Trying Acelith Mods For Logitech Wheels - Logitech G29 G920 and G923

- Logitech G series wheels have been around for so long that a strong, professional third-party modding scene has grown around them. Prominently amongst them is Acelith. I take a handful of their - G923 G920 G29 G27 G25 - accessories, give them a go, and round it all up in this video!
Advice for UK Customers:
When you order to the UK, you'll be expected to pay the VAT due on it to the courier, plus a handling fee. This is how it usually goes:
1. Place order
2. Item reaches UK borders
3. Courier reaches out to you to pay the VAT (20% of the value of the goods) and usually a handling fee (£12 ish usually)
4. Item arrives
For example - If your order totals £200 at Acelith, you will pay £200 to Acelith at the time of ordering. A few days later, you'll then pay £40 (20% VAT) to the courier once it arrives to the UK, plus a £10ish admin charge. This is NORMAL for things entering the UK post-brexit.

I have the original Acelith F1 style rim for my G920. Had it for over three years now and it's been a gamechanger.
Question ... Did you upgrade your G920 wheel or do you still have it?
Very nice, hopefully they make a telemetry display on their wheels one day.
I would love you to check out the logikit, to upgrade the base logitech pedals, i got a set and from start to finish took around a full afternoon, it actually works, would love to see your opinion on it
I've a big fan of the magnetic shifter mod.
Got one as a stocking filler one Christmas and as 3D printed and I REALLY tighten them I've had to replace mine twice (again my own fault for over tightening)
When without this mod having to use the stock shifter feels numb.
To me this is one of the very few cheap mods for the G29/... wheels that is well worth the cost.
As of now I've magnetic shifter mod, Truebrake, upgraded power supply.
Not gone to whole wheel replacement but as a (relatively) low cost upgrade it's something I could ask for a Birthday/Christmas present without it being excessive. While going to a T300 or any DD would be more of an investment.
For context: I'm in my 50s and play about once a week so not looking to spend loads on my setup but little upgrades that are casual budget friendly are nice.
At this point you should have just bought a cheap DD setup. Moza R5 or Cammus C5

Also, as mentioned the mods were incremental presents.

Thought I'd mention that the shipping costs is the same for a number of places anywhere to the UK now - I ordered a Fanatec R2R setup, and they removed the VAT from the cost. You pay import fees to UPS after they receive it + a £14 fee (I think). It appears to be a little cheaper than if VAT had been added.
That's true for Fanatec, just not true for Acelith for small orders. Not sure exactly what they have to do to send low value items across our border, but whatever it is they're not willing to do it
@@dannyleeracing Ahh Understood. Probably not worth their time I guess, there's a 22% export tax from Italy to pay for most items which probably adds up. Shame. Could be worse tho - they could be in Canada... now THAT is expensive!
I strongly recommend instead of investing in logitech upgrades, switching to a low-cost direct drive, such as moza, cammus. no matter how much you try to make modifications, it will be a gear motor with lag and 2nm of torque

It sounds crazy to take it this far, but clearly there's demand! Acelith built a business around serving that need that's been going for years. Logitech wheels are absolutely EVERYWHERE
