, Model 3 has a little better efficiency (in terms of miles per KWh), but Kia has 64 KWh battery while Model 3 SR+ only 54 KWh. We TSLA investors have to admit Kia made a surprisingly good EV. Now the question is why are they making so few of them and whether they are making money off of them. That being said, I don't agree with the comparison of the seats in the cars at all. Tesla makes their own seats and they are known for being super comfortable and not showing any wear after hundreds of thousands of miles driven in them.
Nia Niro EV is a better car, but Tesla has the only advantage about the Auto Pilot system.
truthfully done review, well done mate.

This video (even though accurate) is bound to upset the cult of Elon.
Frozen Car Guy Cult? Is that the label you use for anything you don't buy? Or did you already use the term "fanboy" in a recent comment?
Kia has sure come a long way.
How high is the seat in Nero compared to Model 3 ? Meaning do we need to bend more to get in a Tesla or is the same for both Nero and Tesla ? Thanks
The Nero has a higher ride height. You crawl into the Model 3

Don’t understand when you said 100kwh charging with the Kia… they are limited to 77kw
My Niro hauled a cabinet 5ft long by 3 ft square. Try that in a Model 3. How will the cheap materials in the Tesla hold up over time?
I have had a model 3 for 2 years. Looking to add the kia for the tax credits next year.
This Kia is better try and fix Tesla good luck 😉
It's obvious the Tesla is the car to beat. Very Biased. Seems KIA is a great EV, probably has very competitive batteries, for those in the know.
Tesla reminds me of a Bricklin.
Brent Hill In which way exactly?
When it's all said and done the overall quality of the Kia is way better than a Tesla

Depends entirely on where you are in the world.
If it doesn’t get close to self driving it can’t compete
You can install Openpilot and it gives you some great self driving.
