my favorite input out of this is when the man said to "record your mixes"!!! IT IS SUPER SUPER SUPER important to practice that. You will NOT learn if you don't. It is of the utmost importance. And just like he said, listen to ALOT of mixes. ALOT ALOT ALOT, and study how the good DJ's "phrase" their mixes. And then you will unlock the power

Quick question : I have recently ordered the s4mk3. Does putting on custom stickers on the jog wheel result in it not reacting to when you touch the face of the jogwheel. Thanks and great work

I use sync periodically depending on what I’m doing but I’ve found that my S3 mk3 that the tempo will jump and then the tracks are off, I set the bpm manually and beat match but then the tempo jumps. I then have to put it on sync to stop that happening. I use tempo sync though rather than beat sync. Is there any way I can map my controller to lock the tempo without it being “sync” thanks
Oh yeah, when beatmatching manually in increments, if you mix (nudge) for the hi hat and percs it will be ALOT easier and you know for sure that way that every single instrument and phase will be in time.

41:30 You have the same controller as I have, so tell me, why I do not have theese optioons like "scratch/pitch bend" ?
Because I mix dnb predominantly using the bpm slider usually takes far to long when I’m trying to go for things like doubles, switches or triples as I usually have my hotcues set 16 beats before the drop, I know how to beat match because with stuff like house and garage it’s not as quick. But dnb I struggle and have to use sync else I’ll miss the queen points. How do you change the bpm quicker than the bpm slider?
first time beat matchers....this is not my tech by the way someone told me about it years and years ago.
if your trying to learn to beat match without sync for the first time try havin your pitch on the new record as fast as it will go +8 then you know the new record will have to be faster than the one playing so you just have to keep slowing the new record down till its the same speed as the one playing. it just takes a tiny bit of the guess work out when your just starting out, hope this helps

I dont use sync I'm here with a Traktor trying to learn how to match without sync lol. I have nothing against sync I'mjust oldschool I drive a 5 speed. I'm into doing the work as I find it entertaining. if you use sync it's less steps and less involvement in the music wouldn't you say? that's just me though all my friends use sync and are trying to get me to use it haha
i have one question! Can you manualy beatmatch with an s5? i realy like it but my friend uses serato and is trying to convice me that traktor is not the best :D he says that there is alot of things that traktor cannot do
you can.
You adjust the BPM with a knob and match the beat with the touchstrips on the lower edge of the controller.
I do use sync (often) but when I am doing a B2B with another DJ (or 2) knowing how to beat match manually when transitioning is required. I usually try to come in on the one... but a little adjustment is often needed. Thank you for explaining the technique in more depth here.
when i beat match i spin it fast, never been a problem for me
Sync or not? you are already on a digital platform, so why not use the benefits of digital. It is a no brainer, using sync allows for more creative dj'ing, so who is watching. The customer on the dance floor is not listening whether you have syn'cd or not, but enjoying the presentation.
And Break Beat ??? How can mix with traktor ? Sync dont run with mine .

With 4/4 dont run but im study the best way to do .
can you use a laptop next time that view is from a desktop and you should show how it looks on a laptop being no one is taking the desktop to a gig
