I know this is 4 years old but i just got an S3 and your videos have helped me immensely the past week.
I ended up making a Midi mapping template for Maschine MK3 that maps Group pads E-H to all 64 slots on the focused remix deck.
It also maps the 8 knobs to the POTS on the maschine to control D/W and the single/group FX POTS For unit 1&2.
Has pad group D that functions to stop individual slots in remix decks.
Pad group B allows you to cycle which FX are active in the units aswell as take snapshots and toggle between Single and group fx. It maps the buttons above these knobs to activate and deactivate the fx individually.
Pad group A is mapped to the mixers function of FX unit sends so you can also press a pad to activate and deactivate the fx units in each deck individually.
And lastly it maps the 4D-Encoder to switch the focused Deck.

Cheers, that was awesome. I've spent a few days with both Serato, VirtualDJ and Rekordbox and am glad to have finally found what I need ('need') in Traktor's Remix Decks. I also appreciate the little producer tips like setting the In and Out points when the deck is stopped to edit samples. I'm going to go hunt down your sequencer video now. P.S. YOOOOO at 45min where you drag the loop from Track A into the Remix Deck in B and use it as a LOOPED SAMPLE, BOOOOM!! That was sick. I thought you were about to use the recorder to do that in a round about way. Just the straight drag and drop, UGH, so sick. Glad I kept watching, this is why I chose TRAKTOR!!!!!
Alright this is amazing. I’ve had the Traktor S8 for about two years now and I haven’t messed with the remix decks yet, but this is really inspiring. Great tutorial! 🙌🏽🙌🏽

Superb. Wish I’d started watching your tutorials ages ago. Have an S4 Mk3 and have only ever used remix decks for 1 shots. Got an F1 arriving tomorrow and can’t wait to play around with it for doing on the fly live track remixes
My main problem is when I close Traktor all the samples I’ve loaded disappeared. 1 shots. When I open all are gone. None saved. How do i fix that? I have a controller like yours

Hi, absolutely love this video I've just bought an F1 and x1 to go alongside my S4 and this has been so helpful to get an understanding of how to use it properly!! I was wondering, I'm about 50 minutes on this video and you're making your own remix set do you have to think a lot about key when you're taking the samples because I presume they can all get a bit messy if the key doesn't match?
Will be watching more videos for sure, are there any others in particular that would be good to watch for my setup? Thanks!

one more thing - the NI remix sample zip file is just not opening on my mac, so unfortunately I'm going to have to open it via itunes, it's going to take up a bit of space
got it :-) instead of saving the zip in downloads, needs to be saved / opened automatically in archive utiility

Question: it appears you have either stickers or some sort of overlay of the traktor key mappings on your qwerty keyboard? Could you share how you acquired and or fabricated that?

This is a really useful video because I've been using an S5 for ages and I never knew I could do all these things. Now why couldn't Native Instruments include a tutorial like this in the 1st place?

I got a question and maybe you can help me, i m a starter and i have a traktor kontrol s2 mk2, I normally use 2 tracks decks and 2 remix decks. Everytime i got a good loop from deck A or B and send it to deck C, i m trying to leave it in the deck C but it sounds at a diferent time, not talking about the bpm, but about the moment they re playing.
What i want it s to use that loop from deck A in remix reck c but playing at the exact same tempo and time, so i can leave it playing in the deck C while i search for a new song to deck A and without having any notice in the audio.
Is there anyway to do that?

I have an issue tho.
When I use F1 controller, I have no pre-listen function (the one that is activated by pressing Shift+ monitor on F1). And when I press pre-listen on the remix deck in TRAKTOR - the signal of the running loop from F1 goes to the headphones as the same as the main output. I cannot hear anything in cues. Do you know how to fix this matter please?

hey mate, you got any idea how to load/fill all sample slots in remix deck at one time instead of loading them individually to create a remix set? I saw it somewhere there is a keyboard shortcut to do this. Do you know it?

Is there no way the remix deck to beatmacht perfectly to the normal deck without doing it by ear using the bend? I mean to match both beats using just sync and getting no phase shift as normal decks would do. Thank and great video

How does the Traktor S4 MK3 control the 64 samples bank in each deck? Considering the pads are only 16 per channel... I wish a quick sample use in a musician style...

Have a problem with saving my remix sets something about a corrupted file flashes at the bottom .. and when I try and load it back in . Wasted an hour finding sample clips that I thought I was saving as I went on to find it wouldn't load anything back and lost the lot. No happy
Its not working properly. When I activate the 1/4 Quantize , and play a rythm on maschine with one shots, samples play a very weird rythm not in time. Please help !!!!!!!

I can't seem to find a single video or site or in the manual how to delete a sample from a remix cell slot. Either in the Traktor Pro 3 software, or on the s8 controller. Can anybody please help?
Hi! I have a problem with samples. When i play them in loop mode its out
of rhythm I mean tempo. Nothing is synchronize even if the sync is on. Deck C and D are not sync with A or B. I sync every column manually bit its out of rhythm.Only A and B deck are sync. Does anybody know how to set it up or I have software problem or I missed something?

how can you compare the scratchbank to using remix decks
I have a problem which i cant figure out if is even possible on the Remix Decks. I collected several drumsessions from popsongs. They have different bpm. One is 85 bpm, other is 125. Offcourse i know the sync-function, but….. im making a mashup of songs. So after 1 minute of looping 85 bpm, i want to switch to 125 bpm. I could change the mastertempo, but they should be done manually (as far as im aware) in the software. And that is my problem: i wanna do that within a second. The questions is, HOW? Or am i trying an impossible thing to do? Ableton does have the possibility to switch the mastertempo/bpm in any part of the song…. But i wanna do it with my F1’s in Traktor. Im a (bedroom)DJ, not a producer….
Please can traktor work with xb3 controller on macOs?
Traktor Remix decks; this was the reasons why I bought an S8. However hardly used them.

You can double click the phase meter to get it back in sync without using the nudge button
My 4 beat samples are not syncing,it play as she wish 😂 do you think what is the problem? I use Djm 900nxs mixer for audio,and its external mixing mode,do i need internal mixing mode or?
@@frattuncbas yea use internal because external will rely on the mixer and not the software.
@@bboymac84 you cant use internal mixing with Djm 900nexus mixer.
How do you save a remix set?
is it normal that the volume with loop recorder is WAY lower than the original sound?
Also on some tracks it makes some funny stuff, like it chops something off from the last beat...
hi guys...can anybody help me....i have a mixer s2 mk2 and the traktor pro ..when i turn on the sync on the track and remix descs the song make some glitches and gets out of the beat between samples and song..is anything wrong on the setings or is it a software problem ..thank you.

U JUST NEED TO PUT A FOLDER FULL OF MUSIC IN THE PLAYLIST BIT AND AUTO PLAY THE WHOLE FOLDER CROSSFADER ACTION IN THE SETTINGS,NO BUTTONS TO PRESS FOR EVERY SONG U CAN PUT FADE INS FADE OUTS ON TRACKS U CAN JUST STAND A WATCH IT DO ITS THING ITS AMAZING SOFTWARE

This video was super inspiring so I downloaded the remix package from NI website and followed the instructions to load them into the latest version of traktor and when I did they all came up blank when I load them into a deck and it is causing traktor to keep crashing. I requested support from NI and they sent me a tool to open but the link is non functional. Has this happened to anyone else? Maybe delete everything and start over?

any updates on the issue? Didi you have a latest firmware for your s8? NOT the traktor konrol 3... im asking about updating the drivers of s8 controller itself!

@@blueberrysalmon6712 Same issue with my Traktor 3, load them into the Traktor Pak just like how N.I tells us and nothing happens. Tried restarting program, changing file directory, nothing...

That sample kit may be good for Trance, House, EDM, etc.. but. I'm not seeing the benefit of the samples for hip-hop. Traktor would be much better if NI hurry their ass and come out with Stems Like Serato, Algoriddum, and Virtual Dj have,

I have one question to you - I am currently using Pioneer DJJ-Wego4 controller (2decks controller, track deck mode A&B), and I recently bout Traktor F1 to add some “spices” in the way of using the remix decks for deck C & D. And my problem is that the Volume Faders (left & right) on my Pioneer controller control at the same time the volume of deck C & D. But I just want to have volume control over my remix decks on F1. Any ideas, which changes can I make to change this? So simply I need to deactivate the volume control option on my Pioneer control for the deck C&D. Thank you in advance!
